Baan Thai Bistro

This place is incredible. It's so cute inside, but small and reservations are highly recommended. I took my friend and I told her that it was going to be THE BEST Thai food she's ever had. Well, guess what!? I. Was. Right. The crab Rangoon dip is everything. Honestly, I wanted to lick the lil skillet it was in. Lettuce wrap? Amazing. You get your choice of filling. Tom Ka and Tom Yum are sheer perfection. Any entree with crispy pork belly is worth shouting about.

Food: 10/10!!! Atmosphere: 10/10!!!Service:.........The food quality redeemed the service quality for me, so I definitely plan on returning. I find it strange that there was so much effort put into the aesthetic of the place, yet the servers were sweatpants and slippers. It's just not a professional look. I was seated at 2:50pm and chose this place specifically because they do not close midday like other Thai restaurants and didn't want to dine right before the break. The servers told me that they were already on dinner and I responded by asking if lunch went until 3. She said, "I'll be right back", instead of answering my question, which was almost comical. Ultimately, she knew it was before dinner and gave me the lunch special, but it was still off putting. Overall, great food and will be back.

Horrible experience with an online order. I would not recommend using the online order system. Placed an $80 order and received confirmation that the order would be ready in 25 minutes. Arrived on time to be told that they were busy and the order would take an additional 15-20 minutes they would text when ready. Did not receive any notification went back in 35 minutes after my arrival. Order still not ready another 15 minutes. Told cashier if you haven't started my order cancel it and give me a refund. They refunded the full amount. The owner made excuses and no attempt to resolve the issue. By the response from the owner it sounds like she is striving to be like McDonalds. From my experience they have a ways to go in customer service! A warning to reviewers: If you have a negative review the owner will contact you in the middle of the night via text to the point that. I told her if she contacted me again I would file a Police report!

Do not sleep on Baan Thai Bistro. It is everything that any Thai, for that matter, any restaurant should have. Delicious and clearly homemade food, great servers, decent prices, and a pleasant atmosphere. I had not been before and so tried the Pad Thai as a start. One of the best in the city. It was served with a small bowl of nicely seasoned soup and a spring roll. I look forward to returning especially for the chicken wings that looked amazing.

I just HAD to visit this spot since they made the list of Top Places to Eat in Indy according to Yelp. Aside from that, this is a restaurant I've been meaning to visit for ages but it's a bit of a drive for me. It was so worth it! I lived in Thailand for a year and a half and just got back two weeks ago from a visit to Thailand. I was definitely still craving Thai food once I got back and this was the absolute perfect restaurant to go to. Aside from the food being flavorful and delicious, the menu had items that are hard to find at Thai restaurants in the states but common in Thailand. I loved learning that it's a family owned business and many of the recipes are family recipes. Their lunch menu had items priced around $11 and they even included soup and a spring roll. In this day and age, this was such a good deal! The last thing to note, the service was fantastic. Our waitress was kind and down to earth. She made sure we had everything we needed and gave great recommendations. It's so cute inside too with a lot of natural light and a patio out front as well! I can't wait to come back again!

I am a very frequent visitor to Baan Thai Bistro and love taking people there for their first time, especially for lunch. It is a hidden gem for Thai food on the southeast side of Indy. We love the Thai fried chicken rice bowl, spring rolls and crab ragoon dip. I would have originally given it 5 stars for the quick and reliable service. However, the customer service just depends on what time you go and the staff that is present. Also, the food hasn't been that spicy (still good though) lately and the adult beverage options are limited. I do love the bistro-style ambiance and can't wait to dine on the patio once the weather breaks !

What an adorable find! This thai restaurant is in Wanamaker in Franklin Township and in a small, but cozy house. There is outdoor patio seating and parking behind the restaurant in a gravel lot. Fun decor and friendly staff, you'll find a variety of thai dishes on the menu. I ordered a Thai ice tea, which was refreshing and a nice portion size for the price. They also had boba drinks on the menu. My main dish was peanut sauce noodles. Rice noodles, bean sprouts and ground chicken for my protein. I asked for medium spice and did not find it spicy at all, so I added chili oil at home to give it more of a kick. Very enjoyable and would love to go back to try other dishes on the menu!

Amazing !! Must try! Everything was delicious! Perfect taste, temperature, and spices ! We ordered 9 appetizers for our group. Crab Rangoon dip x2 ! Must try ! I am not a fan of regular crab Rangoon, but the dip is my favorite!! The pork satay was perfect temperature and I loved dipping it in the peanut butter sauce. Yum! I recommend ordering the green curry, I was debating between the curry or the pad Seuw. I tried something different out of my comfort zone with the Pad Seuw, it was good, but I tried my friends curry and I would definitely get that next time instead!! I have always been a fan of massaman curry, Our waitress was very attentive, friendly, and very helpful answering our questions about the menu. Negative / only 1 bathroom. Restaurant is tiny and hard to move around without bumping into people. Tight squeeze for larger groups. We had a group of 8 and it was hard to place appetizers on our tables and share: we needed more room. Outdoor seating is available. Super cute deck. Parking available on backside of restaurant. Thank you for such a great experience!

In Wanamaker in a old house that has been renovated. Saturday mornings are 9-2 all you can eat brunch/ breakfast. Really good food , nice people. They bring you a tray of multiple dishes. Everything was very flavorful! They also offer al a cart, too. Very nice!iu

I have not had Thai food this great in a long time - maybe ever? The food here looks beautiful and tastes even better. You can tell that they really care about the dining experience you have and are rightfully proud of the food they serve. Lots of spicy curries for those that love the heat!
