So wow! Their hot seared salmon salad was huge, delicious, and healthy. It was unusual but good that most of the items were sectioned on the spinach. I am not a fan of almonds but their slices seemed glazed and amazing. Also, I was surprised about the raw asparagus which was very green and fresh for this time of fall. I tried the basil vinaigrette but eventually gave it to my guest for her entrée; I gave her my radish slices, too. I tried two-fruit flavored water but it was not what I preferred. Large portion for $10.99 so reasonably priced. The restaurant was bigger than I could see. Definitely, I will return and check it out more. One day, I may try another entrée but that salmon salad is on the top of my radar.Only downside is that the restroom is outside the restaurant down the hall. However, it is a beautiful, large, and clean restroom.

Local, fresh food in downtown Carmel. The place is really cute with funky decor, the chandelier had forks in it.You order at the counter, and they bring it out to you. The food is super fresh. The Thai Noodle salad was delicious, crisp, tangy, filling.... I wonder how they get the perfect avocados on all the orders? What would give it the 5th star? I'm getting old.... my eyes are getting weak. I would love a printed menu to view. Also, would be great for some more detail. Some of their entrees are spicy that you wouldn't think like biscuits and gravy. The chorizo really gives it an extra kick. (I liked it!) but the hubs who ordered it, is spicy adverse and did not really get to enjoy his meal. Also they don't scramble eggs in the traditional sense.. they come out flat which was odd. I enjoyed it and will be back when in the mood for fresh, healthy goods!

Blu Moon is our regular lunch spot for my cousin, aunt, mom and I. One thing we all always get is the BBT pasta salad. To us, that is their main specialty. We usually switch around which sandwiches we get. I've had the ham and Swiss on a pretzel bun, the chicken salad sandwich, and yesterday I got the Grinder sandwich. So far my favorite is the grinder sandwich. They also have tons of homemade desserts that change! We tried out the peanut butter white chocolate cheesecake and the walnut banana cake. The only reason I am giving this a 4 star over a 5 is sometimes the desserts can be a tad dry. Also, they are closing down shop in may 2020 so hurry in before it's too late! (They will still offer catering though)

We really enjoyed our experience at Blu Moon Cafe. The staff was very helpful in selecting our orders which were paninis and sides. I went with a spicy Grinder (hot ham and salami with provolone and giardiniera) and a side of smashed potato salad. The heat from the sandwich surprised me, but it wasn't too hot. The bread was perfectly toasted, but I will say that the sandwich got a little messy since the giardiniera dripped quite a bit causing the garlic mayo to get on my fingers. My wife ordered a half tuna melt and thought it pretty good as well. She got a side of chicken soup with large cubes of chicken, but no noodles. It was spicy as well. (She doesn't have a tolerance for heat so she left it unfinished. I thought it was pretty good, but the chicken definitely got overcooked.)When you order, they give you a number for your table and bring it out to you when it is ready. I didn't see anything for busing the tables when done, so I assume they do that for you.Overall, the staff was great, the food tasted great, though a bit on the spicy side and a little messy. If you don't mind licking your fingers or using a second napkin, then this is a place to try!Review #2024

I recently visited Blu Moon Cafe and was pleasantly surprised at how much I loved this place! Firstly, the service was great. The staff were very nice and helpful since this was my first time. It is an open and welcoming environment. There is plenty of seating and an outdoor patio for the summer.Blue Moon Cafe serves both breakfast and lunch. I went for lunch and ordered the California Turkey sandwich. They even let me sample 3 different types of homemade salads to decide which one I wanted to accompany my sandwich. The sandwich was delicious! It was very fresh and filled with turkey, avocado, tomato, cucumber, havarti cheese, and dill mayo. The dill mayo was excellent! I chose the curried lentils as my side. This was also very tasty. Overall, I definitely recommend Blue Moon Cafe. I can't wait to return and try some other items on the menu.

My new favorite lunch spot, hands down.Blu Moon is a short walk from Main Street in downtown Carmel. A great place to grab breakfast, lunch, coffee, tea or a sweet treat. On my inaugural visit, I ordered the vegetable wrap - highly recommend. Great bang for your buck, too. The wrap was large enough to stretch to two meals, like Brittany S. said, but I conquered it in one sitting because 1) I was hungry and 2) I wasn't sure how well it would hold to the next meal/day. I also recommend the black bean feta salad. Oh, and the Thai noodle salad...and the California sandwich...yep, pretty sure you can't go wrong here. Also, I'm weirdly obsessed with their lemonade (fresh squeezed, perhaps?). Friendly and quick service, fresh eats, ample space (indoor/outdoor) and natural lighting - just some of the many reasons Blu Moon is my new go-to when I'm hungry midday. I can imagine this is a great place to have a business meeting or get some work done!

I kinda had a feeling Blu Moon Cafe would be delicious just based on driving by and seeing the cute restaurant, and I was right! (I guess sometimes it does pay to judge a book by its cover!) I got the Chicken Ranch Wrap, which came with peppered bacon, spinach and tomato, all wrapped up in a green spinach tortilla. Yum! It was the perfect light lunch that I was looking for. It came with a small pile of pickles, which are housemade. I don't like pickles generally, but I savored each and every one of these! They were a little spicy and tangy. This is one of those restaurants where it took me a while to decide what to order because everything sounded so good, so I'll definitely be back to try other items from the menu.

If you are thinking, "Where can I go to get the most affordable lunch in Indy?" or "Where do I get the most consistent meal?", Blu Moon might not be for you. However, I give it 4 stars because I always enjoy my experience. I've had some hit or miss items on the special board (today's short rib was a huge hit). The Italian Grinder is a hit more times than not! When I'm feeling super naughty, I get the tuna and add bacon. That bad boy will set you back $12+ so it might be a decision of whether or not my mortgage gets paid that month if I eat it too much.Every place in Carmel should be more like Blu Moon - locally owned, cool vibe, different sandwiches/sides and everything homemade.

Great delicious options for lunch. This is a cute, fast, delicious walk up counter/ bring it to your table cafe. They have amazing dessert (scratch made ding dongs- so good) great fresh salads, hot and cold sandwiches and lots of choice. I had a half a panini blt- great fresh ingredients and perfectly toasted peasant bread, and because I was doing a half sandwich combo I had my choice of a side salad from the many options in the glass case or chips. I ended up getting the chips plus adding a Side salad. I ordered the cucumber salad which had cucumber, apple, jicama, peppers, onions in a very light vinaigrette. It was a perfect summer flavor and a great light pairing with the blt. They also have hearty soup in the winter and you can do a half sandwich small soup combo too.The line was long but the wait was short. And they have outside seating so we enjoyed the summer feeling of alfresco dining which also being covered from direct sun (skin damaging) hot. It was a great little lunch!
