Hudson & Alphonse deli

A+ experience. Super friendly, and the Sham-Sham probably the best cheesesteak I've had in ATL. I was a little apprehensive about the kale on a sandwich, but it fit right in with the chopped steak, cheese & onions & peppers. The hot sauce is right up my alley, similar to a sweet Thai chili sauce giving the sandwich some sweet with the savory,The macaroni salad is great, and the banana pudding is next level. My wife got the Uncle Frank's Chop chicken, and it's as great as steak. I'm beyond impressed. We loved it! We'll be back often.

The young man/owner/chef served my meal with a smile and was very pleasant. There is few street parking and also a few spots directly in front of the deli. I called and placed my order and was told it would be ready in 20 minutes, I arrived at the communicated pick up time and still had to wait about 15 minutes. It didn't appear he had started my order. Maybe he wasn't sure I would come, not sure but it took longer than expected. The food was packaged well and still warm when I arrived home. I had the Jack's Fish Market. Pan Seared Wild Caught Salmon Finished in a Garlic Butter Baste on a bed of Kale w/ Sauteed Peppers, Onions, & Mushrooms in a sub. I believe I requested it spicy, however it was on the sweeter side. The sandwich was good, I personally prefer spicy over sweeter seafood dishes. I'm not sure I would order this again unless I get a guarantee that it would have a decent spice level. With that said, I still recommend you support this small black owned business. I plan on stopping by again and trying a different sandwich.

First time visiting this place last night, and the food was amazing. I like how I was able to try the different sauces before selecting which one to use for my meal. I went with the Pretty Boy Veggie, and also got the pineapple pudding which was very good. Looking forward to coming back great service and food.

Calling The Sham Sham for Best cheese steak in Atlanta! Great veggie options too, like the Susan B. Take away only, but comfortable seating area in front. Check menu and tap on door to place order. Sunny gave us a Boss Sauce tasting before we had to commit. Go here now.

I highly recommend a visit to Hudson and Alphonse!! I had the steak sandwich and macaroni salad and it was incredible!! I tore the food UP!! Cooked with love the sandwich was well seasoned and steak chopped to perfection. The macaroni salad tasted like what my family makes. This will be a regular go-to spot for me. The owner Sonny is very hospitable and really takes care of his customers. This is a local business that I will regularly support. Go check it out!

This place was amazing! When people say everything happens for a reason,this is one of those times. Water outage basically shut down downtown Atlanta, so searched for what my daughter was craving and we found this place. Friendly and helpful service and now have had our best steak sandwich EVER! Go and support local small businesses whenever traveling, something we have done for years and our passing down our kids.

Hidden gem. Highly recommend it, sandwich is incredible, and the owner is awesome! 10/10 would advise you to try this place if you live near or far. Probably the best in Atl if you want a cheesesteak or chicken cheesesteak. Lived in Philly for 6 years and this tops it IMO.

Best salmon sub I've had in ATL. The food was hot and SUPER flavorful. The owner was friendly and super personable. The place is small, so you will have to wait and eat outside or in your car (the food is too good to wait until you get to your destination).

Tucked away in the Summerhill, Hudson and Alphonse is that sub spot everyone wishes they had on their block, especially since they use only halal meats and wild-caught fish. Arguably the best cheese steak in Atlanta. Everything is so good it feels like a secret handshake into Atlanta's foodie circle. Every sub I've tried from the Salmon to the chicken, has been delicious with mindful selections and made fresh to order. Alphonse, right behind the counter, is not just making subs but crafting moments. It's the spot where the cheese melts perfectly, the steak melts like butter, and every visit feels like catching up with an old friend. Alphonse and his spot stand out in a city teeming with places to eat by keeping it simple, delicious, and downright homey, making it a must-visit for anyone looking for a guilt-free, flavor-packed meal. No doubt, top 10 in Atlanta. Don't sleep.

Wasn't for sure if this place was really open. I have driven pass many of times & never paid it attention. Today I searched for steak subs near me & this gem popped up. I called to verify & the gentleman that answered had amazing customer service. He advised I could txt my order or place it online. I placed it on the phone with him...he was just so cool! I ordered 2 steak subs with mild boss sauce, everything on it...he uses kale instead of lettuce which I love bc it's more alkaline. I get there & he was still preparing my order. Cut this short, he brings the food out with samples of his other sauces...now I'm so excited to try this. LISTEN this sub was AMAZING! Everything was genuinely fresh & halal. I ate the entire thing & did not feel overstuffed. I will definitely be returning!!! Check him out! Tell him Blondee sent you
