As far as delicious, quick and classic Chinese food goes, Hunan Spring hits it out of the park. I was honestly shocked to see the mediocre reviews. They were a very easy go-to spot for take-out during covid. Online ordering and pick up was a breeze! Now that dine-in is back, I continue to support this business. Service is fast and the food is affordable. The restaurant is very clean and the tables are distanced well. Whenever I'm craving Chinese cuisine, this is a place I can lean on. It's not anything super fancy, just greasy and reliable. Some of my favorite choices are the crab rangoon, general tso's chicken, and any of the lo meins. The entrees come with white rice and the portions are pretty hefty. Whenever I order take-out, I know I'll have leftovers to last the next few days. Definitely give it a try!

A very long overdue review, but Hunan Spring is my favorite place to go for Chinese food in Evanston. I'm lucky enough to live essentially right next door, and when I want something quick and delicious, there they are! I especially appreciate the lunch specials. About $10 will get you an entree, side of fried rice (which I sometimes sub for white rice), and your choice of eggroll or soup. I usually have enough left over for a second meal later.The owners are extremely nice, food is fresh and delicious, and service has always been very quick for me. Very highly recommend Hunan Spring!
