I participated in the local shopping event called Fall In Love with the Near East Side and every local business offered something a little bit different. I had never been to Audrey's place before so I was excited to pop in and check it out and also grab my free gift.I didn't realize that Audrey's place has two separate locations that are four doors down from one another. I started at their new furniture location. I walked through and saw hundreds of furniture items, lamps & rugs at very reasonable price points. All appeared new and clean. This would be a great place to furnish a Kids room or a new apartment. Hot tip: There is a clearance section at the back right. As I was heading out the person who warmly welcomed me when I arrived let me know that there is another Audrey's place four doors down full of vintage and antique items. That was more my jam! I walked down for her to the left, just as he promised and found one of the largest local antique stores in the area! I typically go straight for the costume jewelry, and their selection was very light. However, I did enjoy walking around and seeing tons of vintage stained glass pieces, furniture, items, memorabilia, etc.

I saw a small hummingbird table listed on their Instagram and had to go in to see if they still had it. They did and it went home with me. I did take a few minutes to look around and I will definitely need to return. I love thrift stores. The owners were friendly and the service was great. Be sure to check out their Instagram and Facebook for the daily deals!

Audrey's Place is actually two places: one modern furniture store, and one antique store next door. I visited the modern store thinking that this was the entirety of Audrey's Place, but the friendly man who worked there informed me that their antique stuff was located just down the street. Good to know! Because I wasn't there for new stuff -- I wanted old stuff. The antique store has lots of old stuff: vinyl records, vintage furniture, Indy 500 memorabilia, mirrors, dishes and glasses, silverware, tools, toys, posters, lamps, Christmas ornaments, typewriters, books and lots of other things. This is the kind of place where you want to set aside at least an hour to wander around. Everything is kind of everywhere, like it is in every good antique store. The people who work at the antique store are very friendly and greeted me when I came in and said goodbye when I left. I tend to not care about cursory greetings like this, but I know others care about these niceties, so I'll mention it. Parking is in the back of the store, and is a bit limited. But it looks like there is street parking nearby, too, so you should be fine.

We have a wealth of great antique stores in Indianapolis -- more than most people know about. Audrey's Place stands apart in a number of ways. First, it's extremely well-organized. While many antique stores are more like flea markets with a series of booths, this one seems uniformly curated and the people working clearly know where everything is. Second, the selection is excellent. It's not overwhelmingly vast, but also enough breadth that if you come back twice in a week, you'll see something you didn't see the first time. But the most important standout is the service. You get a ton of help with anything you need, from simple things like loading and assembly to more complex things like care and DIY opportunities for pieces in the store. There's a ton of enthusiasm and the right amount of engagement to make anything accessible. This is one of my favorite places to browse and buy from and holds up against any antique store in the state.

I might be biased because I live in Irvington, but this is hands down my FAVORITE place to go antiquing. Audrey's is always a fun thrifting weekend for my spouse and me. The place is packed from room to room with everything you might be looking for. We are always on the lookout for old glass Pyrex sets and this place never lets us down. We have bought several from here. The true highlight of this gem has to be the neon lights and window displays. They always have their most interesting pieces in the windows from taxidermy animals to fine china. I have picked up several old yearbooks from here too. It sounds weird because it is... but I love having them as coffee table books. Nothing like an Indiana State University class of 1942 yearbook as a conversation starter when we are hosting parties. Definitely check this place out next time you are looking for something unique!CHEERS!

Driving by we thought "hey let's stop for a few minutes " not knowing we could spend hours in here! Room after room of very organized and well displayed antiques and thrift items. The store was very clean, staff very helpful. Turns out Audrey was the owner 40 years ago and now her son runs the store. Very fun way to spend an afternoon.

I'm not super into thrifting but Audrey's is so fun. There's literally something for everybody and the store is full of surprises. The book section is AMAZING. I found a guide to French wines that would look super cute on a coffee table. Additionally there are great seasonal pieces and vintage finds that made me smile. GO TO AUDREY'S!

I stopped by here the other day and had a particular item I was looking for that I did not find. I never pass up the opportunity though to shop in an antique store, furniture store, and thrift store. They had a variety of items and a lot of rooms to look through. They had lots of smalls like dishware, utensils, and tchotchkes. They had salvaged items from old houses like door knobs, Korbels, and gingerbread. The first room as you entered had a lot of LPs and singles. There were books and clothes and also a lot of unique items. They also had a large pieces of furniture. So what I did not like about the place was the prices, I go in these places all of the time and all of these prices seem too high to me. This would not stop me from going in again and taking another look because you never know when you'll find that one-of-a-kind thing you're looking for.

What a blast!Boy oh boy do I love me some old shit or what? I have been meaning to visit this place for years. Literally years and it's only two miles from my house. You were right, Yelpers. Audrey's Place is a treasure chest filled with antique furniture, restoration hardware like door knobs, fire place mantels, door hinges and iron vents. I could have easily lost myself in Audrey's Place (vintage side) for more than an hour. You'll find old doors, sinks, desks, mummy caskets, friendly staffs and decent prices. Not to mention the stellar Yelp check-in deal! These prices are closer to what you'll find in rural Indiana antique shops (hallelujah).Located on the near east side, Audrey's is conveniently across the street from Tim and Julie's Another Fine Mess which pairs beautifully with a visit to Audrey's Place if you're on the hunt for old stuff. A mile down the street and you're at Midland Arts & Antiques as well as Society of Salvage.

Even though I have driven by this place numerous times, it took a Small Business Saturday event for me to make time to drive here. So glad I did!If you are looking for antiques, and I mean just about any kind, it is worth stopping by here. They have convenient parking in a small lot at the back of the store. Inside, there are numerous rooms and nooks that are filled with so many different antiques that you may never be sure you've seen them all. There are collectibles like vinyl, license plates, toys, kitchen ware. There are numerous pieces of unique furniture and architectural enhancements. They have an outdoor section (somewhat limited) for yard items. And you never know what you will find next. Maybe you are looking for a barnyard animal character to add some whimsy. Maybe you are a wannabe big game hunter and want some stuffed trophies (there is a full sized crocodile hanging on one wall!) Or maybe you want to find some items that you remember seeing as a kid, but had no idea where to find them. Stop in here. You just might be lucky!I can't say how their prices compare to other places, but so much is unique, I don't know how I would be able to.And if you are refinishing an older home and need some architectural items to finish the restoration, you should definitely explore here. I can't say the pieces are ready to use, but if you know how to restore a piece, you can probably find what you are looking for here.Friendly staff who were willing to let us browse without being hurried or pushed towards a purchase.Check it out!Review #3365
