Board & Brush Greenwood

I had never even heard about this place until I attended a birthday party here. They are doing major construction on the street in front of the shop, so you have to get to it from the back street, which works out better anyway because that is where the private parking lot is anyway. The private lot has a decent amount of spots available. There is also street parking available within a reasonable walking distance. You can enter the shop through the back door through the parking lot or the front door.You can make neat wood signs here at the shop, using personalized stencils that they make for you. The signs are the quality that you would buy at a store such as the "Good Vibes Only" signs. They supply the wood, the stain, the paint, the stencil, gloves and aprons. The first thing that you do is stain the wood with the stain of your choice, then they place the stencil on the wood. After the stencil is placed on the wood, you paint (dab) over it, once it is painted to your liking you remove the stencil, the staff does any needed touch ups and then they let it dry. It is easy peasy. My 7 year old had no problem making her sign.They host bridal parties, corporate events, bachelorette parties, graduation parties, and of course, birthday parties. They also offer PYP (Pick Your Project), Specialty Workshops, and DIY Take home kits. The shop has adult and regular drinks available to sip on while you are making your masterpiece and a couple of tables with chairs outside on the sidewalk to sit and lounge. They call it sip and paint.The staff there was very friendly, patient and helpful. The were truly amazing and dedicated to making sure that everyone had a great time and made their masterpiece that they envisioned.All the party's attendees did have a great time. I am glad that I was able to check this place out. I highly recommend this shop. It is a nice and unique activity and the staff pushes it to a five star place and it is well worth checking out.

They made a tricky process seem easy. From distressing the wood, to sanding it, to staining it, to paining it (including changing the colors) the instructor was helpful every step of the way. You start with some cut wood and you go through every step of creating your project. It feels ambitious to complete the whole project within three hours but somehow with the help of Ellen and the rest of her team I got it done. Thank you for all of your help, my chargers turned out fantastic and will be used the next time I host dinner and the sign my husband made will hang proudly in our home. Also, they take a glamor shot at the end so you can show off your project. We had a holiday party at Board & Brush and it was the best time! Each person had their own Secret Santa project they worked on and the instructors were so good about helping everyone so we didn't get lost. If you're new to painting projects, they will make it so simple for you and there are many stains, designs and paint colors to choose from so you can literally customize everything to your liking. Projects are affordable - $25 to $35 range and all supplies for making your creation are included. A great place to go make something as a gift or for your own home.

We booked a ladies empowerment work gathering at Board and Brush. Let me first say that it is entirely overwhelming picking a project to do! If you are close to the store, I'd recommend walking in and perusing the options so you can see what they have to offer. (Even though I didn't do that, I'm not disappointed in my selection.)I've only done one other event like this and everything but the stencil paint was already prepared. This is not the case here! You get to do it all, from staining, hammering together multiple pieces, the hanging and the stencil. It was such a fun night and the instructors are there to help if you are pretty worthless like me. =)After seeing what other options they have to offer, I'm itching to schedule another workshop. Do you have a small event to plan with ladies? Maybe a date night? You won't be disappointed! Note - you can bring your own snack and drinks, but they do have a small drink offering for purchase.

This was so much fun! We came here for a bachelorette and they were so accommodating. It was so easy to follow and the associate was SO helpful. I would recommend this to anyone wanting to do something a little different! They have so many options of boards you can pick from. And then you get to pick your stain and your colors for the board. They had a lot of covid procedures in place and we felt very safe. We were able to bring our own wine and snacks.

Such a fun activity! Local owners who are passionate about their small business. Super helpful and a great group activity!

A group of my friends signed up for Board&Brush and we unfortunately had a family emergency requiring a cancellation for our date within 24 hours of our scheduled experience. I contacted Katy through email and she was amazingly accommodating. She let all of us reschedule for a different date which was very kind. Once we were able to attend we had a blast! Board&Brush was structured enough to not feel completely lost but allowed for a lot of creativity and time to create the piece you wanted. Highly recommend attending :)

This was a great girls day out. The DIY can be tedious but finished product well worth it. Cost of event decent, while wood and paint are generally cheap the instructors knowledge makes up for it, we needed it!! I will be going back again this spring, great experience.
