Bourbon Trail Mass Ave

We won tickets for this event from Mydrinkon & YelpIndy & it was perfect, as it was on my husband's birthday, & he loves whisky/bourbon. I played DD for the night but did sample at each place. For $30 you got 2 free drink tickets, $5 bourbon specials, and awesome ambiance, as you strolled leisurely up and down Mass Ave, stopping in at local bars. Some of the places participating: Rathskeller, Bru, Metro, Mesh, Black Market, Chatham Tap. I'm not a bar-goer, as we have an almost 3 year old at home. We just don't get out much, so for us, it was the first time we were in these places, even though we've walked past them many times. I missed out of Bru & Black Market, but had a fantastic time. I hope this is a trial run of a regular offering in our theatre district. I especially loved seeing the patios and back alleys of these bars, with all the hanging flowerpots, twinkle lights, and exposed brick. Does that make me weird? I love that sort of stuff.
