I was excited to try Ichiban since I always passed by this restaurant on Charlotte Pike, so I decided to get take out. I got the beef teriyaki dinner bento box, which included a lot of food because it had beef, rice, a roll of California roll, soup, salad, and 2 veggie spring rolls. The food looked great, but the taste was okay. Portion for the price was meh. The beef was kinda overcooked, the sauce was your typical teriyaki sauce so that was decent. The California roll did not taste the most fresh, it was something about it that was not a good sushi roll. Salad was like chunks of lettuce and the salad dressing was ok. The ginger and wasabi was dry as well. Spring rolls were decent. I was disappointed at the food.

4.5/5Definitely one of my new favorite sushi spots! Been here a couple times for takeout and the food has always been really good from here. Both times I've gotten their sweet potato maki sushi, as well as a couple different rolls. Unfortunately they're only takeout since they're short staffed but once they get the short staff situation figured out, I'd love to dine in here sometime!

We were starving and driving down Charlotte and decided to pop in here on a whim. They were doing takeout only so we ordered hibachi chicken (comes with soup and salad), spicy garlic edamame, and a shrimp tempura roll + cream cheese. Tbh, everything was so good. Maybe it was cause we were starving or maybe this place is just really good. Boyfriend had never had edamame, loved these. Got everything pictures for $50, so I feel like it was a good value! We'll be going back

This was disgusting. I can't believe I paid 70+ dollars for this. I thru everything out minus the house salad. Sashimi was not sushi grade fish. All my rolls tasted like they were prepared days ago. All the rice was hard. I've had way better grocery store sushi. HARD PASS on this dump. Also, made this order on Uber eats. Called restaurant to make additions on m order; not a single one was met!
