Huoyan hotpot is a great spot to get some good quality AYCE hotpot in the north Seattle area. They bring out plenty of think spiced meats each time you ask for more and service was good. There is an open sauce bar which is something you do not always see at other places and it is enjoyable to make your own custom sauce.FoodThe meat quality was good and fresh. They bring out good portions when you ask for more for AYCE. There is a good variety of meats and cuts from beef, pork, chicken, and even some seafood. There are the usual vegetables, mushrooms, and tofus which were fresh as well. There is the option between hand cut noodles, which I recommend, and ramen noodles. The soup came out in a 2 broth split pot and there's a variety of broths to pick from. I got the chicken broth and 1 chili pepper Szechuan spicy beef oil broth (which was still too spicy and numbing for me but I can't tolerate spice very well sadly). We had about 2-4 people per pot of broths at the table. The sauce bar allows you to make your own custom sauces and there's plenty to customize from. I made a soy based sauce mixed with oyster oil, sesame oil, a touch of vinegar, garlic, green onion, and cilantro. AtmosphereI came with a large group of friends and totaled 8 people. We were here early as well and was able to grab their "VIP" room which is sectioned off from the rest of the restaurant. Noise level was lower in here and we had plenty of space. Very casual atmosphere and has cool decorations throughout. PricingPricing was pretty good for the AYCE menu and not overly expensive compared to other hot pot places. There is open bar for sauces and appetizers. Quality was good for what I paid. ServiceThe servers were very friendly and thorough in making sure that we got the right broths and right meats! I had no problems and they were quick to bring out what we ordered. OtherPlenty of parking at the restaurant on a Saturday lunch. The entrance is located on the upper half of the building.

Good price, good menu, and good service. The sauce bar was not bad with some small dishes, no shacha sauce though. We came in on the Sunday after thanksgiving and it was not crowded as it usually is. Parking was easy as it had a park lot. Women's restroom had 3 stalls - one's lock didn't work; one's toilet was clogged; the remaining one was locked... so we couldn't use the restroom. Otherwise, wonderful food and we enjoyed the space.

Okay I'll have to preface this review with the admission that I adore the place for my experiences here but it's probably at best a 4 star Chinese hotpot. I know most Chinese cuisines VERY well and cook it myself but I'm relatively inexperienced at hotpot as I can't get my family to try but much.Instead of Palisade, El Gaucho, or another high end birthday dinner with the family, I unusually used my birthday power to coerce family to celebrate here.So glad I did and they enjoyed it too leaving me to clean up the last ingredients. Love that their condiment and cold dish bar came back after covid! Plenty of care and attention and we never went without food. Meat and veg quality was pretty good though not "top shelf". Tong Ho a must try for Caucasian newbies! Can only find it at certain Asian supermarkets. Wish I could take the soup broth home after!!!Tried the pickled cabbage broth this tube and it's now my favorite. Could have made an awesome noodle soup the next day with that broth.!!

Customer service was out of this world. It was my first time trying hotpot and the the staff was extremely friendly and respectful. They guided me through the numerous menu options. I took advantage of the $39 all you can eat option. Went with the spicy Szechuan vegetable oil broth and the pickled cabbage broth. 10/10 for the pickled cabbage broth! The add ons were extremely fresh! Small restaurant overall but spotlessly clean! I will be back with a group! Had a blast thank you for a great experience

Located in an unassuming plaza across from the Costco/Home Depot on highway 99. It is family owned and usually not a big wait if you are craving hot pot. I've tried both their chicken and tomato based broths and they are both very tasty. It doesn't have the lingering MSG taste. They are also generous with the portions so my family and I are usually full after the first round. There is a sauce bar and some appetizers to choose from which are both included in the price. It is 30.99 for both lunch and dinner.

We had dinner here. The broth was spectacular! Our waitress recommended the pepper and chili broth since they were out of the spicy beef chili and my goodness, that broth was delicious! It had black peppercorns, good amount of salt, and a numbing spice to it without the dense red chili oil (which I prefer not to have anyways). We got the lean and fatty beef, fish fillet , fried tofu, quail eggs, napa cabbage, king mushrooms, and bean curds. All very delicious and very good quality. I highly recommend all to try!Forgot to mention, they had a lovely sauce bar with apps and fruit. We had some of their edamame, seaweed salad, and fried chicken (very tasty)! The service was also amazing. We were asked several times how dinner was going and if we needed anything. Our waters were filled promptly and food came out quickly. All and all, I really enjoyed dinner here and can't wait to come back!

We decided to try hot pot for the first time and we could not have chosen a better place. Immediately entering this establishment, we were greeted with smiles. The waitress explained how everything works, showed us how to use the hot plate at our table and showed us where complimentary sides were located. My husband and I brought our toddler with us and the staff were incredibly welcoming and sweet to our little one. They spoke to him, played with him and made him smile the entire time we were there. I wish we lived closer to this place because we would be there all the time. The hospitality was just amazing and the food was great too!

Delicious hot pot like Chengdu, Sichuan Province, China. Really nice husband and wife team Open and operate the restaurant. We got half mala spicy and the other half non-spicy mushroom broth. Loved the beef, lamb, mushroom, tofu, cabbage and more. Can't wait to go back again. Check it out.

All you can eat style hotpot. Friendly staff.I like the tomato broth base the most. My partner liked the dry tofu a lot because they can absorb the flavor. I like the fish and sliced beef. Personally I wouldn't recommend you order sliced potato because it takes forever to cook through. Broad noodles taste good, worth a try.I'm not picky when it comes to Chinese hotpot because generally they taste the same to me. So I'm happy with this place in general, except I find the music kinda loud and annoying.

Wow this is one of my favorite hot pot places in Seattle! The customer service is fab and the food is so freaking good, you won't be able to stop eating which is perfect because it's ACE!! They had free appetizers - fried chicken, shrimp chips, black bean Chinese donuts and more. They were all so good. There was a sauce bar too and I made such a good combo with all the options they had. We ordered fatty pork belly and beef for meat - both were delicious and with plenty of portions. Along with that we got tofu, fish balls, noodles and cabbage. I'll say I only really liked the tofu. The fish balls weren't very flavorful and the noodles didn't taste hand made. We got the spicy beef soup and when they say spicy, they mean it. I actually couldn't handle the spice even though I thought I had a good spice tolerance but my husband was totally fine. We came in at 5pm and it wasn't crowded at all. All in all, I'll definitely be back. Awesome hot pot spot in Shoreline!! It had this cute family run business vibe to it as well.
