This was not a terrible place, but there were some small things that, if taken care of, would've prompted me to give it 4 stars. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and quiet. However, there was a strong pot smell between the lobby and our room on the first floor. The curtain in the room was not hung completely, so it was a bit hard to get it completely closed. My husband had to tighten the screws on the toilet seat so it didn't shimmy all over the place. We did not partake of the breakfast, but it looked a bit skimpy. Could we have found something to eat, yes we could have. We prefer a big breakfast and then we don't have to eat lunch. The only hot things were preformed patties of eggs and bagels/toast. Not sure if I would stay here again, but not ruling it out completely.

Our experience was not good at all. This is the worst Baymont I've ever stayed in. I gave it a whopping two stars because I have stayed at worse places. Those worse places have been to are no-tell motels that also have hourly rates. There were a few good things about this place and I will list them first so this does not look like an angry rant. The only reason I stayed here was due to a mix-up at my first choice down in Greenwood at a much better place. I had to make a last minute reservation during the Indianapolis 500 evening, so I grabbed what I could get without looking at how many stars this property had been rated. This choice was just above the option of crashing at my friend's new unfinished mobile home with no running water. That may have been a better choice. Here go the positives. The hotel is undergoing major renovations, so I overlooked a lot of the worn out look to the place. I'm sure it will improve. The AC worked fine. The beds were comfortable and the sheets seemed clean. The TV worked fine.We slept and were not concerned about our safety.I did express my concerns about the poor experience at check out and the desk person took down my litany of issues. I also made it clear that I wanted an adjustment on my bill. He was polite and let me know the the manager would be back the next day. Without documenting everything, he assured me that he had sufficient evidence and she most likely would be contacting me. Regardless of the outcome, my concerns were handled professionally. Now the reasons for my request to have an adjustment to the bill.On arrival, my friend wanted to pay the bill. The clerk whipped out a form that looked like some kind of affidavit. My friend was quite irritated at this as we had never heard of anything like this before. The desk representative was very kurt and not friendly at all.Yes, it is undergoing renovation, but the construction materials were were left out in a very sloppy condition. New materials were staged right under the canopy, work in progress was left in the hallways and ceiling tiles had been removed exposing utilities and compromising the fire protection they offer.Housekeeping equipment was left in the hallways over night, as was litter.Down the hall from us was a noisy neighbor with loud kids and a barking dog. I know. It is Indy 500 weekend but come on, man.Two of the lamps in our room were missing light bulbs. With this and the noise I asked if another room was available. It was, but it had no desk. I asked for two light bulbs I could put in myself. After a promise that he would bring them to our room, it was getting dark we needed the bulbs. At the main desk, I asked again.. He walked maybe four paces behind him and pulled two light bulbs from a cabinet. Why couldn't he just do this the first time?Lighting issues continued. The first lamp had a malfunctioning on switch. I jury-rigged it to stay on by playing with it. When I went to bed, I unplugged it to prevent a fire. The second lamp in need of a bulb was unplugged. The plug was bent. I bent it back to the point I could plug it in and like the first case, unplugged it to prevent a possible fire.Brushing my teeth, I noticed a crack in the sink. While I rinsed, the crack moved. It was a long hair that could no way belong to myself or my friend. Oh, and he found another hair in the shower. There were no facial tissues in the dispenser under the sink. The toilet seat had a broken pad to keep it level. The valve handle for the shower water flow and temperature cam off in my friend's hand. The shower curtain rod was not secured to the wall well and was in jeopardy of falling completely. At 5:45 AM, I was awakened by a beeping sound that was similar to a large piece of construction equipment backing up. Later I encountered another guest who complained about it also. I found no active construction equipment. Sitting in the lobby, I was able to identify the source. It was the do it yourself waffle iron. The problem is that this kitchen equipment was FAR from our room. As a former noise control engineer, I can have no explaination for how this sound traveled the way it did. There must have been another machine in a caretakers apartment - maybe.

The location was near my son's apartment but I would never stay here again nor recommend it. We were in room 238 and it had no safety latch. Furthermore, the door would not close nor lock. We asked to switch rooms but we were denied. A "technician" was sent up to repair the door. He did put on a safety latch and adjusted the hinges so that you could slam the door to shut it . He said the fire department broke down all of the doors. The only chair in the room was broken. The hotel advertised a hot breakfast and fitness room but had neither. The "breakfast" was bread and apples. The coffee machine was broken and filthy as well. Avoid this place.

Terrible. Didn't even stay a night here. I booked a room here about 6 weeks in advance of my trip. The day before I tried to call the number posted online to tell them I'd be arriving late after my flight but it kept giving me a busy/dead signal when I dialed out. I even sent an email the morning of my trip to let them know I'd be arriving late. No response. I arrive around 1 am to the guy at the front desk telling me they no longer have room for me and due to renovations, there are no more rooms available at all. They claimed to have tried to reach me to let me know but that's when they told me their phones and internet were down due to renovations anyway. So he probably lied.Regardless, the place looks like a dump...there was a stray cat sleeping outside the main lobby doors when it was freezing outside. Piles of dirt and rubble in the parking lot. Don't stay here. Don't ever stay here. Terrible customer service, dumpy building, clueless stuff. Go across the street to the Comfort Suites that actually knows how to run a hotel. Save yourself the trouble.

Don't stay here till construction is done and has better desk person. Bathtub needs replaced. Entrance floor to hotel tore up and have to walk on holy floor. Bedding was nice. Mask were required but desk person didn't always wear and didn't ask every other people walking in to put on mask.

Very DisappointingWe had stayed here years ago, and it was clean and a decent place to stay, nothing fancy, but fine-with a great outdoor pool.My grandson and I checked in for two nights and it was so horrible we checked out the next morning. The pool was dirty and slimy, the room smelled and was even the furniture surfaces were not cleaned. There was filth in the bathroom and black mold on the ceiling in the bathroom. When I reported this to the manager, she acted surprised. How could she have no idea of the condition of the hotel? She charged me half price, but shouldn't have charged anything. The dirt-stained curtains and dead bugs on the windowsill added to my disgust. Wyndham, can't you do better than this?

Left a one cause there's nothing lower. Don't waste your money or time here. First night guy on drugs screaming he was on fire! @ 11:pm in the parking lot for over an hour called for desk and the Indian/ hindu guy was more worried about what room I was calling from than calling the police. No hot breakfast except for waffles or bagels, toast one day no milk for cereal and he's always late for set up so if you have to get out early don't count on it. No pool, fitness or laundry!!! Though on the website doesn't say it. Worst place ever. At least there's a cracker barrel across the parking lot. Waffle house and other " hot" breakfast places a walk away. Minus -10 stars for this place. Won't come back!!!

I didn't even want to give one star but YELP made me otherwise it would have been ZERO stars!!! It needs to be shut down immediately. I doubt it is even up to code. No working elevator, dirty, the rooms smell musty, half the lights in my room didn't work. I was charged a $50 deposit ( just in case I trashed an already horrible room), was told when I checked out the money would be released, instead I was charged the $50 and when I called to complain all I was told was "yeah we charge you but then it gets returned 3-5 days later". If the place ever comes up on your search for a hotel... RUN!!!! Apparently they have been under construction for over a year, I think that is just a ploy to get you to excuse this mess of a hotel! SAVE YOURSELF, DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL!!!

They have stained tubs and didn't have towels and rags and i went to the front and they gave me stringy rags with stains on them. I then had to buy bathroom cleaner for the bathroom and even after i cleaned it still has stains in the tub.
