Bill Monroe Music Park & Campground

In August, my father in law moved into Brown County Health and Living, so we needed a nearby location to sleep when we went down for visits. At first we only had a truck bed tent, but they made us feel welcome and we thouroughly enjoyed our experience. After my father in law passed, we purchased our first camper. We just knew our first stop had to be the Bill Monroe Campground! As newbies, we were very insecure about our knowledge of all things camping, so needless to say, everyday was a learning experience. The staff and campers at the campground were fantastic at showing us the ropes! We ended up leaving our camper there for 3 weeks and driving back and forth to work. We had such an amazing time. They were so accommodating and friendly and made sure that every single one of our needs were being met. Our campsite was perfect... nestled into the trees, but still close to other campers. It was the perfect place for our inaugural run!In addition to the campground, they have a comprehensive bluegrass museum. It's filled memorabilia from the early days of bluegrass! I couldn't believe how much time I spent just perusing the space. They also hosted several activities, like hay rides and meet and greets. I strongly recommend this park and can't wait to go back in 2025!

Love this place, come camping here all the time. Couple trails, peaceful, Animals, good atmosphere!

Great little place when there isn't festivals if you're looking for a nice quiet getaway, we stayed in the "woods" in our camper. They had water/electric hook ups. The spots are pretty close together but there's plenty of space if you choose the right location. We had no issues with loud people or music, the little lake was amazing for bluegill. But I recommend no barb hooks as there is turtles about and we hooked one. The main complaint I have is there is absolutely nobody to talk to after hours if you have an issue. I called multiple times with no luck.

This place was nice for camping, but paying to take a shower cost a little bit to much. Needed heat in the restroom/ shower house. All kinds of different campsites.
