I love checking out food trucks, don't see them as often as I used to but given the chance I'll get something off of one. I came across beach bum at Indiana city brewing during the 4th of July celebration. You have to start with beer, and I had something delicious and new to me. The Apple ale. There was a good amount of activity outside so I went to check out the dj and the bags games because this is Indiana. After contemplation I finally pulled the trigger and went and ordered off the truck. The menu is impressive! Plenty of options, but what stuck out to me was the lobster tacos! Oh lord they were delicious, the lobster was delicious and not skinny.Flour tortillas, and a juicy pico with a creamy sauce that all around was awesome.Hate to admit gluttony in writing but I wolfed down the tacos and hope I see this truck again soon '

I've been following this place on social media ever since bookmarking them on Yelp. But because I live outside Indy, my schedule never had me in the right part of town on the right date. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to catch up with them at a Milkshake IPA party at Guggman Haus where BBBq was providing the food. So glad I did!The folks in the truck were cranking out the sandwiches quickly. I ordered the Chopped Brisket and the Ric Flair Sandwich. The sandwiches aren't cheap, but they don't taste cheap either. The brisket was not shredded, but somehow the large chunks of juicy (with a hint of char) beef mostly stayed inside the bun. The flavor? Excellent. They also have four kinds of BBQ sauce to add (a hot sauce, a sweet, a Carolina mustard, and a mango.) The meat has a lot of flavor on its own, but dialing it in with the sauces can really take it to another level. The Ric Flair was a pulled pork sandwich topped with a creamy, yet tangy coleslaw and sliced pickles. I have to admit that this one is messy. The thickly loaded sandwich is challenging to keep together and you may end up wearing a bit if you aren't careful. But the flavor? Again, it was delicious. Be sure to grab lots of napkins and possibly a fork because I am certain there will be some tasty bits that spill out onto the paper tray the sandwich is served in.Excellent food. Friendly and quick service. And I found out that they are getting close to opening their brick and mortar store in Washington Square Mall in the Fall of 2019. They will be on the northwest side of the mall building.I am glad I finally found a time and location for meeting up with this food truck. I am looking forward to the new stationary spot to open.Review #2901

I have seen this food truck before, but didn't even consider it because I figured it was all meat. But, my friends and I got to the Bates-Hendricks Street Fest early, when there was no line, and I noticed that they actually had Vegan Tacos and Vegetarian Mac & Cheese available, in addition to some vegetarian sides. The worker said they always have a vegan or vegetarian option, which is fabulous! I tried the Vegan Tacos, which are also gluten free because they are on corn tortillas. Instead of chicken they have tofu that is seasoned and smoked the same way the chicken is, and, geez was that tofu good! Topped with a nice mix of cilantro, tomatoes, onions and hot peppers, it made for some really yummy tacos. I definitely won't automatically bypass this food truck in the future!

Pulled pork nachos are FIRE! I had Beach Bum BBQ when they were parked outside of Indy City Brewery. They give you options on your nachos to add cheese, sour cream, baked beans, black olives, or jalapeños! They give you the option to add the BBQ sauce on the side so you can put as much or as little as you want. I'm an avid nacho fan and these did not disappoint! The people working were incredibly friendly and knowledgable. Additionally; I had the fried mac n cheese bites. They put them on when you order so they don't get soggy. They were right out of the oven. I would have preferred more Mac n cheese in them. They tasted a little too much of fried dough. Overall they were great! Very reasonably priced. I would definitely eat there again! Perfect food to pair with beer so Indy City should have them back more often!

Some of the best BBQ I have ever had. I had never heard of Beach Bum BBQ before but in glad they were at Indiana city brewing for the 4th. My husband I split the thunderhog sandwich. It was pulled pork and a big sausage link on top and coleslaw on top of that. Oh so yummy and so prefeft to share. It was a $12 sandwich but totally worth every penny in my opinion. The other person we were with got lobster tacos. She said they were out of this world good. I'm not a huge fan of lobster but they did look like solid tacos. Def would have tried given the chance. Will def be on the lookout for Beach Bum BBQ on the future.

I tried this food truck specifically because they are going to put a brick and mortar location in my neighborhood. All I can say is...hurry and open! The bbq was wonderful. I got the brisket and it was moist and fork tender. They have a variety of meats and sides to choose from. I can't wait to try them again.

As a prerequisite to this I want to say that I think I know good BBQ. I come from a family that owned and operated multiple, successful BBQ joints that left people wanting more. Beach Bum leaves me in the same state. Every chance that I get I visit them to get my BBQ fix. Most recently I tried the Myrtle Beach Monster, and although the sandwich is HUGE, I wanted another because it was so good. Smoky pulled pork, topped with delicious cole slaw. It was a messy orchestra of delicious flavor. Sometimes you find a place that has good entrees and meh side dishes, But Beach Bum delivers in that department also. For me cole slaw especially is a huge gamble but theirs is great. Homemade mac and cheese and a creative take on baked beans that's amazing. If you haven't tried them yet you should. Everything they have is delicious and made with care and they are only the second place that makes me want to drink their BBQ sauce. The other was my dads. 10/10 WILL EAT AGAIN!

First time having their BBQ in the new location inside Washington Square Mall. It was a little hard to navigate to find their store front once inside the mall because there aren't any mall maps (you can find them on the west side entrance behind Burlington ) but finally we found it . They had the nice gentleman working behind the counter who was very friendly and helpful. I got the chopped brisket sandwich with mac and cheese. It was really tasty ! I highly recommend their medium bbq sauce or the zombie for some heat. We really enjoy the food and will be back! Hoping a great success for them with the new store .
