What an asshole. We were a group of 5 visiting wineries in SODO Seattle after just having spent 6 days in Napa and 4 in San Luis Obispo. Brendan or Brennon? Not sure what a condescending jerk and he made fun of his boss. Wine were great but weird offputting experience. GO to Latta or Paterson for a much better experience.

I stumbled on this place in my daily travels. I decided to stop in and hopefully have a tasting. Maybe by a bottle or two if the wine is good. I ended up there from 2:30pm until they closed their doors. The staff was welcoming and super friendly. I only wish that I was good with names( I will one day) because the staff there makes me want to frequent there way more often. I took my older sister that has physical limitations to the release party on September 9th 23. The staff bent over backwards to find a chair for me to take around with me so that she had a place to sit at every station. That went a long way in my book. You have a loyal customer in me and you have really great wines. The atmosphere and the number of barrels and wine in the back is astounding. Thank you for everything! you'll See me often!. PS: Again, your staff is amazing!!

Did I become a wine club member on my very first visit? Yes. Yes I did. Because the wines are that good. The tasting room is located in Georgetown across from the king county airport. It also has a small parking lot in front for your convenience. There are two spacious levels inside so you can choose your ambiance. Both have floor to ceiling windows facing the airport so you can watch planes land while you sip your wine. The lower level has high-top tables with chairs the while the upper level has benches with small moveable drink platforms. We were seated upstairs and it was fairly quiet so we were able to talk. Our group decided to try the Holiday Flight and the Syrah Flight. First off - how awesome is it that they have a flight dedicated to syrah?! I love syrah and was really happy to try them all. Each of the wines on both flights were tasty. There was not one that I disliked and most of them were so good that I'd absolutely order again. This is a winery y'all need to try.

Update. We stopped our membership because they changed from complimentary tastings every time you come in to complimentary tastings twice a year and were not transparent at all about it. I can get changing policies with the changing times but not being straightforward is unfortunate. The irony is we only came in quarterly and bought wine every time. Thankfully there are plenty of other places that want the thousands of dollars I have spent on wine here over the years.

This is my favorite winery around right now! First of all, their tasting room is gorgeous! It looks brand new. Secondly everyone that works here is incredibly kind and loves talking about the different wines. I was really impressed. And lastly... the wine itself is delicious! Charles Smith makes some killer bottles of wine. I recommend signing up for their wine club. You can get free tastings whenever you like and take home a few of your favorite bottles. It's a great date spot or place to just grab a glass of wine in the afternoon!

Charles Smith is ironically (or not, sorry Alanis am I you?) a good Winesmith. He must lose a lot of sleep perfecting his wines. Perhaps he's Sleepless In Seattle. So I knew the song Jet City Woman by... who was it? Queensryche? But never knew what Jet City was, thought it was just someone who flies a lot, a go getter businesswoman maybe. Well, no, it's a Seattle girl is what it is. Duhhhh. Boeing. How did i not figure that out, I've been to the damn place 5 or 6 times. Or wait, maybe I've been less. 2 tours, once before that... so 3 times? Feels like much longer because I spent a long time up here each time. They make very popular and fancy Pacific Northwest Wines and some of them are actually really good. Of course the European stuff will always be the best, but as far as Washington State wines go these are some of the better ones.

This tasting room used to be known for its killer parties and events. Since COVID, it's barely even open. I ended my membership this summer because I feel like now Charles Smith is using his huge membership base to bring in money, but doesn't really care as much about his storefront presence. Partially I get it because, well COVID. But it's been almost two years. Everyone is opened with restrictions. During the summer, there would be "patio" tastings, then you'd show up and the place would be deserted and closed. As a member or non-member, currently, they're only open with reservations. Which are never available. Shouldn't members get precedence? I'd think so...I don't just want to get billed for six bottles of wine every few months. I miss that gorgeous tasting room and all the fun that came with it.The wine is still great. But I joined for the social aspect because hey, Washington has some kick ass wine.

Love!Came for a wine passport event. Ended up loving it so I had to come back. And threw the best party ever. First birthday party for Baci! Woof woof. Charles smith wines! So many variety of labels to choose from but I ended up loving their reds and rose. My puppy was turning 1! And they were dog friendly! Naturally, we had the best doggy birthday here. Baci's 1st birthday was an open bar!! And a rose all day party for 30 of our friends!! I chose rose and a few whites. Not sure how many we went through but all the guests left very happy. We had their cheese and charcuterie plates as well. And they let us bring in puppy cakes! Mainly for Baci since we didn't invite any doggos. But all the hooman and my very fluffy doggo: Baci had the best time! Thanks guys!

I have been a member of Smith for years now and I love everything about their wines. There is so much to choose from! Their release parties are awesome and inviting, great pairings, and always so much fun. Everyone working in the tasting room is always knowledgeable and fun to talk to. One of my favorite wine clubs for sure!

The wine is great and there's a wide variety of grapes and price points. I'm a member of the wine club and stop by every now and then to do a tasting. The space is awesome and guests always love it.
