For years, this has been my go-to Barnes & Noble - especially once Borders closed in Carmel many moons ago. I have fond memories of visiting the very unique children's section in this B&N tucked in the back of the store, browsing the once-popular CD and DVD section, and exploring the magazine shelves. I believe this is the largest B&N in the Indy area (don't quote me on that). If I've ever had trouble locating a book, the help desk workers are always available (and friendly) to help me find what I'm looking for. While I love my local library, there is something about browsing the best sellers in a bookstore that is a real treat.

Even though we're talking large chain bookstore and coffee house, it's 5 stars because it's literally a dying industry. I love being able to go there and hang out. Peek through books deciding which ones to buy. Thankfully this one has comfy chairs still. I've noticed many have disappeared at other locations.I live the cookies they have and usually cheesecake from Cheesecake Factory. My favorite is the peanut butter one.Another thing I love about these stores, the staff is always knowing what you're looking for when you don't remember the name.

I used to patronize Barnes & Noble regularly. As an educator, I was able to show my Educator card and receive a discount. The company abruptly halted the practice of honoring the Educator card. The cashier's explanation was convoluted but essentially financial. Rather than supporting a constituency group whose lifeblood matched the mission of the company, the educators, we were rudely removed as preferred customers. It will be a long time before I enter this store again.

Looking for something to do with my kids and decided to go to Barnes & Noble for a little while. We spent some time browsing for books and looking at their different knickknacks. We ended up buying a couple of items and had a great visit.

I was expecting a different store. Although when I walked in I didn't only see books, I saw much more stuff. They have a Lego and toy section. Great big store and has many books for all ages. Everyone there was nice. Also the Lego section had over $400 Lego sets! It also had a Starbucks inside! The store is amazing and will definitely visit again.

I was surprised that nobody had setup and reviewed this Barnes & Noble before. The place was busy with customers even during the day. The cafe (located to the right as you enter) seemed to be doing well. There were a couple cashiers manning their checkout counters to the left of the entrance. And staff members were set up at different stations throughout the store so that you could ask questions if you needed help. Otherwise, I found that I was able to browse to my own content without being hovered over. The store is arranged like many of the other B&N so there are areas where you can find books by topic, music & videos (in a separate contained area where you pay before leaving that area), and a toy/collectible section that spans from kids to adults. The store was clean and orderly and had a generally good supply of items to choose from.Review #3697

Did an online order for a book I had previously ordered from Books A Million. My Books A Million order got canceled and I had to find the book for a birthday gift. Lucky that B&N had it in stock and also wasn't a far drive. Went to the store and walked around a bit thru the cheap books. Found a couple bargains then went up front to pay and get my online order. Check out was quick and friendly. Store was neat and orderly. Happy they had what I needed and what I didn't really need too.

My idea of a perfect day always includes a trip to Barnes & Noble. This location is one of my favorites as I usually visit on a day off from work when I'm in Carmel to get a massage and do some shopping. So relaxing to browse the beautiful aisles and get piles and piles of recommendations. Service is friendly and can be trusted to help track down a book. I have to resist price-checking on Amazon before checking out because I want brick and mortar stores to stay open for my shopping pleasure. I always walk out feeling calm and relaxed and ready for an evening of reading. Also a great place for magazines, gifts, puzzles, and more. Love it all.

This bookstore has so much to offer, from its vast selection of books to its music and movie corner. This is easily one of my favorite places to go. First, it's a very large store, but it's organized so that you can find whatever you might be looking for with ease. I, personally, usually stay in the young adult section, and just in that space alone there are so many options. They also have cute displays of books that are half-off, or that are popular on Tiktok, for example, where book recommendations are a common genre now. They show off their popular books, as well as lesser known books to help readers find some new picks. The store has great deals and even offers a membership that will save you a lot of money when shopping. Besides books, this store even has a substantial selection of music albums, CDs, and movie DVDs. The section is completely separate from the bookshelves, so you can go there just to search for and enjoy your favorite music vinyls. And, finally, if you can't make time to go shopping in-store, the business has a simple website where you can explore and find the same choice of books. You can order the books off the website, and have them either delivered or go to pick them up. I would definitely recommend this store for any book-lover looking for a good place to shop.-NC
