Interested in supporting local artists, giving back, and purchase beautiful art? Art mix is the perfect place for this! I went for the second year to their holiday open house to do my yearly ornament shopping for family and friends. There are beautiful, one-of-a-kind ornaments, plates, bowls, and other ceramic pieces. All of the pieces are carefully made by the artists, fired on-site, and then made available in their gallery. I have been thrilled by the items I've purchased and the recipients love them!

I went here for a Free First Friday event. They provided cookies, lemon water, and a free art project to create. This month was water colors. I loved seeing all the art that people in the community make. Some of the pieces were for sale for very fair prices. I also loved watching and listening to the man playing the guitar and keyboard. While attending the event, I learned about the inclusive art classes (for people with and without disabilities). The classes are Mondays 4PM-5:30PM and the price of the class are on a sliding scale based on household income. This price ranges from $20-$125 for 8 classes which is a decent deal regardless of where you lie since this gives you access to all kinds of supplies (even a kiln!) and great art teachers.
