Been here about two years. Affordable place to live in Carmel with very friendly and prompt maintenance team and front desk staff. If you have younger kiddos I suggest to asking for 1st floor or you're going to get noise complaints. You can hear stomping easily. Coming from a momma with kiddos that def disrupt our neighbors lol but hey kids will be kids and you can only do so much. And if you want the most quietness all snag a third floor apartment to avoid getting upset at the noise and also more spacious look with vaulted ceilings. My only complaint is the price increases but they have updated a lot to make them a lot nicer so I can see the need.

I have 11 ft ceilings and because of that, the apartment complex offers to install lighting/ceiling fans. I purchased one for my living room and dropped it off 2 wks prior to my move in date. When I walked into my apartment for the first time, my ceiling fan was not there. It was in the master bedroom. I had a light out in my kitchen and due to covid, maintenance would only come out for emergencies. It was an electrical issue I could not fix.I had to wait 3 mos to get them to come out and repair. They said the ceiling fan they installed in the wrong room, would be too hard to move to the living room. I had to buy another one. Now I have 2 ceiling fans that I own. Numerous problems over the course of the next 3 yrs with maintenance entering my apartment while I was at work and I had a teenage daughter at home. I told the office several times that they need to call before entering. This past June I was forced to move because they are renovating the entire complex. Everyone has to move when their lease is up is what I was told. I was unable to move then so I asked if they would work with me and allow me to move early and since no moving expenses were being compensated for, I asked if I could continue to pay my current rate for 3 mos, move to a new unit, and then pay the increase starting in September. That equaled about $780. They wouldn't budge on anything. I moved and paid all my moving expenses in June. I asked about the 2 ceiling fans 2 mos prior to moving. They told me that they would install them in the new unit. I called, left voicemails and spoke to a couple of people and asked when the ceiling fans would be installed. No one could give me an answer.I walked into the old unit one day and the ceiling fans were gone. It took another two weeks of calling before I was told they couldn't locate them and I would need to buy new ones. Also, one of them could not be installed in the den, as I was told. They wanted me to file a claim on my renters insurance. I refused. They filed it with their insurance. I bought new fans and sent the claim in and was reimbursed. I assembled the fan and told them it was ready for installation. I called, filled out on line maintenance requests and walked into the office to get the fan installed. Maintenance came out a couple times. The first time, they started to install it, hence the wires that are still hanging from my ceiling, they said they needed a different tool and would be back the following morning. They never came back. Once again, several calls and online maintenance requests and visits to the office and finally maintenance came out only to tell me it is too complicated to install. I assembled most of it. I watched the installation video on amazon and it is not complicated. I offered to send it to them. They refused. I can't return it.More calls, visits, online requests and I finally reach someone in the office.I told her I felt like they should make this right. They have always offered to install in the high ceilings. Don't offer if you aren't going to do it. I would've rather known that and hired a handy man to begin with. I told her the least they could so was either hire someone to install it OR buy a new fan that their maintenance employees are capable of installing. , Ashley, understood and said I called on a great day because they can't make those decisions but their regional manager can and that person was in the office! She said she would call me back. Before we hung up I said, "Ashley, just so you know, no one typically calls me back. I've been dealing with this since June and it is November." She assured me she would call. I called at the end of the day, the following day and Ashley answered. She said that a request had been submitted to their management office. Here I am, almost a month later and haven't heard anything. I am exhausted. I pushed the ceiling fan off to the side. I can't understand why it's not a simple fix. The common areas look horrible. It's embarrassing to have people over. I emailed the property manager, Melissa, and asked her for clarification on the early lease termination. I told her I wasn't happy and I don't want to live here anymore. I actually got a response! She asked me if there was a concern they could address. I couldn't believe it. Every time I call, send an email, go into the office, I have to tell this story again. I shorten it because I am tired. I am a very calm, nice person and I think that's why people are not usually going out of their way to take care of me. I've never written a review before and I didn't want to but it needed to be done. I've given them numerous opportunities to fix easy problems. The money they've cost me with the fans, moving when I didn't want to, waiting around for them to show up and literally hours spent calling, going into the office, emailing and filling out maintenance requests is crazy. It doesn't pay to be nice. I hope I have helped someone make a better decision than I made by living here

