GOOD OLD FASHIONED SMALL TOWN COUNTRY BUFFET!Great Food:The selection isn't overwhelming and its all good. The fried chicken isn't overly battered, the fried fish isn't dripping in grease, they have a decent selection at the salad bar & tons of pie! You're not here expecting amazing food, you're paying $10 to stuff your face with good old fashioned country dining! This is basically authentic family owned & operated Ponderosa!Amazing Service:Family owned & operated for a few decades and the customer service shows you why they are still in business! My crew told the servers my name and they asked me what I wanted to drink when I came out of the restroom. It seriously does not get better than that!Cute Venue:Clay City is a refreshing blast from the past, seriously feels like you're going back to the future! Its a small rural mid west town that is still clean, well kept and lively. The nearby car dealerships have definitely been there for decades alongside this eatery. You'll see a steady flow of patrons on Sunday!

Love this place! Angie is the best because with every order you get to chat with her as well. She is a friendly and fun person who makes you feel welcomed! She also is super creative with her sandwiches. Just the other day, she made the best breakfast sandwich I have ever had!

Kindness matters and Angie is a fine example. She is pleasant and friendly as she works as the waitress and cashier at the restaurant. The food was good too. It is staple food for the area, and it is very reasonably priced. This is not a franchise business. If you enjoy small town food and atmosphere you will be pleased.

My wife and I stopped while waiting for the folks at Clay City Pottery to get back from lunch. I had the hand breaded tenderloin sandwich. My wife had the meat loaf. The tenderloin was as big as my plate (but on a regular hamburger bun) and the meat loaf was piled high. In general, the food was the archetype of southern Indiana/Midwest cooking: wholesome, plentiful, and a bit bland. I'd send folks there just for the experience of getting honest-to-goodness regional takes on good ol' American standards. We shared a slice of black raspberry pie, which was very good. Homemade, for sure, with a nice tartness. Service was just what you'd expect in a not-too-busy small town restaurant...friendly and reasonably efficient.I wouldn't drive a long way out of the way to get there but if you're hungry and in the area, Bob and Angie's is a good place to get lunch.

Great selection on Sunday buffet + friendly efficient service. Sweet tea is some of best I ever had. And, don't forget to save room for Oreo fluff for dessert. Delish!
