Amazing Sonoran hot dogs!!!! I missed these from LA sooo much. I would go here more often if I lived closer :(. The truck was pretty easy to spot, it's in a parking lot with plenty of parking spaces. When we went, there was also a stand nearby with a woman selling delicious looking desserts. There aren't tables or chairs for dining, so we sat on a ledge/wall near our car. We got the Yaqui (original; $6) and the Chile-dogo ($7.50). They were amazing! We couldn't tell much of a different between the Yaqui and Chile-dogo in terms of taste (and presentation is very similar too). Both came with a chile pepper on the side. These hot dogs are LOADED!!! I've never had such loaded Sonoran hot dogs, but I loved it! They are on the smaller side, but that's why they're less than $10 (which I think is a great price for these). If you are very hungry or just eat a lot, I would recommend getting more than one. One was enough for me to get to a "good full" because I wasn't starving at the time. It was really messy to eat, so make sure you get napkins. There wasn't any spice to our hot dogs, so next time I want to try one that is spicy; I loved the Yaqui though. The workers were all very friendly and the service was relatively fast considering it was decently busy at the time. I can't wait to go back!

I can't give a food trailer 5 stars, but it's darned close. These are the best Sonoran hot dogs I've had in The Valley. Absolutely top notch. Don't let the dirt parking lot location scare you, because the food will blow you away. Sonoran-style hot dogs originated in the 1980's out of Hermosillo, Mexico, the capital of the Mexican state of Sonora. It is a hot dog that is wrapped in bacon and grilled, served on a bolillo-style hot dog bun, and topped with pinto beans, onions, tomatoes, and all kinds of other delectable goodies including mayonnaise, mustard, and jalapeño salsa. La Yaquesita takes the whole thing even further by offering variations on the theme. You can get ones with hot Cheetos (excellent), chorizo, chili, and even a "Keto" version without the bun. But ohhhh that bun! It's soft and steamy and rich and delicate and the perfect foil for the grilled dog inside and all those toppings... A Sonoran dog is a meal, and you won't walk away hungry. So La Yaquesita is in a trailer/food stand in a dirt lot in Avondale. They open at 6pm and go till the 'dogs run out. They treat their customers well and people keep coming back. Be prepared to stand in line though. Also, they don't serve French fries so that's a little different from some of the other vendors. It is estimated the the Phoenix valley has some 250 or more Sonoran dog vendors ("doguerros"), and this is one of the absolute best. Fresh and hot, come and get 'em.

There are a lot of sonoran style hot dog stands in the west valley so it's hard to determine which one is the best. What caught my attention to even come here was the unique menu options that they offer. I went with the hot Cheeto dogo and the Chile dogo because they looked very appetizing. The hot Cheeto one tasted good, I liked that they broke up the chips into small pieces so that eating the whole thing would be easier. The Chile dog to my surprise was not as spicy as I was hoping it would be. Still both hot dogs were very fulfilling.Would I drive out of my way to come again? Maybe not. However if I happened to be in the area, then I would recommend coming here.

I was not impressed! A simple hot dog for $4.50 just ketchup and mustard. It was tiny and honestly not worth the drive. The hot dog itself was hidden under the liter of sauces. Save the $5 go to frys get you some bread and hotdogs and make em yourself! I wouldn't recommend!
