Had a day off, was craving an Indian buffet. I haven't been to an Indian buffet since the place near Berklee was closed down after the Great Recession. Searched high and low on the internet for Indian buffet in the city of Boston. I couldn't find one, other than Cambridge. I wasn't in the mood to deal with Cambridge traffic in September or anytime really.A result from Reddit, people searching for Indian buffets, a whole post for people like me. Someone mentioned House of Tandoor in Newton. SOLD!I parked for 1 dollar in the municipal lot around the corner and went in. I was surprised it was so quiet! But the food was absolutely DELICIOUS. I'm on a weight loss drug so I only ate one plate and half the naan, and it was so delicious. The naan was super hot and made for the table. I got only veggie items. It was all soooo good. I'll be coming here again for sure. So delicious! Indian lunch buffet is life, am I right or am I right?

I LOVE Indian buffets and lament their post covid disappearance. 100% as expected, since there's a great standard across the industry for this specific food Buffett. Service was sweet and attentive, though not much is needed for a buffet. The best part is leaving their carafe of water for self refilling, which I wish more restaurants did. ( waiting for a water refill is THE most maddening !)Charming location in Newton Centre's 'Piccadilly' section that runs along Union street/behind Beacon and is directly across from the storybook charming ORIGINAL 1890's green line station. Parking is essentially fine, though Newton centre is a bit tricky some times to find a spot ... which indicates what a sweet shopping district it is! There's actually MORE cool, boutiques 'back' in Piccadilly than in the main triangle , but the back side is so easy to forget. Make the effort to cruise down Union street more often to remind yourself of the treasures in Piccadilly !Since there are so few Indian buffets left, I'll be going out of my way to return!REVIEW #2!Could not wait to return, and today's the day! Better than 12 days ago! So many interesting selections. I LOVE this place. It's most definitely on my short list of future lunches.

Oh my kebab!!! This may be a new go to favorite of mine! Just for the chicken kebabs alone - which were astonishingly tender juicy flavorful yummylicious! Ordered delivery through Grubhub - after having tried some of this food at work when we had a catered lunch at the office. Food was so good and I'm glad I asked where it came from! So tonight when I had a craving for Indian food, decided to try them out.Order came in a reasonable amount of time.Prices for entrees are a bit high but the portions are quite good. Dal maharani was creamy delicious. Aloo gobhi was fresh and tasty, goat curry meat was tender and sauce was rich and savory. All entrees come with basmati rice. Chicken biryani was fragrant and flavorful. Aloo chaat papri was crunchy sour and sweet. Plain naan was ok a bit chewy. And surprise surprise the order came with the complimentary papad - which you always get in the restaurant but never in delivery from any restaurant and I've ordered from quite a few Indian restaurants. That is a mystery this has never been solved so I was quite pleased to see the papads.I devoured the food and was so full and we have plenty of leftovers for hubs and me to enjoy over the next few days. Try it if you have not already and if nothing else then go for the chicken kebab :)

Excellent food. Ordered through a local app and got these lunch (or could eat for dinner) containers that are made up of leftovers from their lunch buffet. It is a surprise what you get, which is fun since I am open to trying new things and don't have any food allergies to worry about. I was delighted with everything that was in my to-go box and you couldn't beat it for the price. I popped right in and showed them my confirmation and they handed me my order. I will 100% be back! I would even go here during the actual lunch buffet, the food was so tasty and I would like to see what else they offer. Great value for what you get.

Wow ! Thai food was amazing . I got the butter chicken , that came with rice and bread . Their amazing sauces fire . The mango yogurt drink , amazing . The service was excellent. The vibe is friendly and welcoming. They have a buffet from Monday -- Friday from 12:00 - 2:30pm. . It has a rather large selection; I included the pictures below of the buffet . They have a clear sign outside but you have to walk down a set of stairs to the restaurant. They have indoor and outdoor seating on their patio . I have included the pictures below .

I just ordered takeout but wow when you step into this restaurant you feel like you're in a traditional Indian restaurant. This restaurant is conveniently located across very close to the Newton Center T stop in Piccadilly Square. I was starving and had the Chicken Tikka Masala, Vegetable Pakora, and Saag Paneer. Each dish was delicious! Obviously with all this food and just me I had leftovers of each dish but sadly didn't get myself enough naan. I can't speak to the service for dining in but the gentleman who gave me my food was very nice. I also cannot stress how tasty this food was! When I go back and dine in person, I'm sure I'll have more positive things to say about this place.

The place has a warm, lovely, simple decor, quiet ambiance. The service was attentive and kind. We had the lunch buffet. Everything was delicious-- and we tried everything! My family was there to please my taste (I really like Indian cuisine) but we ALL enjoyed and went to try more foods after their first plate. It's definitely going to be a regular stop for us! The plus was it's reasonable priced, too.

First time eating here and they have a delicious lunch buffet, which my friend ordered, and I ordered a vegan Indian dish, recommended by our server, Apersha. She was so helpful and friendly it brought a tear in my eye of how kind people can be, and she was quite beautiful!
