Humberto's Taco Shop

April 1st was National Burrito Day. I was heading up Grand and decided to do my part and grab a burrito. I have passed this place a gazillion times and finally decided to hit up the drive thru. I pulled up to the window and the lady took my order. As per usual, when I go to a new taco shop, I went with a California Burrito and a Beef Taco. Total was just above $13.00 which is a tad steep, but if the food was good, it would be worth it. Here is how they were..............Beef Taco- This taco had THE most cheese I have ever seen on a beef taco. The taco itself was average size but the cheese was piled high. I appreciated that. Good crisp shell, good shredded beef, cool crisp lettuce and a plethora of cheese. Solid beef taco! California Burrito- This thing was massive! It was stuffed with carne asada, cheese, potatoes and guacamole. The carne asada was cooked fresh on the flat top and had a nice little char/crisp to it but was still tender. Really good carne asada. The potatoes were cubed chunks that were a little bit soft. I prefer crispy potatoes in my Californias. The guacamole was good! The best part about this burrito though might have been the little grilled onions they use inside of their pico. They dice up the onions super small, and grill/sautee them. It added a little sweetness to the burrito and it was delicious. Really good CA burrito! Overall, solid 4 stars. The girl at the counter was nice and friendly, and the food was pretty legit. A bit steep at $15.00 (including tip), but if I am on Grand again, and craving a burrito, I would definitely come back.

Great little hole in the wall Mexican fast food place. Nothing special but the food is tasty and they are consistent. The prices are low and the food is so filling. Try the menudo on the weekends and the house made lemonade. I REALLY wish they would right down my order so they don't have to ask me multiple times what I ordered and so they don't forget things. But I guess that's part of the charm of this El Mirage staple. 9/10 recommend and will be back!

This is my favorite place to stop by whenever I'm in El Mirage. The nice young man at the counter named Nico, was helpful with suggesting items for me to try. He suggested I get the ceviche. I'm glad I listened to Nico! I was happy with the portion size & all the flavor of my ceviche tostada.

Recently had their Adobada Burrito & I have to admit it was on point, this is usually my go to burrito but they can be hit or miss at other spots but they're is propa here. So they're open till 3 on Saturdays but still not 24hrs like they advertise on their street sign!

Started coming here since 2007 when we bought our vacay home in Surprise. 15 years years later we eat here daily on vacay. The Tacos are to die for and red hot sauce I can drink it lol.

I ordered a carne asada burrito. I told the guy no piko and it's like I told him to add extra piko the tortilla was over cooked and crunchy .......the roll tacos were OK

This place right here is a diamond in the rough I was a little nervous about stoping her for breakfast but I was hungry and life's a risk carnal so I said f*** it let's give it try and to my surprise this place was amazing I had the pineapple agua fresca a tostada de ceviche and two tacos de tripa (thanks for the recommendation to the girl working the counter) the tripas were nice and crispy just like I like them and the ceviche is so goodIt'll cure any hangover the tacos had guacamole and pico de Gallo it the perfect combo for that taco with a nice warm tortilla this spot most definitely made my must have list I'll be returning soon to try the menudo it looked delicious

The best carnitas hands down! The taquitos seem to be frozen. But the carnitas is fresh fresh. Will be back to those carnitas tacos all the time!

The food is great but the fact they take your order without writing anything down is an incredible service.Keep up the great work.

Stumbled upon this little piece of heaven while having tires replaced at a nearby shop. We went to a nearby thrift store and over heard people talking about Humberto's.Since we would have a 2 hour wait why not try Humberto's for lunch. So happy we did. This is the real deal Mexican food. They offer a full menu, dine-in or drive-through.The crew is happy, pleasant and really love their establishment. We ended up loving our lunch, the burritos are huge and taco's are to die for. We even went the next day for lunch again and got take-out so we would have leftovers. Thank you Humberto's, you made these two Gringo's feel so very welcome.
