Benjamin's Family Restaurant - Rockville

Stop by here today for a quick lunch and really enjoyed the great hospitality . A very large and tasty grilled chicken salad with a cup of home made noodle soup.. The setting was very clean and spacious, and the lady that took care of me with the red hair. Did a great job.

Was in Rockville to pick-up an item at a local shop... came in early and read Benjamin's was a solid place for breakfast. Arrived and found a nice, newish building with a fairly full parking lot. Came in and saw the retiree-crowd inside, as well as some hunters... so you know it's going to be good. Quickly seated and waited on... I had a Chef's Special - half biscuits and gravy, two sausage patties, scrambled eggs and hash browns. B&G - not bad, but no sausage bits in the gravy. Didn't taste homemade - maybe from a can? The biscuit was good...Eggs - hard to screw up... not badSausage - the rubbery, McDonalds kind. Taste was okay but not what I was expecting from a local spot. Hash browns - good, but not very flavorful Service was great, coffee was good... the food just didn't "wow" me. I am probably in the minority, because clearly there are/were a lot of people in the place... so maybe I should have tried something else. I would give it another shot... I just like when the small, family-owned diners use their own ingredients and recipes, and keep the frozen/canned stuff to a minimum. No pix - just forgot!

The new building is great, the workers are so nice and food is pretty good. Only complaint is I never got a refill for my drink or was asked if I wanted one. The waitress was never by our table for me to ask myself and at one point she did bring one person at our table a refill without asking, but didn't bring anybody else one. Not a huge deal though. The food was what you would expect although I only got eggs, bacon, toast, and hashbrowns. I will go back for dinner.

Still really good basic home cooking with someone else cooking it. We usually end up here about once a year after cleaning and decorating family graves. This trip we got. Beef Liver and Onions. , Chopped Steak Dinner, Ham and Cheese Omelet, and Beef Manhattan. We all really liked our meals except the oldest nephew who got the liver and onions. He wasn't super happy with it but he ate every bite so... Drinks were kept full and emptys removed.

Ordered two steak meals for delivery AND first off the food was Cold and they forgot the Mac and cheese so when we called back they were rude on the phone... We ordered a salad AND as soon as we opened it there was someones hair on it...I guess they do not wear hair nets but the health department will answer this question for me...I called and asked for the manager and it is now going on three days and still no word back from them...

We were in the area checking out some covered bridges & man do these guys have some Delicious food! The service was amazing & we had a great time here.

We came in on Wednesday night and ordered our meals and while we were sitting there a mouse ran across the table next to us... So I asked the waitress if they have issues with mice in this restaurant and she laughed and said yes she calls him mickey... This place is a joke...we paid for our food and left...

They have the best menu I ever saw! Anything and everything you would ever want. I had the grilled pork chop. Husband had the steak. Food was awesome! Fast service! Would go back if in the area again. Waitress very
