House Modern Sushi Restaurant

The food is pretty low quality, with sickly sweet sauce that overpowered most rolls. The baked rolls all crumbled and had to be eaten with a spoon. I'm not sure if we were just there on an off day, but for the 12 of us that were there, only one person enjoyed their entree.

My favorite sushi restaurant in the valley.I no longer live in the area, but every time I come to phoenix I make sure to stop herealways good and fresh food lots of variety for rolls and reasonable price

This place was so good!! I usually find something I don't like about a place but everything we had was delicious. The spicy tuna was so good and had great flavor. The staff was friendly and attentive. They aren't big so it does fill up fast but they did a great job getting our order. The desserts were also very tasty and overall the meal was pleasant. Restaurant was clean and a were the restrooms. Would recommend this place and will be back when I'm on this side of town.

This place is a hidden gem. They've been around 14 years, and the family run operation is unreal. If you go, order Tako Salad which isn't on menu, but a family favorite, so they generally have some in the back. I'm not usually a roll guy, but the "69" roll and the "What the Heck", equally different and delicious. The service is great, and they are constantly bringing food when you send an order. It's really an awesome place for a small group and you can share. Not a huge place, so it's good to check, but the turnover is very quick, and it's right next to a good bar if you have to wait a bit

I absolutely love this place. The food is great every time, so I love the consistency. The service is also great. It's a small restaurant but very charming in the way it's been decorated. Would highly recommend visiting

CRUNCHY SCALLOP ROLL. YELLOWTAIL LOVER. All caps bc these rolls deserve to be shouted about! Crispy scallops on top of crab rolls -- what a phenomenal combination! Chef's Kiss!!! I HAVE NEVER HAD SUSHI LIKE THIS IN MY LIFE!!!! Also, my husband LOVES the soy sauce! I wonder if it's Korean soy sauce since the owners seemed to be Korean. Regardless, this place is... (Hand to God)... AMAZING. I really hope they never go down hill and change recipes, quality of ingredients, or anything.I mean, it was so darn delicious that it pains me to even wonder why it took me this long to find this place. Service was courteous, prompt, and fast. Ambiance? Well, it does not look like its namesake -- a "House Modern Sushi". However, I love a sushi place that looks like a traditional sushi bar. Overall, go here for exceptional sushi and flavor combinations not ambiance.

The yellow tail was so delectable you would salivate just thinking about it.The albacore was fresh as the prince of bel air The tuna just melts in your mouth tantalizing your taste buds thoroughly.The unagi (eel) was scrumptious desert.I highly recommend this place if you want delicious sushi and a lovely atmosphere
