We were on our way to Cox's Plant Farm and we stopped to check out the produce and plant selection. Everyone was wearing masks, including the patrons, and they were monitoring the number of people inside the open air stand. An entrance and separate exit had been set up.The hanging baskets were affordable and gorgeous but I had already purchased my baskets. The annuals and perennials selection was limited but healthy and a nice variety.Once I went inside the stand I found prebagged greenbeans, tomatoes and new potatoes I had to take home with me. They were fresh and made for a nice summer meal. If you're in the area stop by and checkout the selection. It's a short drive from Plainfield on US 40.

Adorable stand right off US40 in Clayton. I came out this way to scope out some land, and this bright flowery shop caught my eye! I stopped in and found well taken care of flowers and fruit/veggies. The people working were nice and helpful! This will now be my first stop for fresh flowers in the spring!Parking is a gravel lot right next to the shop. You can't miss it!

Really love this market! It's located right on US HWY 40 between Plainfield and Greencastle (or visa versa depending on the direction your traveling). Open spring-through fall, the produce here is wonderful. Prices are dirt cheap (cheaper than your local Kroger) and you can really get a lot of food for your money. Plus, you're supporting the local growers and a local business. The market also carries an assortment of dips and sauces and some other jarred items. They have beautiful mums each fall, as well as pumpkins and gourds. 4/5 because depending on the day some of the stock is really low (slice tomatoes and sweet corn). Absolutely stop here if you're passing by on HWY 40. The market is even worth the extra trip though.

This is a true farm market on the west side, selling vegetables and flowers. Growing up in the city prior to the return of the "green" era we didn't see much of this. Moving out to a more rural location as an adult I actually anticipated seeing more of them. Belleville farm market is close to our home and has a good selection of fresh vegetables when needed. If you are traveling between Plainfield and Stilesville it's on your way and worth a stop.
