I Dream of Weenie

When I walked in I adored the ambiance inside with all the weenie themed signs, sculptures and furniture. It was wonderful and it felt like a nice place to hang out with friends. I remember when it was only a food truck! The service was fast and the weenies were good. If you want to eat hotdogs, this is the place.

I really enjoyed the atmosphere in this place. The staff was super fun. The Corndog was crispy on the outside. I think it was the perfect amount of breading and it was cooked all the way through. The hotdog on the inside had great flavor and texture. The burnt end sausage with cole slaw was fabulous. There was a perfect combination of crunch and creaminess. There are also a great assortment of weenie gifts to buy.

Really good hot dogs, the Eggs Benedict dog is very unique and the egg was cooked perfectly. The chili cheese dog is good but the chili needs more spices. The buns are good and buttery which goes great with the hot dogs! Service was great. Plenty of seats.

In a converted VW bus this has now become a local staple. With the Quick service, friendly staff and delicious dogs it's easy to see why it's such a busy place. I cannot stress enough how good the Mac n cheese is or how much you should walk here. It's not a place you drive and get parking at.

Delicious hot dog! I had the polenta dog and it did not disappoint! Loaded up with toppings and the dog itself was delicious and juicy! Bread was soft and fresh as well!

I love everything about this concept. You know the concept of a hotdog cart with a roof. No frills just delicious tasty bites on the go. The menu has all sorts of delicious hotdogs and brat combos, but I went with the Rebel Yelp. This is essentially a spicy version of a classic hotdog. It's topped with mustard, diced jalapeños, red onions and a fiery relish called Tennessee chow chow; a sweet and hot relish made with cabbage, jalapeños, and love, according to their menu. By the way, they should bottle and sell the stuff. This hotdog was delicious and it was exactly what I wanted. Something quick and easy but also delicious and filling. Instead of chips, I opted for a side of mac & cheese. As the youngsters say, "this shit hits!" Seriously this stuff was amazing. The mac & cheese was creamy, the noodles were slightly under so they offered a slight texture change, and that cheese sauce had a kick. I took one bite, turned around, and gave a thumbs up to the kitchen. Just like any nerdy dad would do. This place has been on my East Nashville list for a while and I'm glad I was finally able to go. The guys prepping the food were awesome and chatted me up for a bit. Just a reminder, this is literally a van that serves hotdogs next to a parking lot. No real place to sit. Just get your food and you can either stand and eat at the counter or grab your food and go. I'll definitely dream of this weenie.

I dream of weenie is a popular and quirky hot dog joint located in the five points neighborhood of nashville Tennessee. My buddy and I was in town visiting nashville and had the five points neighborhood circled on our to do list because of the big public art scene and this place. Place is popular because of the obviously humorous name and having pretty good hot dogs. Some might even say a hot dog you dream about? Anyways we stopped in about lunch time on a late Saturday morning. The establishment is in a food truck trailer type setup and has a grassy area with some picnic tables. The exterior is creatively and vibrantly decorated as one might expect for a place with a quirky and fun name. We walk to the window and make our order. I personally went with the chilli cheese dog which is a classic hot dog and always a must order for me. My buddy went with a Sauerkraut dog and a another dog that featured Jalepenos on it. Like most food truck/stand type setups they sold can cokes and bags of chips as well. Our food was prepared and came out very quickly. The place was pretty crowded and they kept the line moving. Place seemed to pretty popular with bachelorette parties (was like 2 of them that rolled up on a Saturday late morning while we was there). I'm sure it's a fun photo op next to the "I dream of weenie" sign. Not gonna lie as you can tell from the yelp photos I took the photo opportunity myself. I have a wife and five daughters who will enjoy that pic for years to come. Moving on I enjoyed my chili cheese dog. The hot dogs were actually bigger than I anticipated. Seems like most specialty hot dog joints skimp on hot dog size and just load up on toppings. However this place had a nice mix of both. The chili and cheese both had nice flavor and it made for an enjoyable and filling quick lunch. My buddy appeared to enjoy his hot dogs as well. Not the best we've had but still pretty good. Overall a very fun and quirky place with a cool and nice vibe to it. One of those places you may visit for the gags or laughs and you stay and come back for the atmosphere and food.

We were in in Nashville looking for new places to try and eat. We came across the funny sounding name I dream of Winnie and thought we must go here cause that sounds great and hilarious. So we get there and I order two hotdogs and both were really good. The chili dog was probably my favorite of the two with jalapeños. Both were very solid and I would recommend.

They had such a great selection of hot dogs. I got the Slaw Chili Dog and it was so good. They also had blackberry cobbler and it was fantastic with some vanilla ice cream.

Weenie was bussin but not dreamable. The mac n cheese was kinda dry but yummy. The new location is super cute! I'll probs be back sometime :)