Avoid it here! I almost never leave reviews, let alone negative ones, but felt my need to here. My 14 week old puppy has been attacked on property unprovoked, I've witnessed a dog attack, And my dog got worms from dog park feces: (see attached image) additionally, dog feces are everywhere on property, It leads to a horrible environment. Apartments are out of date, in desperate need of a renovation, hallways stink, and every neighbor isn't friendly. We have had to call the police on multiple occasions for separate instances regarding abuse and domestic issues above and near our apt. We did not feel safe here. Apartment had almost weekly significant repairs from a leaky ceiling flooding bathroom (see image) the washer and garbage disposal leaked flooding our kitchen and caused damage to my personal property. When we left 3 months later, we still had holes in our ceiling and a smell of mold from their lack of repairs, even when I called multiple times to get it fixed. Ultimately, we broke our lease almost a year early after 5 months into a 15 month lease and paid a significant transfer fee. Though the leasing office and employees are great, that's about all I enjoyed with the Alexandria. Overview: don't save a few bucks, move to the Avant, their updated community, like we did. Or to another apartment in the area that is a ~hundred more a month. Well worth it and have had a wonderful experience there with a great community and amazing apartments.

There are a lot of issues with management and communication. The actual apartments are pretty worn down and older inside. Edward Rose would be smart to renovate a bit with all of the competition so close around. The price is on the lower side for Carmel but still obnoxiously high for the quality of the apartments. I'm in a two bed two bath first floor and I can hear every single noise. I can hear people's conversations and my main door rattled every time someone enters or exits the building. I understand apartment life is apartment life but with many many management issues and the low quality of the actual apartment, I will be moving once my lease is up. The area is extremely safe! Great location right off of 31 and with lots of restaurants coming in nearby.

OK apartment for just living here for 3 months. Nice from the outside, but the inside needs major updating and work, when compared to similar apartments in the area. Carpet had tons of gross stains, cabinets and appliances showed wear and tear more than expected for price. Management was very unorganized, and staff kept changing (mind you-we only lived here 3 months). Packages went missing, and staff never knew where they were, which was incredibly frustrating. The leasing process was chaotic, and my husband had to call several times to get the ball rolling for us. Pool was a nice feature in the summer, and we liked the proximity to stores, coffee, etc. Short ~1 mile-ish run/walk to monon trail, which is a perk. We are moving back to Carmel this summer, and we won't be living here again. Also no elevator for moving in/out or those with handicap needs.

After having a tour I decided to apply. After being approved later that day I had a change of heart and cancelled my applicatio, the following day the $200 holding fee was taken out of my account. I called to point this out and was told its non refundable even though I cancelled before it was taken.Afrer posting a negative review in Google I was contacted by Melissa, an associate manager who explains there had been an error and I would get a refund. We are now a week and a half later, no refund, I email to be told the manager is out that day and I'll be contacted to say when they will be sending it. No contact... I wouldn't trust these people, they don't stick to their word or own contract and are very difficult to get through to when there is an issue. It shouldn't take 10 plus days to get an idea of when I'll receive my money back. Only contact is when they see negative reviews. Terrible experience and customer service.

I lived there for 2 years and towards the end I could not wait for my lease to end. Everything looks polished and nice from the outside but just under the surface is where the true nature of the company lies. Shotty work on the remodels and a whole bunch of cut corners. Things will break and have a bandaid put on them because the company doesn't want to cut into their bottom line. I will say that I always had a great experience with the Maintenance team, but their hands were always tied by management because of that culture of cutting corners and saving money everywhere they could. I would look elsewhere in Carmel with all the new complexes being constructed, maybe you will find a place with more integrity.

It's homey ! Walls are beige. Good location but old utensils and DEFINITELY overpriced ! Our electric bill was 200 even tho we don't have light in the living rooms or bed rooms ! Water comes with white minerals in it but that's Carmel water . But free parking is awesome ! Ohh but they have no stairs so moving things in is a hassle ! Also my grandma hates coming over due to the stairs ! Overall it's cute and good location just OVERLY PRICEDDDDD.
