Everything was so good! Food, service, location, ambiance, all excellent. We went there as a party of 4 for our friend's birthday and the waiter started us off with the choice of house water. He let us know that they have a team that is set up to serve our table. He then came back with a handwritten birthday card which our friend opened up after the courses. Courses were all perfectly portioned. We all were able to finish all of the courses except the mash potatoes even though we had a light snack for lunch 4 hours before. My favorite were the Waygu ball from the first course and the lobster soup.

03-Aug-2024This is our 3rd year choosing Huntress as the restaurant to spend our wedding anniversary. This is year 8 for us and we couldn't be happier. What we like most at Huntress is the 6 course meal where we both get to enjoy some of the best menu options in smaller portions, but by the end of the meal we were very full and satisfied. We really love the bread! Rain (excuse the spelling) was our server who led a trio of 3 very nice people who delivered each course throughout the night. We love the delicious bread that comes with specialty butters. The steak was cooked to perfection and the desert was delectable.Huntress is known for their 125 Japanese Whiskey options by the bottle, but the ambiance and delicious foods make this steakhouse even more unique. If you want to enjoy a wonderful evening as a couple or small group of friends then Huntress is certainly worth putting on the list of places to try. It is not cheap, so plan to pay for the food and exceptional service. It's truly worth it!Thanks,Ashley & Lindsey HeadSan Diego, CA

Stopped in for a second Happy Hour and glad we did. Enjoyed the Two in the Bush (blackberry shrub with Tequila) and the Day Break (Suntory Gin) as well as the Iwai Old Fashioned. Gem salad wasn't bad, but we really loved the flavor of the Lobster Curry soup. It's a small serving but a good amount of lobster and super flavorful curry broth. Served in a cute bowl too. Would def order again at $10 for HH. Finally, Steak Frites was super salty for my taste. I only had a couple bites and couldn't really eat much more. Fries were good, though. Would def pay them another visit for HH to try the salmon bites, gnocchi mac and cheese, hamachi Crudo, steak tartare and the Katsu Sandwich. Love the variety they offer and not your typical bar food either.

COMICCON MENU(3 stars)- FOOD: just ok - PRICE: pricy for what you get- SERVICE: very poor- AMBIANCE: nice... "the Super Lunch".Nothing super about my meal. Didn't receive anything ComicCon related on my plate. I did see orders of the Katsu and Burger from the Super Lunch and was thrown off - burger looked amazing and plentiful, so did the Katsu but the size looked tiny. I didn't know what to expect when I got my Sandwhich only to be appreciative of the size but disappointed in the overall bite. :: ORDER ::HERB ROASTED PRIME RIB SANDWICH ($22) - salsa verde aldil, baby arugula, pickled sweet peppers, served with french fries. I'll give it to them, the size of the meal was plenty and could have easily been split for two semi-hungry people. But the taste was basic and ok. It did its job, feed a hungry person in the middle of ComicCon'ing. The sandwich wasn't what you expect when you read "prime rib", it was most like "roast beef". The sandwich was very dry, no Au Jus was served and wasn't too into the pickled sweet peppers. I prefer regular pickles or something savory over sweet peppers. Fries were fries, nothing special. For the steak house to execute a prime rib Sandwhich as that... makes me not even want to come back and try a steak from this Steakhouse. SHOOT TO KILL ($17) - topped with an edible Comic tattoo, hendrick's gin, amaro nonino, falernum, strawberry shiso shrub, lemon, egg white. WHERE WAS MY "EDIBLE COMIC TATTOO"???! I got nothing but white foam and ORANGE-BROWN SKID-MARK. I love gin cocktails so this was the selected and will say the drink was greater than the food. But the drink itself was just ok... nothing amazing. RECOMMEND:: SERVICE ::SUCKED. Sat at the bar area because it was better than waiting around for a table. Mind you, it was Day #1 of Comic Con at high noon and not all tables or bar seats were filled. Busy but not packed. The bar tender was doing his best as a solo bar tender. But there was this other guy behind the bar... bar manager? Whoever and whatever he was, he was lazy. Did the minimum, rinse glass wear. Can't even get a glass of water even though he said he will get you a glass of water. Had to ask him multiple times even when he was right infront and he said yes I'll get it. It's like he had dementia. Help the bar tender, do something instead of occupying dead space in the bar area. Most likely won't be back. If they can't do a Prime Rib Sandwhich right and the service sucked for a high-end Steak place, it's not encouraging to come back.Until the next review...

