I never thought I would do this but my 20 year run at Hunan Palace might be at an end. We went in on a Friday night. It was us and another table only. I always order the combination C which is Mongolian beef, chow Mein, egg foo young with gravy and fried rice. Normally this dish is very good. This time not so much. The dish arrived in an adequate amount of time. That's where normalcy departed. The egg foo young was so overcooked it was as hard as a hockey puck. I could not cut it with a fork and the outer part was so hard the fork tines would not stick. I noticed the Chow Mein had an odd odor and taste. I figured out it was scorched/burned to the point of being inedible. My wife's was the same way. Very disappointed. Oh the rice didn't show up until I was already put off my game. We brought it to the server's attention and she agreed it was all inedible but was anything removed from the bill? BIG FAT NEGATIVE, Ghost Rider. I've been going to Hunan Palace a very long time but the last 2-3 years I've noticed things slipping. I think there has been a personnel turn over as well because I haven't seen any familiar faces there in quite a while. If I do go back it will be to see if this experience was a one-off but I'm not hopeful. There are better options to spend my money on.

Once again just stopped by to pick up my order to go. Due to construction it's a bit tricky to get to the restaurant but found my way in through the hotel parking lot. Once arrived was greeted with a nice warm welcome. Food was ready and still hot like maybe just walked out before I pulled up. Curry Chicken no rice and a side of Spring Roll's. Food is awesome flavor and fresh.

This is a great local Chinese Restaurant and Lounge! Most known for "Larry's Karaoke Nights" on Friday + Saturday (9pm-1am). It's been in downtown Everett for 20+ years! The food is great, drinks are strong, and the crowd is fun. Worth swinging by to sing your favorite song and enjoy a rum+coke. The DJ/Host (Larry) may hand you an inflatable guitar in the middle of your song's guitar solo, so you better be ready to rock out! Oh, and a large parking lot is attached to the lounge.

A Groupon purchase is the reason my wife and I stopped into Hunan for dinner.Plenty of free parking can be found in the parking lot. Visa and MasterCard are the only accepted credit cards. On the day of our visit Hunan was almost completely empty. It appears that Hunan receives several to-go orders from the patrons staying at the hotel next door.My wife and I decided to sit in the bar. Hunan offers a full bar, pull tabs and karaoke. Draft beer selection is poor. Two beers are on draft, Mac & Jack's and Goose Island's IPA. The IPA tap was out of order. Off to a bad start. My wife ordered a pint of Mac & Jack and I ordered a glass of house red wine (Sutter Home) for $4.75 each. Our server who was non-existent was unable to draw pull tabs for us. Only the owner is allowed to draw pull tabs. When I was able to actually visually see our server, she was glued to her phone. My wife and I each ordered the complete Szechuan Dinner for $14.25 each. Our meal included: hot & sour soup, egg roll, BBQ pork, General Tso's chicken, sweet & sour shrimp, Mongolian beef and pork fried rice. We each enjoyed our meal selection. Servings were plentiful and pricing was reasonable.Overall, Hunan did not meet my service level expectations. The extremely limited draft beer choices is disappointing. I do not foresee ever dining at Hunan again with or without a Groupon voucher.

My wife was meet my daughter and granddaughter for lunch and asked if I wanted to join them you bet! When we arrived the restaurant was pretty empty only three other customers we rang the bell at the hostess station like the sign asked us to and waited not real long but a bit, after the second ding a waiter saw us as he was bringing out orders for the first customers. Also it was so cold in the dining area so much so we kept our coats on throughout lunch. My wife prefers Americanized Chinese food so see was happy with the menu selections, the menu is pretty substantial so I can find something I like too. My wife went with the chicken chow mien with crispy noodles, granddaughter chose the sweet and sour chicken, daughter got the broccoli beef, and I went with combo B which comes with mandarin chicken wings, which actually were the drumets, chicken chow mien, sweet and sour shrimp and pork fried rice. My girls ordered from the lunch menu and my selection was from the dinner choices. I didn't know that you got fried rice and a small egg roll with the lunch items and for 7 or 8 dollars that's not a bad deal the portions were good sized. We also had an egg drop soup as our starter almost forgot. Now when my order came out it was pretty good sized the "wings " almost drum sticks are juicy and spicy. The chicken chow mien is mainly vegetables but it was fine as were the pork fried rice and the sweet and sour shrimp. All in all we'll probably be back as this is one of my wife favorite places for lunch hope it's warmer next time

Just ordered from here through UE. Food was edible, but that's the best that can be said. Pretty bland and not great. Weirdest part was instead of a fortune cookie I got two tiny pieces of a bagel wrapped in a coffee filter? No idea what that's about.
