Humble Bean Cafe

When we walked in at the lunch hour, there were only 2 other patrons there, who had seemingly been there for a while and not waiting for food or drinks... but the cashier barely looked up. When we greeted her, she lifted up her phone so we could see that she was on it while still talking to us... so rude. Additionally, she had super long nails that definitely make me uncomfortable in food service.I asked for a breakfast burrito without cheese, but they make them in advance so that wasn't possible. I got an avocado bagel instead. It was a bagel that was covered in avocado slices that were approximately 0.05 inches or 1.5 mm thick each. Taste was fine, but what a rip off.

Maybe it was an off day but super disappointed by our experience here. The coffee was good, I'll give them that and it is a cafe so that's important but the rest of it was a big letdown. The person taking the order really struggled and didn't know much about any of the items on the menu. It was painful to order. I got the egg bites seeing that it was 2 for $8 so I got a turkey and a spinach thinking that it was mix&match. It was not and we unknowingly ordered and paid for 4 for $16. Arguable whose fault that is but it was questionable whether we were going to get our order right to begin with so I didn't push. For starters they were out of a lot of items on the food menu. We ended up ordering the burrito, pesto provolone english muffin and egg bites. The burrito was cold.The pesto provolone english muffin was fine but kind of sad as it was clearly just reheated which seems unnecessary given it's literally just pesto spread and a slice of cheese.. this can be thrown together and toasted in just as much time. Obviously getting 4 egg bites instead of 2 was a surprise... but 2 of them were cold so we ended up only being able to eat 2 anyway. The salsa was probably the best thing they had.In the end, left really bummed that we were out $50 (this did include a bag of beans in full transparency) for an overall really unsatisfying breakfast. They were nice enough and the place is cute and the bathroom is nice...but we won't be coming back unfortunately. The pesto provolone english muffin was fine but

I tried the desert road latte and it was great! The flavors were balanced and the drink was not too sweet. I also got the green chile breakfast burrito with green salsa. The burrito was tasty and very filling. The staff were very friendly and had quick service. The inside is small but a great place to work or study.

Oh what a Humble Spot! Humble Bean Cafe is smooth, sophisticated flavor, with secret menu offerings that tantalize and please the palet. Ask for the rose matcha coffee brewed hot or iced! Great vibes. Bring a laptop and hang with the regulars. Some items sell out too!

Can't wait to go back! Tried the tiramisu latte and loved it. Delicious flavor and definitely woke me up. Best friend liked her Toffee iced coffee. Very friendly service from Alejandra! Cute little shop.

Coffee was decent but nothing stood out about it, we got the tiramisu latte tasted a little more like a mocha than anything. I wanted to try some of the pastry's or breakfast sandwiches but they only had a couple pastry's on display and I think they might have been short staffed only one person was working (all the chairs were still staked on the tables too) and there was people behind us so didn't want to make the wait longer for anyone else. It was a cute place and the service was friendly.

It was okay. There wasn't a ton of cafes in this area so I'm glad it was there. I got a smoothie and it was alright.

Cute little coffee shop near Mission Bay! I ordered online and took my coffee over to the bay for a walk :) the staff were friendly and the prices are good. I tried the Iced sugar free vanilla latte and it was pretty good - will definitely be going back soon!