Checked this place out during their happy hour and was not disappointed at all! Ryan was our bartender and this guy was on point! We had a fantastic experience, from the food to the ambiance to the delicious cocktails, everything is done very well here. Had to do a whiskey flight of course, and that did not disappoint at all. The happy hour apps we had were so good, the parkerhouse rolls were out of this world! The oysters were killer also! We'll definitely be back for a full on dinner soon!

We stopped in for a light dinner. Lobster soup with parker house rolls. The butter trio was superb. Soup was rich. Service was great! We started with a half dozen Baja oysters that were ultra fresh and sweet.Dessert "mushroom" was the star of the night.

Elegant bar with great drinks! The Easy Prey with pandan, makrut lime, and coconut was so smooth and delicious! Priced well at $11 too. I was a walk in on a Sunday with no wait. It's a steakhouse but they do have a sushi spot on the rooftop called Lumi (4th floor). Restrooms are on the 2nd & 3rd floors.

This is my 2nd time going to Huntress! I saw the restaurant on InKind and wanted to give it a try since I had credits anyways! Overall, I'd give Huntress a 4.75/5 stars, near perfect: Service: Both times I've come I've had a reservation and was seated immediately. Amazing service each time - the first time I went, our server James was so welcoming and was always so attentive. He gave great recommendations and even gave me complementary steak sauces and the corn flake dessert as I came in to celebrate recently graduating. Very knowledgeable and love that the staff box up your leftovers for you. They also get you new plates and make sure your table is spotless. Second time I came I believe we had Paulina who I believed was being trained. Very kind and we had a lot of other staff who checked up on us as well. Overall, love the service and would come back just for the pleasant experience again. Ambiance: Very spacious restaurant and the tables are nice and big for multiple dishes! The bar area is super pretty - bathroom is located upstairs and is clean as wellFood: MUST TRY - Brioche w/ 3 butters: I liked 2/3 butters, but that bread is so tasty, buttery, and warm - Truffle Steak Fries: the texture is almost like that of a tater tot and a hash brown combined into a fry shape - so good! Crispy outside and fluffy inside - Oysters on the half shell: super fresh, comes with cocktail sauce, this shallot sauce, lime, and a little thing of Tabasco Other: - Crab Spaghetti: perfectly al dente and lots of crab, creamy sauce - a bit too lemony for my taste both times - Dessert: fun and relatively yummy, the mushroom presentation is great - not missing out on much I would say - worth a try though - Steak: I forgot what I got the first time but the 2nd time was the dry aged New York - all good, well worth it Overall, great restaurant and I'd highly recommend for a special occasion or just to treat yourself out

Huntress provides a mash up of high-end steakhouse and downtown club all within the same space. Top quality meats meet top volume bass. This place tends to get a wee bit busy and without a reservation, you could very well find yourself waiting at the bar for an ever-elusive open table. Plan ahead: make a reservation.Service was friendly and prompt, whiskey flowed plentifully and yours truly ordered a dry-aged New York 16oz. It was super flavorful, nice and rare and set me back $75 but you only live once.Overall good times were had, it's not a cheap date but it's good for an occasion and if you're hard of hearing, you may struggle a hit with the music but hey, welcome to downtown. I'd go back.

This fine dining restaurant is really nice, even while dining in their outside seating, they have plenty of heaters to keep you warm and comfortable. Their inside seating is very elegant with nice bar areas in both of their 1st and 2nd floors. This place is what you expect to be in with the amount of money you will spend! But enough with the looks of the restaurant, let's get into their food! The steak I got was mid tier at best. I asked for a medium rare steak and I was served a well done steak. Although the steak did not taste bad, and I ate most of it (cause I was starving) I've had better steaks at Salt Grass for the same price or cheaper. I also ordered the thousand layered potato that was honestly forgettable. It was meh nothing crazy but nothing to match the price. My friend ordered the Lobster curry and loved it! They had no complaints, at first it doesn't look like it'll fill you up but it sure does. The bread was actually very good, it comes out with 3 different types of butter, all very different and delicious. The drinks were all good. The service was excellent, the waitress was helpful in describing the foods in the menu and the specials of the day. She did a great job helping me select a wine and the bus boys were above par on cleaning the table and bringing everything out in a timely manner for us.
