Food was good but the service sucked the woman ringing us up was cool but there was another woman next to her rude asfck just kept being disrespectful I don't know whos attitude worse hers or the mom at rock steady .

Great service... I will say the food was fresh, very fresh. The ribs were for some reason moist on the outside but actually kinda dry otherwise. Perhaps it's how they're cooked, then stored. I think it's difficult to keep bbq fresh, hot and ready so maybe there not there with the volume to change the current practice for the brick and mortar location vs catering. The bbq sauce was good but I didn't use that bbq sauce to add moisture. Together they were still ok. I had a couple of sides. The fresh slaw was just lacking salt or a punch of something. The collard greens were cooked well, simple nothing fancy with too much salt or fatback, etc... actually pretty heathy in my opinion.Overall meal was a good deal, but please taste your food before serving. I'll be back!Also, I don't think rating yourself 5 stars with pictures is good marketing... let others do it so there aren't any surprises

New joint. Decided to visit them one day (while raining) I ordered the ribs with 2 sides. The only disappointment was the Mac & cheese. It was not your grandma's Mac/cheese for sure. Very gooey and the cheese was just not evenly distributed. But aside from that, worth the trip in the rain.

I ordered the Rib meal with a double side of greens, The Swat Burger and Beef Hot Link!!! Delicious doesn't begin to describe it! The customer service was great, and yes, everyone was wearing a mask and adhering to social distancing rules and regulations. But the food was so flavorful. From tenderness to serving sizes. And, the food was ready in less than 10 minutes! We will definitely be frequenting this establishment regularly. Tip: Get there early... they WILL sell out and close up shop for the day! That's how good it is!

I got an order of 9 racks of ribs for my crew of 14 here at ballast point brewing in Miramar. The entire crew fell in love first bite. There was even an employee who said he does not like ribs. After trying a bite he ate a full plate. These ribs are AMAZING!!! I highly recommend anything he cooks! I will be back no doubt.

Very tender, falling off the bone, tasty ribs, and delicious chicken. The bbq flavor was not overwhelming...it was evenly distributed over the meat, and Ty is the funniest, sweetest guy ever.

I have got the beef ribs on many occasions but this time the taste was like liquid smoke and kind of tough. Not very good at all. I will still give them a 4. Their food is good .

This new BBQ stop was referred to me as being the best on Facebook and I have been trying to find somewhere that could cook food that I like besides me doing it myself. I immediately had to go try it. I'm the best at Bbq and it's very hard for me to like the sauce , or the meat, or the sides. I found all of these items to be outstanding at I Que BBQ. Even my son , whom is an real critic and doesn't like Bbq, was totally amazed and said that we might need to turn around and go right back and we both agreed that this will be our spot.- Everything was incredible and we bought several things. I'm totally impressed and you really need to do yourselves a favor and check it out yourself.

New spot opened up in the La Mesa area.Some of the best BBQ in the city hands down. The Owner/Pitmaster is an Atlanta native and has brought TRUE down south flavor to SD if you're looking for real authentic southern bbq. The ribs are smoked ,tender and flavorful , as well as the smoked brisket and tri-tip. The signature "Durty Burger" is like no other burger patty I've tasted. The mix of quality beef, sausage, and spices is mouth watering. Currently only open for pick-up/to-go orders Thursday-Saturday (11a-7p/or Sold Out). I recommend getting there early, they usually sell out of most items by around 4p-5p. They also offer catering services as well.

Visited the new I-Que BBQ at 8733 Broadway, La Mesa on 3/6/2021.This is in a strip mall by the IHOP where the 94 and 125 freeways meet.Still in take-out mode. Owner and staff very friendly, lotta people in and out.I am passionate about BBQ, and trying out a new BBQ place is a big deal for me. My friend and I both had the pulled pork sandwich. Bun was good, meat was good, toppings were good. My friend has a restaurant background, says the price was a little high for the size. I had to agree; (we'd both been doing heavy labor all day, and were STARVED. I got some Pad Thai when I got home, as I was still hungry.) Two sauces, one more mustardy.What impressed me here was the WORKABILITY of the sandwich. In comparison to two other local places -- Coop's and the BBQ shack at Valley Farms market -- I was left reflecting how large, unworkable chunks of meat (with fat, gristle, stringy bits) make for an unworkable, messy sandwich. I literally have to eat 2/3 the meat of the Coop's Brisket sandwich with a fork before I settle down to eating it as a sandwich. I'm giving five stars to IQBBQ, in a spirit of encouragement, because they understand a sandwich AS a sandwich, as something you can hold in your two hands and tuck into. As such, the pulled pork sandwich was JUST PERFECT, and my restaurant buddy agrees. I got the spinach and cole-slaw as toppers, which made a perfect combo with the sauce, meat, and heavenly-soft bun.This is a preliminary review, we will be back to check on the brisket burnt ends sandwich, and a few other things, before giving a comprehensive review.Menu could use some grace in its redesign, too many square blocks of color, but that's no biggy.
