Ikura Sushi

Excited this place opened up. The sushi, apps, and service were all excellent. Will be back.

Wow! We found fresh sushi that's with well balanced flavors that taste amazing! You can really feel that thought is really behind each roll. The owner is really nice and also the sushi chef - Chef Himmi. The whole staff is also fantastic and they provide some great recommendations. We started with their spicy tuna over crispy rice and that was delicious - great starter! We had the caterpillar role which was delicious and refreshing. We ordered their Lemon Kiss. I'm not a fan of cream cheese in sushi rolls but I could hardly tell it was in there. The fresh fish and lemon really came through in that roll and it was delicious. Now the show stopper for us was the Hamachi Futomaki! That had layers of flavor and so fresh, highly recommend! We ate at the sushi bar which is always fun because you can chat with the chef!They have beer on the menu and only thing missing was saki.

Finally a great sushi spot in Franklin.I was looking for a new spot to try for date night and woo hoo I found a winner. No "fusion" here- this is straight Japanese. Coming from LA my hubby and I have missed good clean sushi. Sweet little mom&pop sushi and Japanese spot. Very friendly warm-spirited and kind staff! Notably there are some really unique sushi rolls that are not just made up of a lot of fried stuff and a lot of mayonnaise which is greatly appreciated and I'm looking forward to trying more. I have a feeling this is where they shine for the sushi side of the menu. I requested a plain tuna roll and a plain avocado roll just because that's what I tend towards generally but next time I'm definitely going to try maybe the double crab roll or one of their other specialties. The standout for me out of the whole bento box that I got was the vegetable tempura. First of all a slice of winter squash was one of the vegetables and that is always a favorite choice for me. I feel like it's been years since I've had really good tempura with the super light batter and this hit the mark. The "tempura sauce" is not on the menu but you can ask for it. I also tried the spicy yuzu sauce which was delicious and fun. And they did have a spicy mayonnaise which I traditionally am not a fan of but I actually liked theirs better than any other I have tried anywhere in my whole life.Also of note they do have a couple of semi-private areas which would be good for a birthday party or some sort of gathering.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful Japanese sushi restaurant, Ikura Sushi, and I can't say enough good things about it! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted by the super friendly staff who went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. They even surprised me with a complimentary spring roll, which was a delightful start to the meal.The ambiance was authentic and cozy, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing and enjoyable dining experience. Every dish I tried was fresh and expertly crafted, showcasing the chef's incredible skill and attention to detail. The quality of the food was top-notch, and the portions were generous--especially considering the very reasonable prices.There were absolutely no downsides to my visit. This restaurant is a true gem, and I highly recommend it to anyone who loves sushi or is looking to explore Japanese cuisine. I'll definitely be returning soon!

We checked out this new sushi restaurant in Brentwood off of Moores Lane. We've been anticipating the opening and it didn't disappoint! It's a casual dining space with a sushi bar, perfect for lunch or a date night. We tried a little bit of everything and it was all delicious. The service was amazing, we were greeted upon arrival and our server was super kind and attentive to ensure we had a great experience. We will be back soon! I definitely recommend checking this place out, they haven't been open long but they already have things dialed in!

New sushi in cool springs! In the mall in front of Home Depot / Publix next to Dickie's BBQ. Quaint, clean, with a great staff. Prices are reasonable. I stuck with my usual rainbow roll and two spicy tuna rolls. Solid quality. They also understand food allergies and carry GF soy sauce.

The place was clean and well appointed. The service was thoughtful and attentive. The sushi was exceptional. It's a bit different than most traditional "lunch special" places. It's delicious and had unique bites. I highly recommend anyone giving it a try.

The food was fabulous. I had the Donburi Chicken which was served with helathy veggies and pickled japanese pickles which made for an amazing Donburi. Chicken was all white meat and the teriyaki sauce was flavorful without being too sweet and thick. It was a pleasurable dining experience with a friendly serving staff . The decor was updated and esthetically pleasing. So many sushi/japanese restaurants in Cool Springs serve dishes covered in sweet/thick teriyaki sauce. However, at Ikura the flavors are light but very tasty. My granddaughter is a very picky eater and she was afraid to try out Ikura but was pleasantly surprised and loved her chicken Bento Box dinner!

THE BEST SUSHI IN NASHVILLE. Mom and pop shop and the sushi chef was a virago chef for 20+ years. The sushi is so fresh and tasty. We will be coming weekly to this spot.
