This is my favorite breakfast place in Seattle. Why?1. Good sized portions2. Food is great3. Full bar, if you want an alcoholic drink4. Same full bar means no kids (I like kids, but what adult doesn't like to have a place that is screaming kid free? 5. Very inclusive restaurant.6. Fun, friendly banter with the staffWhen I ask friends to meet me there, if they are available, it is always a yes.

It's been a minute since we've pilgrimaged to this excellent 21+ brunch establishment. On a busy Sunday, the staff was still cool and accommodating, despite being pretty slammed. It didn't disappoint despite a long wait (for 5top) it's easier if you're looking for seats at the bar or the smaller tables. It's just not a very large space. Hipster precious Rugrats do not need mimosa brunch, lol it's so great its 21+ only here! My husband and I love to order the spicy bloody Mary that comes with the Shorty beer. We also usually stick with whatever the breakfast special is and it's always tasty! Their hashbrowns are perfect crispy crunch and the portions are just right, till next time.

For being in a random place away from anything really functional, this tavern has really great breakfast. We came at opening on a Sunday and there were people lined up waiting for the doors to open. We got seated and given menus straight away, and were enjoying watching the staff interact with the regulars in such a friendly fashion. Our reception was lukewarm, but it was fine for us.We ordered the Bowl of Grits and Francesca Scramble, and neither of us were disappointed. Both dishes had us all but licking the dishes clean. It was so delicious. Just don't bother with the toast, it was basically a cracker that is intended only to be smothered in jelly. We were in and out in less than 45 minutes which was awesome!

I love Hudson. Open now for brunch, it's a 21+ venue with hearty and generous portions. There are comfy booths and lots of seating at the bar. The bartender is extremely friendly and the food is downright addictive. I got the shrimp and cheesy grits this time and it did not disappoint. I practically licked my plate clean, it was so freaking delicious. I usually have to add hot sauce to my grits, but this one had a great kick of spiciness and was prepared perfectly. I love how the menu has a touch of Cajun, and although I've only been here twice, I definitely consider it one of my favorite places to eat

I honestly didn't expect too much from this place, but it's charming, old style and a mix of Midwest and PNW just a couple miles from downtown Seattle. We didn't have usual breakfast items, but tried two of their sandwiches - patty melt with some cheese grits and brisket with fries on the side. I wasn't impressed much with fries at all, but the sandwiches were awesome and HUGE. Keep in mind, prices here are similar to what you get at other mainstream places, but the portions are just essentially larger.

The service was amazing. It was busy on a Sunday morning so the servers were going a mile a minute and still had the most positive attitude. I love the concept of self serve coffee bar at the reception so you can enjoy a cup whilst you wait then can take it to your table and continue enjoying your coffee. Our server was a star. I forgot his name. He came to check up on us from time to time and did a great job keeping up with the crowd. The drinks are priced reasonably and tasted yummy with a punch. I ordered the chicken fried steak and eggs and so glad I did! The biscuits and gravy had a sausage gravy, different gravy than the chicken fried steak. I preferred the chicken fried steak gravy. The club sandwich was a treat. A simple sandwich executed so well.

Can't beat the food here, everything is super fresh and well done. No apps on the menu but great sandwiches and salads. Got the brisket po boy, love the bread and merry cheese. Fish sandwich was excellent fried cod, 2 pieces of fish perfectly cooked, the tarter sauce was excellent. The fries were fresh cut (not frozen), and I got a side of ranch, which also was outstanding and homemade too. When the sauces are that good, the rest is obvious... parking is easy, casual sort of bar/diner-ish atmosphere, clean bathrooms, it's a small place so you might have to wait, food comes out fast, everyone's is very friendly, prices are good. No extra restaurant charges on bill. Definitely recommend.

Ok, checked this out this weekend. 21+ establishment. There is an escape room next door.Pros:*Free coffee while waiting*free parking - street parking and two spots in front *The chicken fried steak is yummy but a tad heavy on the pepper. * Sister ordered manmosa and didn't like it and they did an exchange for regular mimosa.Cons:*full party needs to be present to being seated*Chicken fried steak was yummy but had a lot more pepper than I'm use too (I'm from the Deep South/Bible Belt). We had shrimp and grits, chicken fried steak, manmimosa, regular mimosa. Top five places for a chicken fried steak in Seattle.

COMFORT FOOD DINER with full bar in SODOCoffee was pretty good for a diner. This was a Sunday morning and we were a party of five. I ordered a Bloody Mary and was surprised when it showed up with a "shorty" bottle of Miller Highlife. When I asked the waitress about it, I was informed that it comes with the bloody "as a backup...". OK then. I ordered the Huevos rancheros. It was very good and came with a side of hash browns. Everyone else in my party seemed to enjoy their meals and so I can heartily recommend this place for breakfast/brunch. Cheers.
