Went in here with a lot of trepidation because, you know, an Indian restaurant in Scottsdale? Can the food be any good? Will the flavors be watered down?Well, I'm happy to report that my hesitation was unfounded. Ordered the butter chicken, malai Kofta, and Naan, and they didn't disappoint. All of them were flavorful and, more importantly, tasted authentic. Needless to say, I'll go back more often especially since I live close by.

Food - like chips and salsa at a Mexican restaurant we were given papadum,a light crispy flat bread, with one sweet and one savory sauce of which I dabbled both onto my crisp and was so flavorful. Next the samosa was yum followed by very tasty lentil soup in a tomato based broth. My daughter really liked her choice of lamb biryani. I ordered the butter chicken (recommended by other patrons on Yelp) and it is absolutely delicious!! I couldn't stop eating it and my daughter kept putting bites on her plate. It was brought with the side of lemony yogurt sauce to top it off to your liking. We were given complimentary garlic naan which added to the enjoyment of dipping into the savory butter sauce. Both entrees had enough for us to take for a lunchtime treat. Which is right about now lol! Service- a bit leery at arrival cuz there were no customers in the restaurant at dinner hours. We were greeted immediately. Served by 3 different people...all very kind and sincere that we were taken well care of and were enjoying the food.Ambiance- very clean spacious restaurant with nice rounded booths and tables and simple traditional decor. Looks like a full bar and big screen tv show of traditional Indian dancing which is so nice to watch the colors, passion, and beauty.So yes I will definitely return to check out the lunch buffet and moreButter chicken. It is worth the drive from Mesa. The parking lot at steak house restaurant around the corner was packed but Scottsdale residents look around the corner and try out this delicious authentic Indian food!! You will not be disappointed.

If you have lived in the area for a while, you know this location has been several different Indian restaurants. We got take-out and all 4 of us agreed it is the best one yet! We got Butter Chicken, Veg Korma, Palak Paneer and Lamb Vindaloo, and they were all very good. So was the garlic naan. Well seasoned and perfect spice. The takeout packaging was great - well sealed in plastic container (not styrofoam) and transported well. My only complaint was the amount of rice provided for 4 dishes. We ordered an extra side of rice, and we still did not have enough. Can't speak to the ambiance and service, but looking forward to trying those out in the future!

I ordered from DoorDash having seen it's a highly recommended spot - so glad I did. I ordered the vegetable samosas and the aloo matar and both were so good! I loved the sauces, the flavors, the heat...will for sure be adding this to my list of Indian spots!

I've eaten at all of the so called "best" Indian restaurants in Scottsdale and Phoenix. As a self proclaimed Indian food foodie you can stop your search! Indian King is now indeed crowned the king as THE place for authentic Indian food served in a clean atmosphere and warm service. If I could 6 stars I would! Selfishly, I'm afraid that the days of getting in without a reservation are numbered. Nevertheless, being a selfless human namaste! Make sure you get the King butter chicken. Everything else is phenomenal, but that dish is super duper special and delicious.Enjoy!

Disappointing. Just like my experience when it was Khazana. The buffet items were all just minimally passable. The only thing I liked was their arhar daal. I stopped consuming almost all of their other dishes.

The food and service were absolutely better than expected. Tandoori chicken was cooked perfectly, the vegetables were delicious, and the staff was extremely courteous and nice. This will surely become a regular spot. What a great surprise.

I love Indian Food and Indian King Bistro is my favorite place in Arizona. Loved their lunch buffet. Their butter chicken, tandoori chicken, mixed vegetables. Lots of delicious vegetarian options. Jessie, the owner and chef Jessie is so kind and professional.The service is excellent, presentable, and clean!

The food was wonderful! I haven't had Indian food in so long! I had such a craving and decided to splurge. I'm glad we did. My daughter and I loved it. My partner and son ate it, but didn't love it. They aren't big fans of Indian food like my daughter and I. (They have no taste! LOL) It will have to be a place my daughter and I go to alone every once in a while.The only down side was that the portions could have been larger with more meat. But that is typical these days of ALL restaurants. Everything is expensive with less food than what we used to get. But I won't reduce the stars because of that.
