Archers Meat Packing

Can't go wrong, we'll packaged meat - on time , communication was great! Weight can be off a little at times.

I have normally purchased a live pig to prepare for our family Christmas get together. This year I discovered I could just buy a small pig already processed and packaged from Archer's. It was well worth the price. I'll be buying another soon.

Called for dry aged ribeyes, was told to come in. I picked up my steaks and went home and they infact were not dry aged! Just regular rib eyes.

A friend of mine took his deer here to get it butchered.DELICIOUS! He shared some of the chili he made out of the ground meat, and some of the deer salami (like a hard summer sausage). Yum. My friend said the ground deer meat made excellent burgers too. This particular deer was killed cleanly, and as humanely as possible, with a head shot, and wasn't too old or too big, so that had a lot to do with the quality of the meat. But the seasoning and construction of the salami/summer-sausage also showed that this processor knows their stuff.

Excellent quality meat from a family owned buisness. They process deer also. Chris knows his meat and the staff is awesome. Great prices fresh meat.

Outstanding Place! I totally recommend Archers Meat Packing. I was searching for a Lean Brisket In local supermarkets and could not find anything satisfactory and/or what I found was a small fatty Brisket at a very high price. I went to Archers Meat Packing, the customer service was excellent, they had a Beautiful, Large, Lean Brisket and it was a great price! I will be doing all of my meat purchases at Archers in the future. The quality of there meat is better then there competition and they are less expensive. Try Archers, you won't regret it!

No display meat counter - buy everything blind and long process to do so from office area with the tedious back and forth for each customer. Received order and EVERYTHING frozen, underweight and nothing fresh. Location being there for a while, this may have flew when no competition but with better butcher shop experiences nearby, no need to be loyal - shop around.-Edited up a star only because the product itself is good, considering.

There were three cows in the back standing in a foot of their own urine and excrement with blood all over the walls and the floor. The cows could not turn around. No food, No water. They actually had feces on them. The cows looked terrified which means when you consume them they will be filled with stress hormones. If you treat your animals like this then you more than likely do not slaughter in an ethical or hygienic way.

I have to be completely honest, I will never use archers again. Growing up , my father took every deer he got to archers. I've been in the military but now back in Indiana, I know archers. I took a doe on opening day and requested to keep the hide. when I came to pick it up, the guy brought out the meat in boxes and told me he didn't know anything about saving the hide. Ok, I wanted to try tanning, but not a huge deal. the following week, I took a buck and again requested the hide be saved and even had the lady at the desk write it on both pieces of my paperwork. Later that week, I come to pick it up and again, the guy tells me that they didn't save it, but could give me someone else's hide. ok, I chalk it up to, "maybe I'm not supposed to have a hide." I took the meat home and have really been disappointed. There are blood clots on and in the round steaks, there is hair in EVERY SINGLE PACKAGE, and there are bloody hand and finger prints as well as chunks of game meat stuck all over the packaging. If I find someone else that can do a bad job, but closer, I'll never go back. I'm really disappointed because 3 generations off my family have used archers in fishers and Greenwood.
