Avon Farmers Market

Who doesn't love a farmers market? You can get fresh produce, fresh flowers, honey from the farm all the way to dog treats.Every booth is very friendly. Produce is reasonably priced. There's even a booth that has freeze dried goodies. It's outdoors, so be prepared for heat or rain. But the vendors are there to help you get what you're looking for. Don't forget to follow them on Facebook and you can see all the vendors that will be there -every Tuesday 4 PM to 7 PM .

As a night shift worker, I was SO happy to find out about the Avon Farmers Market as it operates in the evening! It's hard for me to get up in time for the early morning farmers markets, so Tuesdays 4-7 is much more achievable for me. This is a bigger market than many in the area and has a ton of parking. There are several booths featuring fresh, seasonal fruits and veggies as well as meat, breads, pastries, salsa, candles, and honey. If you are trying to eat healthy and buy local, this is the place! Prices are fair and there is a great selection. Most people were doing a good job of social distancing and wearing a mask!Another perk of the evening market is it's the perfect time to get some dinner from RidiQlous BBQ! We got rib tips and mac n cheese for $12 and it was delicious. It is so cool to get meat right out of the smoker and everyone working the booth was incredibly nice. I might go back just to try their bbq again!

Don't come here if you're looking to buy a farmer. There are none for sale. The title is very misleading. They do, however have some fun little shops. Homemade popcorn, soaps, and fresh produce. It's smaller than many farmers markets around Indy, but it's full of personality. But still...no farmers for sale. Womp womp

Such a great little farmer's market! I came here with my daughter and found a lot of great things! They have many things from the farm including vegetables and fruits. You'll also find home baked items such as bread, Carmel corn, and other sweets. Home grown flower arrangements, to include beautiful sunflowers, can also be found here. If you're looking for homemade soap or candles, maybe canned jelly, this is your spot too! It's small enough to get around in a short time, yet large enough to find the things you want and need. Oh, we also picked up some delicious canned bloody marry mix! You never know what you'll find!

Interesting that reviews are very old. Which means; do not bother. I started going last year, and went last week to get bread and tomatoes. The tomatoes were excellent and I was looking forward to having that same quality today. BUT. Got there 20 minutes before 4, and that is a BIG no-no, by the green shirts. He treated the vendors like crap (they were already set up), and actually chastised one vendor for selling me fresh pork rinds. I will NEVER go back, and turned back others to were arriving in order to also buy farmers ware. I came from Indy and just did not check my arrival time, so I apologize to the green shirts for being so inconsiderate of vendors who were just showing up. Wish I had gotten a card of the vendors I like so I can contact them. I am sure that they pay for their space, and that Avon is making something, besides a bad name, from this. Again. Do not take your time. Too bad. But, the rulers are ruining the process. Not about good will. Yes. I am still angry, but have found another market closer by. But, wanted to help out these individuals who are just trying to be in a fair market. Avon, you should be ashamed, and those 2 green shirt men, who were so nasty, should be given jobs at the jail!!

It's a great farmers market I just wish there was a little more diversity in foods I'd like to see a lot mor produce than tomatoes and asparagus
