I lived next to one of the team mangers for a year. She was elderly, white greyish hair and she just had a terrible attitude. First week of moving in and she put nasty note on our door about our dog was barking or just making a little noise. One of them saying 'do better'. She was never upfront, he's a puppy. Also she said something to us the night on the eclipse about our dog again, ruined our day. Just do not talk to her she really doesn't care about anyone but herself and her cat. When i find a picture of the note i will post it.Overall it was a 5/10 experience because of that.Rona (another team manager) was great in all honesty, she reminds you of that teacher in school that won't let you fail. Very passionate and caring with her service, I will recommend talking to her about your choosing to live here.

This complex is actually so egregiously disgusting that I can hardly believe it's available to the public. Not only do they leave the house in near disarray when you first move in yet make the process overly complicated, they do not come out to fix what they claim they will. From overflowing tubs with clogged pipes, badly chipped paint and blinds that won't even open, to doors that don't close and banisters missing from staircases, they completely overlook every tenant who resides here. I could only compare living here to that of a toilet bowl, since we're constantly treated like

I put in a request to have a missing window screen replaced. Kenny in Maintenance came out within just a few days, rescreened the frame, and completed the work. I have never had a problem with maintenance completing my requests in a professional and timely manner.

Apparently this is a new avery point page. I do know the reason I created a Yelp account was so I could give these people a bad review.Terrible to deal with in every way, many of the ladies in the office were very rude. Very bad to deal with it. Didnt make maintenance issues easy or smooth. We were never a day late on rent or caused any problems and Avery Point made it tough to stay there and tough to leave (check your lease, ours wanted if I recall 3 months notice to vacate in writing.) We were Great renters but now own a home in another state. Many many better options in Indy. Stay away from this place.

Overall I have had a good experience. I love how quiet it is where my apartment is located. I enjoy the pool and the gym is so so. Maintenance has addressed most of my concerns in a timely manner. The have increased the rates every year so if that continues I will move. The parking is decent. I wish there was a recycling option. The apartment is decently spacious, I have a washer and dryer, dishwasher and walk-in closet!

I moved here from a totally different city, so was pretty nervous to just tour random apartments. Up until I came to Avery Point the process was overwhelming. After touring their different layouts I decided to go with AP apartments. My apartment was clean and ready to go on my move in date. I feel very safe here, the staff has always been friendly, and the maintenance usually comes to fix stuff the same day I file a request. I have nothing negative to say

DO NOT MOVE HERE. The management team is awful, the experience living here is awful. In two years here because its "affordable" while we saved for a house we experienced the following: * Several incidents requiring police presence * A massive shooting that shut down part of our complex for IMPD to survey the scene * Our apartment was broken into - the staff was completely unhelpful and the leasing office was negative with us about calling to inquire about relocating * Several issues with them believing our rent had not been paid, to come knock on our door only to admit they were at the wrong apt And at the end of it all, not giving clarity on how a lease break at the complex works. We bought a house, we were very clear in asking exactly what was owed and they could not have been more misleading about what we could expect to pay. As renters who genuinely wanted to end on a good note and pay all of our expense. I used to work in hospitality so I know it would be easy to read that last part and assume that we're just mad because we were "broke" and couldn't pay, but let me be clear. We're fine, but not everyone has an extra 1k plus hanging out in their account because the management office didn't do their job on the front end in communicating fees. It would be devastating to some to find out randomly they owe that kind of money because of a pretend clause in their lease break system. Something that isn't documented anywhere a resident could find it and certainly not on the document signed by the manager in the office when we turned in the form. I've lived in some pretty rough neighborhoods in Indy but this one takes the cake. If you can avoid it and don't find me to be "crazy" after reading this, I would recommend anywhere else if you can afford to.

I GIVE THEM "ZERO" STARS .I Applied 2/26 for a move in date of 3/1. Wendy Casler the "community manager" helped me through the process and even convinced me to move in 2/29 to be able to get the $500 off special. She ran my credit while I was there and said I was preapproved based off of credit as long as the income came back correct. I called 2/27 just to make sure that my employment verification letter and pay stubs were received via email. And was told Dasha was going over income and would call back shortly. I never received a call and with a move in date so soon I decided to follow up 2/28 to see if there were any problems. I was told by Wendy that she called the company and was told I was not an employee by Linda in HR. I called the manager of the company I work for to clear it up because it had to be a mistake. The manager called the CEO of the company and asked him if he had hired someone new by the name of Linda that would say I wasn't an employee he said NO! The only person who anyone should be calling is his assistant for verification. Which is the number I put in the application and name of the manager. So why would I have to call the CEO because of a lie that Wendy clearly made up is beyond me. Do you call the CEO of Walmart to verify who works there NO you don't! So she put on the denial email that It was due to credit which was a lie also. I was only a potential tenant and she lied so what type of lies do she actually tell to the residents there.

