Stopped in for a healthier alternative to all the junk food at the exit. Service was excellent, food was delicious and the prices very reasonable. I highly recommend.

I love everything about this place except for one thing -- the wait time for your food. Other than that, I love the atmosphere and local feel. I love people watching through the large windows and the downtown location. There's plenty of street parking and nearby lots available for easy access. I fell in love with the Monte sandwich on my first visit and haven't looked back. It is a huge sandwich, definitely big enough that you can get full on half of it and save the other half for another meal. The bread is perfection.I have tried many of their soups, and the creamy turkey tarragon was excellent today. I'd love for it to come with some crackers, but it's also perfectly delicious on its own. The service is good as well. Always an enjoyable experience!

This is a cute little café located in downtown Crawfordsville, Indiana. The food was OK... We ordered a grilled ham and cheese and ham was basically deli meat. The menu was also a bit limited. However, the sweet tea was good and the person at the main counter... Who may be the owner?... Was extremely pleasant. However, the ingredients for the other dishes looked fresh, and it is a quaint vibe.

Passing through for lunch and we were intrigued by the peanut butter sriracha beef wrap another reviewer mentioned. It was darn delicious. As was the special, two sausages topped with onions and apples. Both salads were tasty too. Sweet little place

The food is great for lunch, sandwiches, soups, etc. They serve freshly made ice tea and prepare the food once it is ordered. The art on the walls and the hardwood floors create a welcoming, "come and sit and talk" ambiance. Locals love it! The service is always courteous and thoughtful. You need to allow several minutes for the fresh preparation of the food, but it is so pleasant inside that the wait never seems long. They have eat-in and to-go options. I recommend A SecondCity Cafe and appreciate having been able to enjoy so many pleasant meals there.

Best place to have fresh wonderful sandwich soup salads. Love the unique special and the ladies that serve are absolutely the very best. The location is small but always clean, bright and the paintings are very interesting. Love love love eating here. Never had a bad meal.

I 74 has an exit to Crawfordsville, it's noon I check the Yelp app for a cozy cafe..easy to find, parking was accessible for our class B camper van, we likey already.. Greeted with a smile, very chic environment, simple short menu which always means good food..I ordered 1/2 a roast beef with spinach and a garden full of mushrooms with melted Swiss.. yum.. got a side salad Hubby got 1/2 Philly steak and he told me I had done a good job choosing this restaurant.I recommend they need some fab coffee ( just a Keurig with a good selection) and some type of dessert like selections of sherbets.We thought the prices were inline with the delicious fresh hot meal we enjoyed.

The food and service were exceptional, and I enjoyed being able to read while I ate my lunch. Even though the restaurant was busy, I didn't feel like it was too loud or distracting.

The food was delicious, service was good, but it was terribly expensive. The place was ambient.

Everything was fresh and homemade. Big sad which portions that include a side salad or soup. Perfect lunch spot!! **Call to check their hours -- they closed an hour earlier than posted when we were there. We also stopped by one Sunday and it was closed.
