House of Pizza

I've been coming here for years. The lemon pepper chicken pizza is probably my all time favorite pizza, & I've been to Naples with real Italians, so that's saying a lot. The owner is legendary, if you will. I consider him like the soup guy from Seinfeld. You have to order right. So I'm always nervous walking in & ordering because I'm afraid I'll screw it up, & I won't get my lemon pepper chicken pizza, which would be a disaster. It's really that good.

The cheese pizza was good, nothing extraordinary, but it was perfect for enjoying with family at the beach. It had a satisfying crunch, gooey cheese, and was simply delicious.

The pizza here is pretty good especially if you like thin crust. The whole itself is pretty small so there is only outside seating with a slight view of the beach. The service was pretty quick as well.

Grumpy old man working there! I didn't feel welcomed to be buying his pizza. Prices were good just not worth the pizza being served. Being truthfully honest the pizza tasted like school lunch pizza from elementary school.

OUSTANDING Calzone and Pizza AND NOT by the slice only! Service with a smile and great food~4 minute walk from La Jolla Shores Life Guard Tower! Perfect thin crust pizza AND huge Calzone: Meatball, Vegetarian, or Ham & Cheese. Salad avail too! GREAT value for a 16" pizza, meatball Calzone, and 3 drinks! When other restaurants nearby are charging La Jolla tourist prices, House of Pizza has family friendly prices for MORE FOOD! Buon Appetito!!

Súper thin pizza. This pizza is like eating cardboard. Exact words of my 10,12 and 8 year old food critic. I couldn't agree more my husband and I just didn't eat. Owner had a bit of an attitude too. Maybe he had a bad day.(I didn't ask for any condiments such as pepper flakes or cheese). But does not come with.

Wanted to try a local pizza place after recently moving to town and glad I did. Looking forward to trying the lemon pepper chicken pizza and a calzone next visit. The owner was friendly and let him know it was my first visit when picking up and once I got home to enjoy I realized he made the pizza perfectly couldn't have asked for a better pizza. He gained a new customer

I've been visiting La Jolla, CA from a very young age, and nearly every trip as far back as I can remember has included a trip to House of Pizza.The Lemon Pepper Chicken Pizza at this place is perhaps my absolute favorite pizza of all time. Absolutely delicious, thin-crust goodness!Also of note, this spot is a mere block or two from La Jolla Shores Beach and it's ALWAYS a good idea to grab a pizza pie here and sit and enjoy it on the beach.

The food was very yummy, but there was a grumpy old man who took our order but it's okay because the food was delicious!! Would Recommend!!

The place is tiny but the old man is great he works hard gives u a great product for a fair price I'm a local I have lived here since 1975 this shop has been many pizzas shops over the years he has been here a minute u can go around the corner and pay 2-3 times as much but it so not better this is the spot for the shores
