Bates Ice Cream

Love this little ice cream shop! They serve Hersey's ice cream and offer scoops, shakes, and a selection of packaged ice cream treats, including ice cream for dogs

Since I was in the Bates-Hendricks area was at one business then decided to do some walking in the neighborhood since it was a beautiful Fall Saturday Sept 30th day, and the last Saturday in Sept. Upon, walking in the ice cream shop you'll notice some slightly steep stairs entering the building, the ice cream shop is attached to house, I didn't see any accessible area for someone that would need it. The ice cream shop have been open in that area for 3yrs now, and when I walked in the ice cream shop the only person worked there at that time he didn't greet any of his customers coming in the door, any he definitely wasn't a people person. Nonetheless, I order same thing I alway order when I get ice cream which was one scoop of cookies & Cream, ice cream that's by Hershey's, and it wasn't bad. When I was there wasn't too many customers coming through, it's a small ice cream shop, yet it was clean.

Good ice cream not that expensive as a lot of people think and they got doggy ice cream which is so awesome

First time popping in. Simple little ice cream shops in Bates Hendricks. The staff were very friendly! We would love to come back.

Service was quick. They serve about 24 flavors of Hershey's ice cream, and you may sample them. In addition to traditional ice cream in a cup/cone, you can also get shakes, sundaes, parfaits, etc. I love the location of this ice cream shop right on East St in Bates-Hendricks neighborhood. Street parking is all free. The interior is clean and new as this store just opened a few months ago. A few tables are inside as well as outside.

I'm so happy to have Bates Ice Cream in the neighborhood! Their staff is really friendly and there's always plenty of free street parking on East St.Now, let's get to the ice cream They have a full freezer of Hershey's ice cream flavors so all is familiar. You can sample before trying and everything's super affordable. I had the Moose Tracks in a waffle cone and it was wonderful. They have seating indoors and a couple tables with umbrellas and chairs out front.They've brought ice cream to neighborhood association events before too and I'm excited to have them nearby! Will definitely be back

The ice cream is creamy and delicious. The service was so quick and the scoops were large! Such a lovely little corner ice cream store. The inside of the store is very well decorated and a delight to see. Perfect on a sunny day.

This is a great neighborhood ice cream joint! It had fun flavors and super reasonable prices. The attendant was very quick and friendly. If you want a scoop on a hot day, this place is a good choice.

Great variety of flavors!!! Ice cream was soft fresh and perfect for this hot day!!! The Superman had a bit of a fruity flavor to it, but was still really good! Classic strawberry did not disappoint!'n

This place is great. My husband and I love to come here on a hot afternoon for a cone! My favorite flavor is cappuccino crunch. Great Ice cream and great prices.
