Before going back to San Diego, I wanted to find a restaurant that had banh beo to eat with my boyfriend. And we found a place in Little Saigon! It's located next to Ebisu Bento and Pho So 1 in the Ding How Center on S Jackson St in Little Saigon. There is a small parking lot with narrow stalls. Very narrow stalls. Be careful when parking and exiting/entering your cars!My boyfriend and I ordered quite a bit of food. Besides Banh Beo Chen, I also noticed they had Banh Bot Loc! SO EXCITED. So of course, we order those two as appetizers. The banh bot loc had a nice mochi bounciness but without much protein. I felt like there wasn't much shrimp and pork in it. There was more "skin" than anything. The fish sauce made it delicious tho! The banh beo chen was really good! So much flavor in this dish with a lot of proteins and the fish sauce amplified the flavor. Sooooo good. It wasn't in a sauce dish like the traditional way but portion-wise, there was a lot more in one dish/saucer compared to other restaurants. I got their Bun Bo Hue. It was not a favorite of mine. There wasn't much flavor in the dish. It didn't have much of the "hearty" flavor that I'm used to. However, there was lots of protein. A lot more than I expected which made it a little better. My boyfriend got their Mi Quang soup noodle dish. It was both our first time trying it soup noodle dish. It had a sweetish flavor with wide egg noodles. It was quite good; maybe a bit sweeter than I liked (not a bad thing). Quite impressed by the flavor balance in this dish. The shrimp and pork gave the soup a really nice umami, salty flavor balancing the sweetness of the broth.Overall, small hole-in-the-wall restaurant that definitely deserves a little more praise! They serve different soup noodle dishes outside of pho and also rice dishes.

An usually sunny, warm April day seemed like the perfect excuse to have an adventure in areas I don't typically frequent, and Huong Binh was the perfect place to end up!I love when I end up at restaurants where I've never heard of the dishes being offered. We had to take advantage of this and ordered the following:- Banh Beo Chen: This is described on the menu as "steamed rice pancakes", but I'd really say texturally it's more of a cross between a rice cake and a jelly. I love all things savory and this did the trick! The fish sauce that accompanied it was also delicious and delivered a kick I was not anticipating!- Banh Hoi Thap Cam: This was delicious! Both the pork meatball and grilled pork were absolutely exceptional truly stood out. I've honestly never met a ground shrimp on sugar cane I didn't love, and Huong Binh's was the same. My least favorite was the shrimp, but only if you pressed me to nitpick. Really, it's a slam dunk all around, the pork is just what really shines. I also loved that all of the accompanying veggies were very fresh.- Com Tam Bi Suon Cha Huong Binh: The pork chop was perfect, albeit a bit too high on the bone to meat ratio (but def no fault of the place, just the nature of the cut). The egg meatleaf was also super unique and yummy!Honestly everything we ate here was absolutely fantastic, and all three dishes were things we would love to re-order.

Really good bun bo hue! I was super in the mood for BBH and tried to find somewhere open (it was already 7:30). Stumbled upon Huong Binh and it was delicious. We were the last people in the place, but they were still so kind. It was perfectly spicy and the trotter was delicious.

One of the few Viet places in Seattle that has banh beo on their menus. The banh beo chens were in bowls rather than saucers which surprised me. They had a lot more meat than what I'm used to seeing in banh beo Chen. The banh bot loc was more similar to mochi.Service was aight; food was good. My friend and I just ordered appetizers and sat there to talk for hours.

With the crime subsiding (or relocated) at the corner of 12th and Jackson, I chose to support Hương Bình, which is one of only maybe 3 restaurants that are still open in the entire Ding How Center. What a darn shame. Their menu offers a VAST variety not found in suburbia pho shops. I purposely chose unusual dishes that I can't find near home to take advantage of this opportunity. Their prices are quite low, and they seem to have made substitutions to compensate. If they stay open to feed the elderly Vietnamese in the area, by all means, substitute for lower cost ingredients. I'm all for it.The Food:Bánh Bèo Chén - 5 StarsI order Bánh Bèo, but the guy says they don't have it but have this with a "trust me" attitude. Ok, I'll bite. It's basically a variant of Bánh Bèo, but instead served in a small bowl (larger size) and with more toppings. Worth it!Bánh Uớt Tôm Cháy - 3.5 StarsThe English translation says Vietnamese rice roll. It's the same base as the Chinese rice roll or cheung fun but served Vietnamese style. Even with the dipping sauce, it's a bit plain.Bún Bò Huế - 3.5 StarsIt literally means Hue's beef noodle soup. (Hue is a region in Vietnam.) Their version had more pork than beef, which is odd. All the previous versions I had is beef-centric. The flavor is good though.Bún Riêu Cua - 3.5 StarsThe cua means minced crab. The dish is pretty cheap, so I wasn't expecting much (or any) crab. Their "crab and egg paste" were more like ground-pork balls with maybe hints of crab. I personally prefer to pay a more for better ingredients.

Gahhh I have been craving Vietnamese food for a whileeee and Seattle has great options. I'd say I've been chasing the dragon since I visited Houston.. as in.. I've been trying to find Vietnamese restaurants that are on the same level of deliciousness as Houston but honestly you just can't compare to H town lol Anyways, my friends recommended this place if I just want to curb my appetite but said it's not going to be anything phenomenal it's just to finally meet my cravings haha. They were right! I'd say the bun loc was really good though, if you're in a bind to find this difficult to make dumpling haha The other dumplings were really bigggg and flavorful and the other dish was easy to share and very fresh and filling! Overall I enjoyed eating here and I'll probably come back if I'm visiting seattle again to be honest haha

Very good grilled meat and noodle plate (Bánh Hỏi Thập Cẩm) with veggies to make your own lettuce wraps. I like to use a lot of lettuce and herbs so I ordered extra veggies for $2.The staff are really sweet. Hole in the wall vibe with matching neighborhood. The food and price put this place solidly above 4 stars.

VERY SOLID VIETNAMESE RESTAURANT IN THE ID!Another gem in the Little Saigon neighborhood of the ID, Huong Binh has decent Bun Bo Hue. Is it the best BBH I've had? No, but it's solid. Good heat, all the ingredients that come with it (i.e. pork blood and hock) but missing something that I can't really put my finger on. But whatever, I'm a BBH snob. You also can't really complain about prices: with tax and tip, my total was $13.32. I've also had takeout Bun Mang Vit here during the early pandemic days - specifically, the duck noodle soup. Portion was decent, and ingredients were fresh.Overall, not mind-blowing Vietnamese food, but it's delish. Servers are also nice, though maybe a little too nice since last time they let a homeless person use the bathroom and that person never came out by the time I left...yikes!

Food was pretty decent and service was great! Staff were attentive and fast. The man who seated my friend and I took our order made sure we had all the condiments we'd need. He was friendly and made us feel very welcomed. We caught him during his early dinner and observed him stopping to serve customers multiple times including us. We had the Bun Bo Hue (BBH) and spring rolls. The portions were generous, they did not skimp out on the protein in the spring rolls. The BBH came out piping hot, however, my friend and I did agree the soup could've used a bit more flavor but we still enjoyed it! For two bowls of BBH and spring rolls we paid about $42 including tip, which we thought was more than fair! Definitely would visit again to try other dishes!
