Hong Kong quality Cantonese food in Indianapolis! Food prep is done with skill, and you can taste the heat of the wok (wok hei). I'm from South Bend and we had some business in Indy. Stumbled upon Benyue through yelp and so happy we did. Instead of shooting in the dark at a new place, we asked the proprietor, Elsa, for recommendations. She was really thoughtful and gave outstanding advice. It's not unreasonable for me to make the drive from the bend just to eat there. In any event, whenever I have to go to Indy, I'm going to eat at Beny

Came here a year ago and def got better. 牛肉肠粉 (Minced Beef Rice Noodle Roll) - def not for me蜜汁叉烧包 (Steamed BBQ Pork Buns) - Needed more filling香菠咕嚕肉 (PineappleSweet and Sour Pork) 8/10- This was totally not pork. Loved the sweetness and the chicken worked well. 中國芥蘭牛/雞 (Chinese Broccoli with Chicken) - the Chinese broc was cool but would opt for something new next time

Benyue is used to be called Lucky Lou, we used to go to Lucky Lou's for their dimsumsWe recently tried Benyue for the first time since they changed their name and location, we had high expectations of it being the same thing we used to have and it didn't disappoint Their dimsums was as good as we remembered, although I think they have less dimsums options the usual things we get were still available, one of the ladies that probably owns the place stopped by our table to say hello and proudly said how they made their dimsums in house! We got the bbq pork buns, gyoza, dumplings, spare ribs and custard buns, they were all delicious and tasty, if you're looking for a new place to try definitely try this placeTheir new location have a lot more booths than their previous location and I feel like it's bigger than their own one, it's right on the Castleton mall location although it is not inside

I have been wanting to try this restaurant for months and we finally did one Friday night. I'm so glad to say it did not disappoint! My first piece of advice is to come starving - prep like you do for thanksgiving dinner by limiting what you eat all day - you will over order I am certain of it. Next, give yourself plenty of time. The only reason I am giving 4 stars is because service was very very slow once food was delivered. We were finished for nearly 25 minutes before we caught someone to ask kindly for our check. That said, the food is epic. Our favorite dish of the night believe it or not was the garlic stir fried bok choy. I slid in a green veggie alongside our dumplings for balance and we ended up clearing the whole dish. I recommend this, the pork belly, and the steamed buns. We did not overly enjoy the dumplings and or scallion pancake. Our peppercorn chicken was very tasty but could be outside of some people's comfort zones. We have already talked about what we'd order the next time we are back!

I'm so glad this restaurant moved up to northern Indy (used to be Lucky Lou)! It's located in the Castleton Mall, which is great since there's a lot of parking and you can walk off all the food you eat afterwards at the mall. The restaurant is huge with lots of seating and it's clean. There's a ton of options on the menu, including an authentic Chinese menu. All of the food is fresh and tastes authentic. I highly recommend getting some Dim Sum such as the Har Gow (shrimp dumplings) and Sesame Balls filled with Red Bean. The hot and crispy fried chicken is one of the best things on the menu! There is usually only 3 or 4 people working, but the service is always great. They consistently go back to your table to fill your drinks and always ask if you need anything. It is a little expensive, but it's worth it since you get so much food and all of it tastes delicious. If you're looking for Dim Sum in Indy, this is the place to go!
