Tried Ikes for my first time today. It was amazing!!! Not only was the food amazing so was the service. Debbie and Jason were top notch. I will be back.

I wanted tot try this place and took a gamble by ordering catering for 50 people for an office event. I will say I appreciate their gluten free options.First of all, the delivery was 20 minutes late so Ihad people awkwardly waiting around. While I loved the variety of sandwiches and the tasty offerings, I couldn't get over the sweet tasting bread. Why does it taste like there's so much added sugar? This was the general consensus of my business attendees too, unfortunately. Will not be ordering again unless they rework the bread recipe.

Great sandwiches. There are so many to choose from! It's not very big inside but they offer indoor and outdoor seating. The cashier was really kind and helped me decide on the best sandwich for me! I love the bread that came on the sandwich! I'd never had Dutch crunch bread before but I'm addicted now!

I got the beast mode sandwich and it was good. I think I liked the turkey avocado bacon sandwich I got the first time but forgot what it was called. What I really like is the bread for it's got a good taste. The menu seems a little big and too many options in my opinion. I didn't expect them to ask me if I wanted a lollipop which seemed a little strange but OK.

The sandwiches are sooo good! but if you want goofy unprofessional college students making fun of your order (chicken bacon ranch) while you're right next to them then maybe don't come to this particular location. Every time I've come I have the same tired experience. It's just very odd. The diner is never clean either.

We wanted to try something new so we tried Ike's. We had a Jaymee Sirewich. We added avacado and bacon to this sandwich and it didn't disappoint. The bread was tasty and stayed together even with all the avocado. They weren't stingy that's for sure. It has a delicious ranch sauce on it with pepper jack cheese and yellow bbq sauce which I believe is a bbq/mustard mix. I don't typically like mustard but this was delicious. Can't wait to go back.

I got the Terrell Davis: turkey, bacon, and provolone. Unique Dutch bread has a pretty good flavor, the texture was a little rough on the roof of my mouth, but not enough to make me stop eating it. We saw there is a Vegas location, so we're planning on checking out that one too. Bonus free suckers!

Was really excited to see that Ike's was soon to arrive at the Ralph's shopping center in La Jolla Village. My wife and I had checked out the menu and quickly figured out that they offer LOTS of vegan options.We stopped by a couple weeks after Ike's opened and ordered sandwiches: I got the Meatless Mike meatball sub and my wife went with a Sometimes I'm a Vegetarian -- all veganized. We also bought some of the Zapp's chips, which are a welcome addition to the menu.It took about 10 minutes for our sandwiches to get made -- not too bad, though it wasn't very busy. I've got to think it takes a lot longer when the place is packed. The good news is you can use the Ike's phone app to order ahead of time then pick up.We LOVED our sandwiches -- plenty of food, all super fresh and yummy. And the chips were of course really good. Looking forward to working our way through the vegan menu -- sandwich by sandwich!

I can't believe how lucky UCSD students are nowadays. Back then, we didn't even have an Ike's in San Diego and when they finally opened one, it was all the way in Hillcrest. I love the variety here and with such a huge menu, you can try something different almost every time. With each sandwich, you can choose the type of bread and there's a few "freebie" add-ons such as lettuce, tomatoes, pickles, red onions, etc. Each order also comes with a Tootsie Caramel Apple Pop...that's always been like that, no matter which location I've been to. Menage A Trois: Halal chicken, honey mustard, BBQ sauce, honey, and pepperjack, swiss, and cheddar cheese. Every sandwich is also served with the Dirty Sauce, which is their garlic aioli. This sandwich is on the sweeter side with the honey and BBQ sauce. Be careful of the sauce, it was constantly dripping and made a mess. I was a little worried that the chicken would be dry but it was super moist, almost as if it just absorbed all the sauces. I ordered the food to-go and it was ready in less than 5 minutes! Glad to see that they have their system down, but I do wonder how it'll be when it gets busy. Come for their Grand Opening Event at 10AM on May 25th, 2023! The first 50 people in line will receive a free T-shirt and sandwich! Also all sandwiches will be $7.97, which is almost a 50% discount. Also, be sure to join the rewards program which gives a free sandwich on your birthday.
