The food was delicious. If you see the picture I posted, the food was as delicious as it looks in the picture. It was worth it making the trek just for the food. The restaurant is a little out of the way, difficult to find on the map. I think only those who know about know where it is. And my guess would be it only has a Somali clientele with occasional guests. We were the occasional guests and we felt awkward at first, but we found the restaurant staff to be so caring, kind, and generous, that we felt immediately comfortable. I think they are very welcoming to guests. In short, this is not the place to look for fancy dining. This is for those who are truly looking for a food adventure.

Solid portions. Hits the spot! I will eat anything spicy, ricy and meaty. Felt like Indian food with an East African panache. For those complaining about price, the portions are humongous. Open up your pocketbook and share the love with our brothers and sisters. Or don't complain when there no halal places.

This was the best Somali restaurant I have eaten at so far..... I was visiting Indianapolis from Texas, when my Somali wife decided to take me to an authentic Somali restaurant. This spot didn't disappoint. The waiter (Mr. Noor) brought us some dishes from the kitchen to try and sample before we ordered our food. The samples were literally a meal. We finally decided on what we were gonna get, I had no idea the amount of food we were about to receive, I was in shock. She got chicken and I got sooqar (which is meat) the chicken was fall off the bone the way you would see at a bbq restaurant but even better. The meat was tender and full of flavor, my mouth was in food heaven. They even brought out another sample for us because they wanted us to try the a different meat that was just fresh off the stove. My wife even went to the kitchen herself (after she was invited back there) to personally tell the wonderful cook Mrs. Hawo how great the food was and that it tasted just like her mothers cooking. We had some Somali tea because I've never tried it and the flavors were out of this world. I truly recommend everyone try this restaurant. Also it's not like a very fancy restaurant but it's also not a whole in the wall restaurant. It was just simply amazing!

Amazing! Truly genuinely authentic food, perfect in flavor and seasoning, even the picky eaters in the family enjoyed the food! They dont have much of a menu, but trust me what they do have is all you need! MashAllah hospitality is amazing too. Husband and wife duo, wife does the cooking and the food reminds you of home! There room for Salat, bathroom with Muslim shower, clean and Covid prep. Its not a family restaurant, mainly trucker come for a stop, but family can easily sit and enjoy without getting disturbed.

Don't let the lack of tables or ambiance throw you off. The food is delicious! Ask for a menu and the host will explain a little. I had beef suqaar and it was amazing! I ate it with the canjeero bread. Amazing! Wonderful spices and flavors and great hospitality. Be prepared to take some home as it's a lot of food. Enjoyed thoroughly.

We experienced in the past cuisines of various countries like Chinese, Thai, Mexican, Indian, Mediterranean, Turkish, Arabic, and Pakistani. While searching for different food, we 'landed' at this typical Somali restaurant. Though the ambiance was not attractive, we decided to give try some of its dishes. To our amazement, the lady at the counter did not understand English! They do not have any menu either! There were few customers around, mostly of African descent, and asked one of them to help us in placing an order. The lady was not helpful. Anyway, she brought a plate with rice and spaghetti with three chicken legs and a few pieces of meat. There was a plate of bananas and lettuce also. For three persons, the quantity of food was ok, and the quality was acceptable. Considering the quantity and quality of the food we found the bill quite expensive. There was no explanation or justification for this overcharged amount. The parking facility of trucks at this location may be the main reason for the drivers and some others to visit this restaurant. We were surprised to note the high rating given by a substantial number of the eaters to this restaurant.

This restaurant has very good service but the food choices were limited. The ambiance pretty bare bones. The food was plentiful but not memorable.
