We were invited to a birthday party at Bongo Boy, and boy did we have some bongo fun. I've been to many kid birthday parties at many different venues, and Bongo Boy impressed me because everything was so well organized. From start to finish, the birthday party went really well, all the kids had a great time, and you could tell that the staff at Bongo Boy had done this before and they were in charge of the situation. From the perspective of a guest, the party was super relaxed and fun for everyone. They started with some balloon play, which consisted of just putting some balloons out, turning on some music and letting the kids go at them. Honestly, you could probably just set kids up in a bare room with balloons and they would have a good time for an hour, but then it was time to play with some simple percussion instruments. The kids played with those for a while, and then we took a break and ate food and cake. Afterward, we got into a circle and beat on the bongos! We banged on the bongos for a good while, and it makes a lot of noise, so just be aware of that if you have kids who might be sensitive to noise. (My kids had to take a break after a while because it got too stimulating for them.) The birthday party ended with some more balloon play, and everyone left smiling.Bingo Boy does family music time / family drum circles every Saturday at 9:30 a.m., as of this writing. For a small fee, your family can spend the morning making music together. Pretty awesome!

I came here for a birthday party on Saturday and it was such a cute venue. When you walk inside, it's very happy and colorful and perfect for a party. The owners were very accommodating for the party, served the food, drinks and even did the music activities for the kids. They were able to engage the kids in songs and musical instruments and also invited them over to play with the drums. The drums were amazing and the kids reaction to it was super exciting! Once the music and other activities were over, the owners cut the cake for everyone and served it to the party. The only thing that I was kinda sad about was the fact that they a smash cake didn't happen but it would be hard to do a smash cake at the venue due to the mess that one year olds make. All in all, this was a cute venue and the location was good. It's kind of hidden though....ProsMusic Venue Owners were nice Cons Maybe an area for smash cake for parties to make messes

I have been there for a couple different drum circles. When you walk in all the drums are lined up in a circle ready for play. As you come in, you are invited to pick a drum spot of your own (or if need be to share with another). For the age up to toddler drum circle class, there are several sensory type music toys (egg shakers and others). Everyone is encouraged to feel there own beat and express it however they wish. Then, at the end, there are bubbles and dancing with "scarves".It is very similar for the older crowd of kiddos, however, this is when a couple different drums are played with. The instructor does a really good job in both settings in keeping the kiddos engaged and following instructions. The only very minor downside is there are instruments in the main area before you get to the activity center that is super enticing for the littles to play on (however, they aren't to be played with)...I would say something helpful to do here is to put up movie theater roping to indicate that those aren't for play as well.Overall, it is a wonderful experience and would highly recommend.

What's better than one bongo....20 more! I witnessed a drum circle for the first time and it was pretty awesome. I love drums in general because they just get you moving and a shaking out your seat lol. Today, I celebrated a 1 year old's birthday at Bongo Boy Music and it was good times. They provide the space, tables, chairs, drums, and a few birthday decorations but the rest was BYOS (Bring your own stuff - food, utensils, party theme decorations, and your crew!). The set up was just right for this 1 year old's party entourage. The beat of the drums definitely had me wanting to dance like Lupita in Black Panther, lol. Thank you Bongo Boy Music staff for your energetic, lively atmosphere. I'll have to come back and visit for a community circle on Thursdays!

We've attended a bday party here a year or so ago & today we had our 4yr olds party here. This place is awesome!! Great for kids bcs they stay busy & having fun. The drum circle is a hit for both the kids & the adults. Ms. Lisa & Mr. Ed are great with kids. So patient & fun! They were both so helpful & kind. The party area was set up before we arrived & party includes table clothes, eating utensils, balloons, etc. They even helped with clean up! I would recommend this place 100% & would definitely have another party here! Very satisfied!

We are semi-regulars at this delightful, laid back rhythm and percussion experience for toddlers. Our 2 year old literally asks to go the Bongo Boys on a fairly regular basis. The class is led by Lisa, a self described "PE teacher gone groove". For $5 on a Saturday morning you get a 30 minute music filled, instructor led stimulating activity for your toddler. The music is geared towards toddlers meaning adults will be unknowingly humming the tunes burned in their brains all week long. Activities involve fine and gross motor development with rhythm as the central focus. It is well worth the $5 cash.

I took drum lessons here quite a while ago, 12 or 13 years maybe for about 2 years. My instructor was Shaan France. When I started, I had only a basic knowledge of drumming (how to hold a stick, a few rudiments) and by the time I departed I could read music, play through entire workbooks, play entire songs I had always wanted to learn, and improvise for hours at a time. I also had the tools to further develop whatever else I wanted to learn. The facility and staff is great, but most of my praise belongs to Shaan himself as a teacher, a person, and a friend. Even after the 10+ years since I took lessons from him, if I have the occasional question I can't find the answer to, I can still hit him up and he'll give me some great advice (not that everyone should be doing this, just saying he really loves to teach). But remember you have to put the work in outside of lessons. Also I was about 20 when I took lessons and most of the other students I saw were on the younger side, but I never felt weird about it. You're never too old to want to learn something you've always desired. Give it a try.

My son has been taking drum lessons for years at Bongo Boy music with Ed. In my humble opinion this is THE place to increase your musical ability whether you play drums or guitar or piano or vocals, etc etc etc. All the staff are amazing at what they do and I have personally witnessed my sons abilities on the kit soar to new heights - and grooves:)Can't recommend Ed and all the instructors here enough
