This is what you call "Hood Ribs" because if you are looking for Carson type ribs you would be going to the wrong place. Now, if you sometimes just want the grease and sauce slathered over some meaty rib tips then you would love this place. Now, I didn't give it 5 stars because although I enjoyed my rib tips some were hard and uneatable. It was 14.75 for the large tips but they gave you enough to feed at least 3 people depending on how much you eat. This is a cash only or cash app establishment so make sure you don't bring the plastic because there isn't a close ATM machine around.Due to the pandemic at least when I went you could not eat in the restaurant. I also got the chicken wings and they were fresh and tasty. I didn't add sauce to them because I didn't want them to come home soggy so I just dipped them in my sauce with the tips.I can't wait to go back and get some "Hood Ribs" they will definitely be my go to guilty pleasure once a month. As always...Enjoy and be Safe!!!

Terrible. I wanted to go try to get my money back but it would have probably been a waste of time. What a dump. I got a rib tips dinner and small tip/link combo. The rib tips smelled funky. Like they might have been old and reheated. The links were SO-SO but we ended up throwing it all out. We spent close to $30 for a bunch of garbage. I will never go here again.

I was volunteering at the Windy City Ribfest over the holiday weekend and I94 had their trailer inconspicuously parked next to Bill's ribs and the beer stand. During my first shift, on July 4th, I had some of their delicious, meaty, tender ribs and sauce. I tend to prefer a mustard based sauce because I have a sugar tolerance issue. This was NOT a mustard sauce and IT WAS INCREDIBLE. I didn't have a reaction to it so whatever they did - yes. Do that some more! The ribs were cooked to absolute perfection -- not too much fat and PLENTY of meat. I was SO looking forward to seeing them again during my second shift on the 6th but they were gone! NO WAY they should have lost to Austin. No way. I'm going to have to find a way to get my no-car-owning butt down there for more!

Attended the Bourbon and BBQ fest in Roscoe Village, and was drawn to the I-94 food truck as it was the only one offering ribs (poorly named event; only three bbq vendors). Their's also had the longest line. (Often a good sign!) About a dozen folks were ahead of me. Twenty minutes into my wait in line, they announced that they were out of ribs. Mind you, this is rather early in the first day of a weekend-long event. But no biggie; rib tips are also on the menu. Fifteen minutes later I'm finally at the window. I'm going to go ahead and say that I found the long, slow service a bit baffling, as they had their window gal and three or four other guys manning the truck and smoker. Having run a couple of family bbq joints in Texas and Connecticut, I'm not unfamiliar with the process, and a good part of their menu is smoked; i.e.- pre-cooked. Heck. I ran our bbq food truck solo, and moved through three times as many orders in the same amount of time. While waiting was calculating of all the sales lost to their glacial service. Finally placed my order for rib tips, fried catfish, and 2 jerk "brat" links. $35, before tip. Fries come free. Undercooked, but included. My two links were like, 2/3 of one link. Each sausage link should have two, rounded ends, right? My order of two "links" had one, and appeared as if the sausage had been snapped into three pieces, of which the left and middle found their way into my clamshell. Flavor was okay, if fatty. Still, felt ripped off that 1-1/3 of my order was withheld. And a bit insulted that I should accept two pieces of sausage as two sausages. Just say so. The rib tips were hardly that, and were but a bland and unappealing assortment of cartilage, bone, and gristle, with maybe an ounce of tough if edible meat. And which was way, way, too undercooked to be called barbecue. There was no bark, and it was at least three or four hours away from being close to fall-off-the-bone. It was offal. Absolute worst I've ever experienced in my 50+ years of smoking and eating bbq, bar none. Catfish was decent, though. Nice sauce. Seem like nice folks. Hope they up their game, have more pride in their product, and respect their customers more in the future. Because, barbecue!

I was going to a different establishment on 7/13 and it was closed. I called my brother to ask where another Bar B Q place was and he suggested this one. I had been attempting to try them before. I was not disappointed with the Tip/Link combo. I will definately go back. No waiting 1/2 hour for your food. Fast service.
