Big jays soul plate was a treat. I mean everything was good, the greens were full of flavor , jerk chicken chef kiss, Mac and cheese was delicious, flavorful, and creamy, the right amount of cheese just how I like it. I'll give this place 9/10. Only because I wish I had some jerk sauce to drizzle over with my chicken the flavor was good but it would have made it extra good. I don't know if you have to ask for it or they forgot to add it to my order but I will definitely be back and will be sure to ask for the jerk sauce.. Call in your order it takes about 30 minutes.

Jerk chicken is fall off the bone and perfectly seasoned. Every single side is amazing- savory greens, some of the most unique and well seasoned Mac and cheese and even the rice had a great coconut flavor. Going back to try the oxtail- served Friday and Sunday, call in ahead by Thursday

I had a few times. More of a soul food and all American spot. Black owned and welcoming. They are nice and generous and the ambiance is a nice fella.

FOOD WAS NOT AUTHENTIC! OVER PRICED! WORST FOOD EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD IN CINCINNATI!! Ordered the soul food plate and oxtail dinner. The jerk chicken was not jerk had no taste was given two oxtails and they were mostly fat no gravy was given. The mac and cheese had a sweet nasty taste to them honestly all the food had a sweet taste. The cilantro lime rice had no cilantro lime taste it was just sweet rice the green had no flavor to them. The only good thing about my experience was the customer service

My husband and I decided to try this little place, so worth it! We got the soul plate and Rasta pasta, HUGE portions and amazing flavors!!

Customer service was great. I ordered to go even though there are a few tables inside. I think it's a family owned spot, but I wanted to try it because of food network. I order the half order or rasta pasta with chicken. It had a hint of sweetness to it that I didn't like at first but eventually came to like it. Also ordered the soul plate with jerk chicken, mac & cheese & greens. All were pretty good. Only downside was no jerk sauce on the chicken like i see for other reviews then they charged me $1 for some on the side which was odd, but i still liked the food overall.

Ordered Soul Food Plate. $22.80 What a rip-off. It was a chicken leg quarter that was tough, (not falling off the bone) and the skin was soggy served over a bland rice. Had greens and mac and cheese on the side. Mac and cheese was good. Greens ok. Wanted some sauce, and that was extra. A side item is almost $8.00. There is no restroom. Never again!

Food is amazing! We loved the soul food plate and will be coming back soon for oxtail!

Omg just finally tried it yesterday and the food was delicious. Everyone needs to go and try it the Mac and cheese, the greens, the chicken had spicy but not too much, and the rice!!! All amazing! Highly recommend this restaurant and small business!!