If I could give this complex 0 stars, I would. First, "renovated" to them means having water heaters and furnaces older than the majority of tenants. It took me a YEAR into my lease for maintenance to show up and fix my issues, from plumbing problems to faulty wiring (literally the light over the sink had loose wires, and the dining room fixture would flicker anytime you walk past it). It took until maybe 3 months before I moved out for them to replace my patio screen door. Washer and dryer that would eat my linens. Floors were caked with caulk and paint when I first moved in. Pipes that sound like howler monkeys on cocaine. And inner outlets tied to outside outlets that their contractors would use to do work on the outside of the building, running up electric bills and triggering fuse switchesThe revolving door of property managers, who are 99% of the time left in the dark about what corporate was planning to do. Don't be fooled by the "new management" label, IRT was purchased by Steadfast Living to "appear" more local than having landlords on the West Coast. Valet trash that will loudly show up at 3 AM to collect garbage and still leave bags in the cans. Contractors show up to work on the roof at 7 am on a Saturday with no prior notice from the property management company (one of the things the higher-ups did without supposedly telling the property manager). Charging people from normal wear and tear, claiming to want things in "brand new" condition, when the apartments were not leased out in "brand new" condition. Did I mention the $150 rent hike on everyone, with an addendum of "you will also be charged a one-time 'beautification' fee" of another $150? The only property in the area wanting to charge what everyone else is, but doesn't have new appliances, granite countertops, or anything remotely worth the $1000 they now want to charge for their "renovated" units. I understand that with COVID, things have been difficult for a lot of people, however, for a CORPORATION to be doing everything in their power to extort every red cent out of hard-working underpaid tenants for apartments that have nothing to justify the costs? I can't even blame the leasing office for this - Tim and Wendy are kind reasonable people who are unfortunately being strongarmed (according to them) by their greedy corporate overlords. I say move here if you want to pay $1k+ for flickering electricity, slow internet, and an old-ass building that is most likely not up to code (they only recently remedied their improper venting situation for the dryers - at least one apartment on my block had a dryer fire during my time living there). I don't vouch for any of the corporate landlords locally (they all have issues), but at least they're updated to 2022 standards, and not 1980s updated. [NOTE: I moved into this hellhole out of last-minute necessity to get out of an unsafe living arrangement; It's the reason that I moved after 2 years.] OH YEAH: They charge every tenant for professional carpet cleaning. That is routine cleaning that they are actually responsible for, but they're throwing it on their tenants as an excuse to withhold the deposits. I am currently pursuing a complaint against them with the AG and I suggest other people who have had issues do the same.

NEVER rent from this place! We were so excited to find a 1200 sq ft townhouse for only $830/mo but we quickly learned why the place is so cheap. With our first issue, I was not very upset because I realize mistakes happen. We waited over a month to have our banister put up in our stairwell after we moved in, and upon moving in, we noticed that neither of our bathrooms had been cleaned and one of the showers literally smelled like someone had died in it. Next, I was told by a leasing consultant, Amy, that our utility fees would be a flat $52/mo and that we did not pay those fees to Avery Point, but to a different company. However, after paying rent for the first time, I was told that my payment was "late" because I did not include the utility fees. I was then told to "check my email for the billing statement" which I didn't even receive until a week after the bill was due.Since then, we have noticed that our windows do not lock. Two of the burners on our stove also stopped working and have not yet been replaced, despite multiple maintenance requests. Our front door no longer locks because the screws are stripped, which I was told almost a week ago that it would be fixed the next day. A few weeks ago I noticed water bubbling up through our entire first floor and have put in 3 different requests. The manager, John, told me he would have someone fix the issue this week on Tuesday or Wednesday. I came home from work on Wednesday to find that the issue was not fixed, so I called the office and spoke with Tim, who promised to return my call "in a few minutes". It's now Thursday and I'm sitting here with zero security on my windows or doors, a wet first floor that has ruined everything in my living room, and a stove that doesn't work. Welcome to Avery Point where "you get what you pay for" turns into "you wait for a long time and then pay for whatever we promise but refuse to fix!"This is the third apartment complex I have rented from, and also the WORST. Don't rent from here unless you want to feel unsafe and have all of your belongings ruined!
