I have been on the lookout for a consistent and creative Indian restaurant near Zionsville as Indian food is one of my favorite cuisines. Aroma is an absolute gem of a restaurant that's tucked away near the Carmel city center. The ambiance inside is modern and sleek however I do think that it does look a bit barren and could have more decorations. We came on a very slow lunch day so all the attention and service was on us which was nice. Now for the food...I'm a huge fan of lamb curries or anything with tender and flavorful meat but the star of the show was the vegetarian paneer dish which had the most flavorful and rich sauce simmered with cubes of tender paneer cubes. The Champaran Lamb Curry was also to die for as the spices, fried shallots, and saffron take the dish to a new level. The Madras Fish Curry (Salmon) was wonderful as well and had a wonderful presentation. Lastly, the rosemary garlic naan combined with the curries was the finishing touch. I've never seen an Indian restaurant go beyond butter garlic naan however Aroma has a Classic and Aroma series which has amazing options for their Naan and even Rice! If you're looking at reviews of this place and debating on whether to go or not don't think about it Trust me JUST GO!

This is an Indian fine dine restaurant that not only has a great ambience but also satisfies your taste buds. We were visiting Carmel and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant is very well decorated and has a modern look. The server was a little confused and seemed lost but got our order right. They have a big menu and some unique appetisers. We ordered jackfruit galauti kebabs and kale chaat for appetisers. I highly recommend the kebabs, the kale chaat was ok. For the drinks, we wanted to order some Indian beers but they were out of most of the options. For the main course, we ordered paneer rara which was great. We also ordered veg jalfrezi which can easily be skipped. The chilli garlic naan was soft and full of flavour. Everything was a little expensive but the portion sizes are good.Overall, I would recommend to visit this place if you are around.

Unaccustomed to dining on Indian cuisine, this was my first time at Aroma but second time at this type of ethnic food experience. I delighted in the rich Delhi butter chicken and was pleased to know I could choose my spice level. The ambiance was a simple elegance, not overly decorated to deduct from the upscale feel. From the dining dishes to the lighting to the comfortable seats, the attention to detail worked beautifully. I also appreciated that the restaurant was not overwhelmed with bar space and not cluttered with liquor bottles; this could've attracted a loud party crowd, which takes away from the elegance.Adjacent to the Veterans Way garage, parking is complimentary and walking is reasonable even while wearing heeled boots.I had noticed another reviewer mentioned the slow service, and it was. The restaurant wasn't busy on this Saturday evening (November 9, 2024), yet I only saw one server the entire time. He laid eyes on our table twice. The second time, he was making his way to our table, paused and stared, and then turned back around. Eventually, I had mentioned to the host about our long wait without being given something to drink. I hope Aroma Experience will swiftly address the need for more prompt, attentive service.

Had lunch at Aroma Experience for the first time. It came highly recommended so we thought we would give it a try. We were not disappointed! There was a light crowd for lunch, which surprised me given the excellent Indian food. I strongly encourage others to give this new restaurant a try.For an appetizer we had the Shahi Kurkuri Bhindi. This is thinly sliced okra with light breading and seasoning. It is deep fried. It was $10 for plenty to share. We would definitely order it again. They have a lunch menu but we ordered from the regular dinner menu. My wife had the Punjav's Favorite Tikka Masala with chicken. It was $19 and is ranked as some of the best she said she has ever had. I enjoyed the Kashmiri Rogan Josh. You can order it with lamb, chicken, or bone-in goat. I chose the lamb. The serving was very generous and I thoroughly enjoyed it. It was $19 as well. We ordered the Rosemary Garlic Naan, for $5, to accompany the dishes and it did not disappoint. All dishes were served with rice.The decor is upscale modern. The servers were very attentive, pleasant. and knowledgeable about the menu. This is the best Indian food I have had in Carmel and ranks very high among any Indian restaurants I have experienced. I encourage others to give it a try ... even if you may have never tasted Indian food. You will find something on the menu and you will not be disappointed.

The new Aroma Experience is located in Carmel City Center and is decorated beautifully and kept very clean. The food and service, however, left us very disappointed. We arrived around 6pm on a Saturday. There were maybe 5 other tables filled. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our entrees and that was only after multiple follow ups with the servers. When the food arrived, it was so salty we could barely eat it. During the course of our wait, we were asked if another family could also sit at our table because they wanted to give away their table. The table next to us waited for 45 minutes without even a glance or a glass of water given to them. We had very high hopes for this restaurant as we've had very positive experiences at the sister property downtown, but we unfortunately will not be returning here.

Aroma Experience is exactly that, a delightful experience. I'll preface this review by saying, I have never had Indian food prior to Aroma. It's new to Carmel and with it being Devour, we decided to give it a try. I ordered the $19 four course paneer tikka meal. The appetizer was a Mango Lassi drink and Samosas. The mango lassi was delicious, it's similar to a mango smoothie but less thick. I savored it throughout the whole meal! Up next came the Samosa which is an empanada style pastry with peas and potatoes. Finally the main event of, Paneer Tikka Masala served with rice and naan. Hands down the best thing of the entire meal. This is the reason I will continue to come back. We ended with Malai Kulfi for dessert, which is a frozen Indian homemade ice cream with a type of sweetened condensed milk on it. It was a great way to end the meal. Overall, we were completely stuffed but absolutely blown away! We have already been back. This will remain in our rotation of restaurants!

Our favorite place in Indy for Indian food is Aroma! The rosemary garlic naan bread is delicious and the Tikka Masala Chicken is full of flavor. I love going to this spot due to the amount of meat and vegetarian options that they have. The location is great too since it is in the Carmel city center and parking is complimentary. If you are looking for cocktails they do have some on the menu, but I would say their food is really where it is at quality wise!

My family and I had an excellent meal at Aroma Experience, in Carmel, IN. We were greeted with a smile when we arrived. We had several appetizers and each one was delicious and fresh. The way that their menu is presented was extremely helpful with helping us pair our wine and type of naan to order with our entrees. The service was exceptional! We got the chingaari prawns to start. Delicious flavor, but incredibly overcooked. For main courses, we order the classic chicken tikki masala, and coconut curry salmon. Both were very delicious. The garlic naan is fresh and delicious. Overall go for the food. The service was a little weird. Hence the 4*.
