We ordered a variety of dishes like fried pork, sweet sour shrimp, shrimp fried rice, jjajangmyeon, vinegary wide glass noodles, and whatever else I'm forgetting. Solid spot for Chinese Korean dishes. Fried shrimp and pork were crispy and flavorful. Surprisingly a lot of shrimp in the fried rice. Proper texture/chew on the rice and noodle dishes. Good portion for price. No issues with service. Restaurant has its own parking lot.

Helpful place and friendly service and great food! Booths and open space and lots of dining in open space. Amazing egg rolls. And wonderful wonton soup with healthy pieces of pork. I went easy on my visit today. It was mostly to supplement some leftover Chinese food from another place. On previous visits I've gotten the amazing egg rolls and great Mongolian beef.

I'm so happy to have learned about this spot. They have all the good normal Chinese dishes like orange chicken, Mongolian beef, etc, but I came specifically for the Korean Chinese dishes, jjajangmyun and tangsooyook. This is the best jjajangmyun I've had in the city in a long time. The tangsooyook (which is a Korean Chinese version of sweet and sour beef) was also on point, so crispy and delicious. These dishes are comfort food to me and they were done so well here, really made me so happy tonight. Service was excellent and the pricing is very fair. We will be back very soon!!! They have free parking, but the restaurant is also surrounded by pay to park spots if needed.

The General Tso chicken is spectacular, wish it was offered as a lunch special. They bring oolong tea to the table, which is super nice as well.

House of Wah Sun is yum yum. This new spot took over the old 24 hr nugget, but it didn't do much to remodel the interior, but the food makes up for the decor. Having the Kung Pao Chicken was a delight. It had a spicey kick in every bight! The portion size was nice too! The staff was quick and they start you off with a nice tea. This is a great new addition to the "hood.

I love House of Wah Sun! The prices look high but the portions are huge even when split with another person. I loved the spicy beef. Lots of interesting Asian beers on the menu as well. Free hot tea and wonderful service too. The service was friendly and efficient. The Moo Shu pork was also excellent. The subgum Wonton was a house special. It was delicious. In my opinion, this place is the best Chinese food spot in the city. Very accommodating with substitutions, and service is amazing. Highly recommend this place for quality and excellent Chinese food menu.

Service was great. The food was tasty and seasoned so good, we.didn't need to add nothing. The waiter was very knowledgeable about the menu, he made suggestions after asking what we liked.I see why the Mongolian beef is popular and the combination rice is a menu highlight. General Tso chicken and veggie egg roll were decent. Overall our dinner experience was enjoyable.

We ordered for the first and the last time. We had eggrolls that were so so. The crab ragoon tasted off, and the chow fun noodles with chicken were like eating rubber noodles. Spend your money somewhere else.

If one could give six stars - I would. I have been going to the House of Wah Sun since 1987. This restaurant holds a special place in my and my family's hearts as when our kids were growing up - we would go here - regularly. The food is good solid Chinese [Mandarin and Schezwan] cuisine. The ambiance is very homey and warm. The service is of particular note. Shortly after 911 [2001] a waitress named Kim began working there...about this time our family would show up - sometimes numbering 15 or 20 which included a handful of young grandkids. Kim set up a special table for the grandkids - which endeared her to them and us [the parents]. She treated the grand kids like honored guests.I am both grateful and fortunate to have a place such as House of Sun Wah to visit to have a meal. I wanted to share this feeling and experience with others.Doug KKim is still at House of Wah Sun as is many of the staff. The current owner is only the second owner - since they opened in 1947. He took over in 2001.I've been getting their hot and sour soup [which I sometimes order take out when I am ill, as medicine] and egg rolls and Mongolian Beef - although I've had many things on the menu. Solid menu indeed.
