I recently dined at Il Forno and had an outstanding experience from start to finish. The restaurant offers a chic, minimalist interior that feels both modern and welcoming, with an elegant ambiance perfect for any occasion. On previous trips, we opted to sit in the outdoor space, which was also beautifully set up, offering a relaxed and enjoyable dining experience al fresco.The food was exceptional! The pizza was expertly crafted with a perfectly crisp crust and fresh, flavorful ingredients--truly some of the best around. Beyond the pizza, every dish we tried was delicious, from the appetizers to the dessert. Their creative cocktail menu is a must-try, with unique and well-balanced drinks that paired wonderfully with the meal. Their wine list is also filled with great choices. Service was attentive and friendly, adding to the overall great experience. Whether you're craving authentic Italian or looking for a place with both indoor and outdoor dining options, Il Forno is a gem. Highly recommend!

Wow, this place was amazing! It is trendy and modern inside and offers outdoor seating. The staff were pleasant and helpful. It is better to have reservations and know that it is slightly noisy inside. We got a pasta special, a pasta on the menu, and a pizza. Oh my gosh, the flavor in everything was amazing!! The pizza was the best surprise. The sauce and crust were delicious. The dough had just a slight hint of salt, char, and yeast, but it was so yummy. The pastas were excellent as well! Great place!!

Il Forno is a hidden gem and is some of the most authentic Italian food you can find in Nashville. You can tell the owners are Italian. My husband and I have eaten here many times and we love it. The pizza and the pasta whisk us back to Rome! Our favorites are the octopus ragu and the lamb fettuccini verde. For pizza, we love the capricciosa and the fungi.I'm seeing reviews that the portion size is small, which I think is preposterous. This isn't Maggianos or Olive Garden. It's a normal portion, not an American oversized XL endless soup, salads, and breadsticks portion okay?? My husband and I always get a salad, one pizza, and one pasta to share and we still have leftovers to take home. I'll Forno also hosts fun events - one time we happened to come by during a salsa night which was super entertaining!

Hidden gem for sure! Everything we got was delicious and the service was super quick and friendly. I also enjoyed getting to watch the kitchen work from my table. I definitely will be back to try the pizzas!!

We've been wanting to try IL Forno for a while now. Finally made it! The restaurant is up a slight hill but a few steps down into the restaurant. It's a big open space, where you can see the kitchen. Parking was kind of limited, we parked down the hill. We got there around 7:30 on a Thursday night & it was packed. We started off with cocktails, the IL Forno & Bianca with gin & spritz. We wanted to try a bit of everything & honestly everything we ordered was great. The special of the day was lobster with risotto, so delicious. The carpaccio fillet mignon, pacheri bolognese, the Bella pizza. I don't have to get the meatballs again. I got the St Gabriel pizza to go for my boyfriend and warmed it in an air fryer, it was soooo good. My friend took home the margherita pizza and really liked that too. We'll definitely be back.

YUM! We stumbled upon Il Forno while hanging out at nearby Fait La Force, and were delighted to find that we could order takeout and eat it at the brewery! We placed our order through their website (which appears to be run by Storefront by DoorDash) and had delicious Italian food to compliment our Beligan-style beers in less than 20 minutes!We decided to try the Diavola pizza - topped with marinara, mozz, and calabrese salami. Although Diavola is typically quite spicy, this had a more mild heat to it. Next time I might ask for some red pepper flakes on the side. Even still, the flavors of the marinara and the fresh mozz mixed with a perfectly charred crust made for a tasty pie. We also ordered the Paccheri - bolognese with fresh ricotta. This hearty meat sauce paired well with the creamy cheese, and the noodles were a fun shape which allowed for optimal sauce scooping. Our only critique was that this dish could've used just a bit more salt. I will happily order takeout from Il Forno again the next time I'm in the area - or even dine in to experience their adorable, Napoli-inspired eatery.

IL Forno was a spot we had to check out while in Nashville. I love Italian food and I know Nashville isn't by any chance known for this type of cuisine but the owners of this restaurant are. Chef Egi Franciosa was born in a sea side city just outside Naples. He brings his love of his home to their restaurant in Nashville. I mean how cool husband and wife business owners who went from sharing their love of Italian cuisine out of a food truck to a brick and mortar. I actually got to meet Chef Egi while we were dining for dinner. He was kind and thankful for us coming to spending our time in their restaurant.The restaurant was aesthetically appealing to the eye. A nice clean, simple style. The food was true to Chef Egi's roots. We ordered:Espresso Martini (7/10) - this was made with real espresso which I greatly appreciated. It wasn't my favorite way to enjoy an espresso martini and although I'm quite the fan favorite of them I'm not a purist. I like mine creamy. This flavor profile wasn't creamy it was very espresso forward. I am certain an espresso martini purist would very much so enjoy this version. Margherita Pizza (10/10) - I want to start with other reviews that I read about the pizza and how wet it is/was. I'm not sure if people are aware that... it's supposed to be that way. It's googlelable. The first thing that comes up when googling it is "Unlike typical American pizza, a delicious pool of flavor forms in the middle of a Neapolitan pie during its short time in the oven making it what one might call wet or "soupy"." So, I think it's only fair to rate this pizza on the flavors and its traditional style. The flavors were robust. The cheese wasn't overpowering, it blended well with the sauce. It wasn't greasy and the crust was crispy. It was true to its roots. I can appreciate that. Rigatoni in cream sauce (10/10) - this wasn't on the menu I inquired about just having a noodle in a cream sauce. It's my favorite way to evaluate the quality of noodles. This did not disappoint. The noodles were made in house and cooked perfectly al dente. The cream sauce was thick and striking. Rigatoni (8.5/10) - the sauce was creamy with a pronounced truffle flavor. The noodles were made perfectly al dente.

We enjoyed our time at Il Forno. I thought the pasta was very good actually, just wish they gave more. Restaurants are leaning more and more towards small plates and I'm forno definitly falls in line with that. Pizza was solid too. Just too small of portion sizes to justify the price for me. Good date night for sure !

We arrived early for a profs and pints event at Fait La Force brewery on a Wednesday evening. You can order the food from Il Forno using the QR code found on the menu at each table. It goes through the Toast app with pickup at the back door of the restaurant. They didn't send a text indicating the food was ready, so just follow the time on the receipt. We both ordered the Diavola pizza. It was delicious! Fresh ingredients, great flavor and a perfect size for a personal pizza.

Group of 6 was sat outside even though there was plenty of room inside. The entire time we ate we were swarmed by flies. The service and management did nothing to accommodate other than light incense sticks that did nothing.Food was great but not worth the effort.
