I recently had lunch out at this location and enjoyed the view to downtown on the patio!! We each ordered a cocktail and the brussel sprouts, Cavoletti Granilatti. My old fashioned was perfect! We also had the Carpaccio, very thinly sliced beef. I've had it better at other restaurants. But it was fine drizzled with the balsamic that came with the order of bread. We also enjoyed the lasagna that arrived bubbling in a cast iron skillet! I would highly recommend this spot for out of towners. But make sure to make reservations!! Service was great too!

A nice and relaxing spot overlooking the San Diego bay. Great view and not touristy at all on the weekdays. The handmade pasta is delicious. We ordered the Tagliatelle Bolognese, very tasty and al dente. The calamari is really fresh, it is one of best I have had. Service is very attentive and the receptionist is very friendly. What more could we ask for?The restaurant is right by the costal walk, a nice walk before/after a meal is very enjoyable. Highly recommended.

Just had dinner here. Food was absolutely delicious. That being said, the service to my daughter & I was not acceptable for a nice restaurant like this. There was only one other party seated besides us . We ordered a bottle of wine, said no to appetizers as we wanted to enjoy our dinner instead of filling up. ( homemade pasta you don't find often) . Our waiter Paul brought our 'bottle' without a canister to keep it cold. Said he was going to get one. 20 minutes later, no canister. We had to ask another assistant to bring one. ( not into drinking warm $60 wine) . More ppl were seated. Our server took everyone's order (4 tables) & never returned to us. Finally came, took our order. When we were served it was an from an 'assistant' . Basically she's dropped the food off, never asked if we needed anything else. Which we did!! It was pasta for Christ sakes. After taking a few bites, my daughter had to get up and go inside to ask if someone could please bring some Parmesan. That was strike 2, as far as I was concerned . Everyone else ( about 4 other tables outside) were attended to w/o issue as I could tell. Our waiter basically never came back but to give me the bill. I don't think $133 is chump change for dinner & wine & to be ignored like we weren't relevant patrons is not good business. I left a shitty tip for shitty service. The food was delicious , so if you like homemade pasta give it a try minus the serviceForgot to mention, all other tables seated by us were brought bread. We were never offered it or was it ever served to us.,

Came here for a dinner and to try the food at the suggestion of family who is from the area. Stunning views of downtown San Diego from the windows. The server was helpful and polite but could tell he was very busy with the evening rush. I prefer my calamari to be a bit more crisp but it was still very good. The filet I ordered was cooked and seared to absolute perfection.

I had been eagerly anticipating a visit to this well-regarded restaurant, so for my birthday, my brother, husband, and I decided to head there for happy hour to celebrate. We were all excited to sample the renowned cocktails and dishes. To kick things off, I ordered a tiki cocktail, my husband chose an old fashioned, and my brother opted for sangria. Each drink was a masterpiece in its own right--beautifully crafted and delightful. We enjoyed them so much that we didn't hesitate to order a second round. For food, we decided on a margarita pizza, ravioli with spinach, cauliflower rosemary, and some bruschetta. The bruschetta was notably crispy and flavorful. The cauliflower dish, while tasty, was unfortunately too greasy for our liking. The pizza and ravioli, however, were somewhat disappointing. They were just average and didn't stand out as something special. If you're planning to visit for happy hour, I'd recommend choosing a seat on the patio near the bar for some lovely views.Overall, the standout of our visit was definitely the drinks; the food, sadly, didn't meet our expectations. Another small letdown was that the restaurant didn't acknowledge my birthday in any way. Considering its popularity and reputation in Coronado, I had hoped for a little something extra to make my day feel special. Nonetheless, it was a memorable outing with family, marked by mixed experiences.

This is a lovely well adorned Italian and seafood restaurant right on the bay side of Coronado Island. We sat on the well shaded patio which provides breathtaking views of Bay activities and naval and water vessels of all sizes and types. Our waitress was there immediately. Drinks were ordered with glasses of water. The Old Fashioned and Expresso Martini were delicious. I ordered an Arnold Palmer and it was not very good. They need to improve this popular drink. Fresh Ciabatta bread was ordered and delivered with a dish with balsamic and olive oil for dipping. It was terrific!More Appetizers were ordered. Absolutely delicious tempura coated Calamari and baby Octopus were served with marinara sauce. We also enjoyed the egg plant baked Lasagna. Yummy. Main courses were pastas and grilled seafood platter. Then dessert with expresso, ice cream, and Baileys for the topper. All in all it was a very pleasant dining experience both for the scenic views and delicious food. I would highly recommend a visit and can't wait to go back!

Had a nice birthday dinner here. It's early spring so the weather was clear and beautiful but still a little chilly, we sat out on the patio overlooking the convention center and Coronado bridge. Our waiter and busser were bother very friendly. We had lots of appetizers - loved the calamari and the fried zucchini flowers. Drinks were good, though my "Sorrento King" tasted a little like a campfire. The pastas and seafoods we had for main courses were all great, as was the tiramisu.

I love this place but reservations are recommended, however small and impromptu tables 2-3 can usually be accommodated, with some patience on your part and not being too demanding about your table location. That's living "Coronado Dangerous". ;-)Food and specialty drinks are amazing. The service is pretty good.Your bill for two will start at about $100 and go up from there. If you really like wine go to S & F and pound a $30 bottle of Pinot Noir or Cab in the parking lot beforehand, and then just order a glass of something decent inside. You can thank me later. If you want lighter fare, then just stick to the appetizers and you will be good.
