Accessing the venue is a tad complex. To enter, locate the building's entrance beneath the red canopy on the right-hand side. Proceed down the hallway, and just after passing the ramp, you'll find the door leading into the Antelope Club. Don't be puzzled by the keypad next to the door--it's for members who wish to enjoy a smoke in the lounge outside of regular hours. One of the highlights for us was the opportunity to enjoy a delicious lunch followed by a post-meal cigar in the lounge. The quality of the food impressed us, and the service was top-notch. While the humidor is on the smaller side, offering a somewhat limited cigar selection, the lounge itself is cozy and comfortable. Both the food and cigar prices are quite reasonable, earning the Antelope Club a solid 5 out of 5 stars for value.

This place is a private club that opens its doors to the public for lunch. I recommend stopping in!They have cheap food and drinks and the food is top quality! They also may have the best cup of chili around. They allow smoking and have a large lounge.

If I could have gave this place 6 stars, I would. This place is awesome. You have to be a member to enter, most of the time. There a a couple of hours during on week days, around lunch, that non-members can eat. This is a nice place to kick back and be low key or meet people. The staff there is top notch. Very friendly. Erin is awesome. I thought I was getting special treatment, but they are like that with everyone. They have a nice full bar, a dining area and a smoking room. Their food there is delicious and they have daily specials. When I was there it was Italian night. I got the chicken parm sandwich. I think Tuesdays is tacos or something. The food is reasonably priced. My only caution is that if cigar smoke bothers you, you may want to eat outside or go somewhere else. The dining area is right by the cigar room.Membership here is $200 annually and you get perks like full access to this club, free parking while in the club and access to events. I really love this place. It is a cool place to hang out. The staff, members and patrons are very welcoming and friendly. This is a historic place that happens to be a diamond in the rough. I hope that I have not let the cat out of the bag too much about this place. I want to keep it to myself.

I can't believe I've never reviewed the Antelope Club before!A unique mix of private club, restaurant, bar and cigar lounge, the Antelope Club was on our short list of hangouts before we moved from Indianapolis in 2019 and we still make it a stop every time we return.First off, the place is huge. You can always find just about whatever sort of atmosphere you're looking for in here. Want to sit at the bar? Do it! Want a patio with some people watching? Head upstairs and watch all the people turn the wrong way on Delaware. Want a table to sit at and enjoy some food? Plenty of that too!The staff here is amazing and always takes great care of their guests. Great bar and food prices as well. The food is solid and consistent. We've never had a bad meal here. For those cigar lovers, they have a humidor with a wide variety of cigars to choose from and everything you need to enjoy them. The Antelope Club is a private members' club. However, they do open their doors for lunch on weekdays. Stop in, give it a try and if you like it (you will), join up at the bar!

Naptown Bourbon club hosted an event here. I would visit again if invited as it is members only with a annual $200 fee, but the perks seem worth it. There is a full bar, cigar smoking and food. There is a non smoking area upstairs. I had one of the best Old Fashioned here. Nonmembers can come for lunch and as a guest. If you ever have the opportunity...Go!

Antelope Club is a great place to hangout and meet new people. The events they host are good and entertaining, and they go to all lengths to have guest participation in their events. If you are an annual member of the Antelope Club, you will get to enjoy its perks and events, as well as the other benefits of the membership, whatever that may be. The bar area is cozy and relaxing, and they have a cigar lounge area that is very relaxing as well. I honestly do not know what exactly Antelope Club stands for, but it is a similar club like the Rotary Club or the Optimist's Club. My good friend is on the board of directors at Antelope Club and he has introduced me to some wonderful people at this club, so I know this is a great place to be social and get to know some great people. It is a great venue to visit when you have a chance.

Though not a member, I love the Antelope Club. Though I visited as a guest of one of their more well-known members, the other members and staff were incredibly nice. Though I believe they are like that all the time. I would absolutely seek to become a member if I still lived in Indy.Yes, it's smokey. But the club is private, and the members choose to keep it that way. I respect that, so still five stars. In addition to the excellent service, the drinks are strong, and the food is incredibly delicious. The Antelope proved to be a perfect place to watch a Colts game. Now I'm a Bears fan, but it's just a fun environment. There is, of course, a perfect bar in the building. This time see my photos for a description because it's awesome. There is also a small living room and a large hall with several tables for dining or drinking. God bless the Antelope Club. The members, drinks, space, and food are all incredible.

Menu is pretty bare bones but the bones are solid. Locally sourced burger. And if you're a club member, some of the best alcohol prices around.I left my car in the parking lot across the street so I could attend a concert at the Murat. So hey, free parking if you're downtown! Can't beat that.

Even though Marion County still has a mask mandate and the Antelope Club has a MASKS MANDATORY sign on their door, I was greeted by the owner UNMASKED in a very small enclosed space.I told him I was there for outdoor dining. He sat me in a small INDOOR dining area where not a single person was wearing a mask. When one of the women at a table close to where he sat me began coughing I got up and left.If you enjoy a free side of Covid with your chicken wings, I highly recommend the Antelope Club.

Social clubs are making a big comeback. In a world that seems to reject the ways of yesteryear, it is odd to imagine people craving the social habits of their parents or grandparents. Or does it? With a generation of young adults who have been electronically socialized, bona fide social interactions are nearing rock bottom. Folks want a place where everyone knows their names; they want to see old friends while meeting new ones, and they still want to have a place to get a hearty meal. And...and, dammit, adults want to drink alcohol and smoke while doing it. In Indianapolis, that place exists, and it is thriving. Welcome to the Antelope Club. The Antelope Club has a long history in the city, with its first origins dating back to 1947. Being officially incorporated in 1956, the club moved into its current home in 1964. Managed and operated by Brad Klopfenstein, the club continues to make improvements in both facilities and offerings. When I asked Brad what he thought the public should know the Antelope Club, he gave me the "Oh, hell, where do I begin?" look. He quickly touted the friendly and welcoming nature of the club and its members (affectionately knows as "Lopers"), the wide variety of beers served, the "deep" whiskey selection, great food, and the cigar lounge. I agreed with him - all of those things are reasons why I am a member. It is not difficult to become a member of the Antelope Club. All you need is to have the signatures of two members-in-good-standing, been born at least 21 years ago, and pay a measly $150. Once you've met those requirements, and the board approves your application, congratulations, you're a Loper. We're not a group of elitists; we don't care about your gender, what color you are, what religion you practice (or don't), with whom you go to bed, or your political persuasion. Just be yourself - unless you're a jerk...then you might see the door. The Antelope Club is packed with amenities and activities. As aforementioned, the club has a great selection of everything alcoholic...and non-alcoholic. The food is fantastic, and Chef Vee prepares everything to absolute perfection. I think that his burgers, famous throughout the city, are second-to-none. He even prepares a special, foodie-approved dinner on Saturday nights. The prices on everything are unbelievably reasonable. The cigar lounge is my favorite aspect of the club. With a humidor packed with fine tobaccos, you'll never have to stock up. Plus, members are welcome to bring their own cigars (and pipes, in my case) to enjoy in the lounge, bar, or on the balcony. The club discourages smoking in the dining room and forbids it in the upstairs portion of the club. Accompanied minors are also allowed on the upper level. The club holds a charity gaming license, and it offers several weekly cash drawings, Yahtzee, and pull tabs. Excluding the latter, gaming is for members only. Even if you lose, your money still goes to a good cause! The Antelope Club is open to the public on weekdays from 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM for lunch. This gives the prospective member a perfect chance to get to know the place.Take a break from your electronic social life and head over to the Antelope Club. Once you're a Loper, you'll thank me. Pronk on!
