Delicious Indian food. The butter chicken, korma and saag paneer are standouts imo. Garlic naan too. Get plenty of the mint and tamarind sauces too.

This our second visit to Aroma Indian Cuisine since June 2024 when we moved to Indianapolis. Its always good to see that many indian restaurants are now serving authentic indian dishes. However our second visit to this restaurant was disappointing. Ambience was nice, the service was nice but the food was nowhere near perfect.tandoori chicken - This was the only good part (4 out of 5)Garlic Naan - Decent (3.5 out of 5)Chicken Korma - Needs improvement (2 out of 5)Chicken Do Piayza - Needs Improvement (2 out of 5)The chicken dishes had their base gravy not up to mark and the cook had tried making it spicy, adding tomato paste to make it look different but both the curry and chicken pieces inside them tasted way different than how they should taste. May be as its crowded by a lot of american folks so the chef cooks to their tase. This shouldn't be the case.

Completely understaffed in front of the house. One poor soul of a waiter/host/bartender trying to fill all 3 roles for the entire restaurant .... and this during Devour. I felt so bad for him as he was trying to keep up, which was impossible. Not that anyone from the kitchen staff could have helped him seat people and at least get them some water. So we saw a many tables walk out. We were trying to pay, which of course given the circumstances, took forever. Don't get me wrong, the food is awesome and the Devour menu was a great deal. I loved loved loved the Mango shrimp we shared. So dang good. The garlic naan was perfect, soft with some crisp spots. Simply yummy. And there was a little frozen dessert. No idea what it was, but loved it. The restaurant itself is very cute also. Nice ambiance. Parking available in front and a in gravel lot across the street.

I enjoyed this Indian Bar. It has a nice, clean, fun and comfortable atmosphere. My wife and I shared the Samosa, my wife ordered Aloo Goni Adraki and I ordered Navratan Korma. Everything was really good - including the service. Good place and we will be back.

There may be multiple locations of Aroma in Indy, but this one is my #1. My introverted self loves how quiet this location is. The dark decor on a bright sunny day made the ambiance romantic and inviting. We ordered paneer and samosas as appetizers. I ordered Handi chicken and my partner ordered Biryani rice and chicken. In college, one of my friends' parents from India cooked a meal for a small group of us. This food was just like that: spicy, rich, and filled with all the flavors of India! My heart is full. So is my stomach. (We had to get a to go container. lol)

Food was absolutely delicious! We got the Tandoori Chicken and Paneer bites appetizers. For the main, my husband got Goat Curry and I got Chicken Tikka Masala. They were even able to make me a special version without cream! The garlic naan was delicious also. They were very busy for a Thursday night but always kind and helpful. Would highly recommend a stop here!

Came in for a Sunday night dinner with my husband. We were quickly seated at a (very wobbly) table. The restaurant itself was modernly decorated and felt clean. We began the meal with the Samosas. These were very good, and we enjoyed the two sauce pairings. For my entree, I had the butter chicken and garlic naan. The serving size of naan was huge. I thought the butter chicken was great, and enjoyed the goat cheese added to the top. I order it mild, which is more of a sweet, tomatoey flavor. Overall this was more than enough food for the cost. I had half to take home for leftovers! My only complaint would be that the service was lacking a little. The food took longer than usual, which was okay since we had no where else to be, but sometime to keep in mind if going to an event afterwards. Overall, I recommend. This is some of the best Indian food in the Indianapolis area!

Popped in this evening before attending a show at Butler. We were greeted and sat quickly. The place was updated on the inside, and felt clean. We started off with samosas for an app. They were fried perfectly, and the chutney was a great addition. I don't know if the salad on the plate was for looks or not, but it we tried it- it was okay- dressing was pretty bland (but again, think it was mainly for looks so no problems there).I had the Do Pyaza (#14) for my entree, along with garlic naan. The sauce was flavorful- the onion wasn't too overpowering. Overall great and would get it again. The garlic naan was crispy, which was great. The only problem I had with the experience was seeing people through the kitchen window eating- feels like a health violation to me. Overall, would return, but just wished I didn't see people eating where my food was being prepared.

We met up with a friend coming in from out of town, whose only request was to eat somewhere that had beer. With my fiancee's celiac disease, we found this place that satisfied her dietary needs, his beverage needs, and my desire to try something new. We met at the Aroma in SoBro (they have other locations in Fountain Square and Carmel) and parking was very easy in front of the restaurant. We met for dinner on Wednesday, while the farmer's market was going on across from the restaurant. The surface lot there would be reasonable for parking on other days if street parking was not easily available. The menu is very laid out with disclosures regarding vegetarian/vegan and gluten-free items. We were aggressive in our ordering due to the number of options available and they were all delicious. I had the garlic naan (not gluten-free) which was doughy yet crisp, and tasty although a little lacking in the garlic flavor for my tastes. We also had the gluten-free bread, which was sort of a dense gluten-free flatbread. I only had a bite but it was a little dough and tasteless. That would be the only item I would not recommend and would have just had the items with rice.Overall it was a terrific experience with great service, a comfortable atmosphere for catching up, and a great array of food options. We will be excited to come back!

Last night we had an amazing meal. The butter chicken has so much flavor. So rich and with the garlic naan it was delicious. We ordered in, but when we've gone in, the place is beautiful and the service is top notch.
